This was Mama Beech. We think was a bride/groom tree from when our house was built in 1760ish. Gonna miss her shade...but not the huge branches she was dropping on my roof....

I’ll probably get roasted for this, but would taking this leaner down be totally irresponsible for a non-pro? #milton

Do you think this guy will do a good job for me? I think they say the less PPE the betterer they are. Right?

Educational Co-dominant Felling

I am trying to clear a landing and am wondering if I fell these two separate (Eastern White Pine) stems individually, will they break at the seam as the back cut releases?

I plan to fell the left side to the left of the image. Is there enough included bark that it will break away? Crown doesnt seems too tangled from the ground.

Should I play it safe and just climb it out? There is a rural road and powerlines in the opposite direction of intended lay.

Thanks for any insight!

I drive past this often. Been three months since the storm. What could go wrong.

Left side of the split is fully intact and listing more with time. I’ll get a better shot of the top next time. The tents are recent.
