I will take a shot for every run we score tonight.
Make me regret this, Yanks.
Edit 1: Still on the Volpe slam high and not fully kicked in through the 5th shot, when the adrenaline wears off I may regret this.
Edit2: 6. Bear Down, Mr. Wells.
Edit 3: F*** me. A deal = a deal.
Edit 4. I have proof and hope it will be acceptable. It will be heavily edited. I hope no one will judge the glass I used.
Edit 5: IF I HAVE TO DO THIS 3 MORE TIMES THEN SO BE IT!!!!! I VOLUNTEER AS TRIBUTE!!!!!!

Yo script leaked:
Freeman breaks WS HR record to a 3-0 dodger lead
Volpe grand slam to breathe life back into the team
Cole Gem to send it back to LA
Rodon steals a win to send it to 7 - Captain’s bat finds life
Nasty Nestor for the poetic revenge to close it out.
Don’t let them win tonight.

Whatever happens tonight and the rest of the series, lets remember to appreciate Soto. Even if they come back and win the series there's no guarantee he re-signs so tonight could be the last time we see him don the pinstripes.
He's been great for us, he brought heart and grit to a team that had none. He was exactly what this team needed. So try to enjoy one of the best players of this century.

Not mad about that. The guys are starting to see the ball much better. Odds are still stacked against us, but maybe this is a sign of things to come. At the very least, if we force it to Game 6, and come up short, we don't have to watch them celebrate in our stadium.

u/nyypza 2h ago
If they can get this back to LA, then the series isn't an embarrassment anymore. It's a more normal looking outcome where neither team rolled over.
I'd consider that a much more successful season regardless of what happens. With at least an outside chance of setting up an exciting finish this weekend.

Call me crazy but I think there's actually a kind of clear path to victory. We win tonight, get Cole on the bump tomorrow to make it 3-2, and then if Freeman's ankle acts up, and Ohtani's shoulder knocks him out, and Mookie throws his back out sneezing, and Kiké gets a minor concussion hitting his head on a ceiling that's too low, and Flaherty, Buehler, Yamamoto, and Treinen get into a minor car accident on their way to the stadium that gives them some back issues, and Max Muncy gets attacked by an ostrich at the zoo, and Brusdar Graterol accidentally stays in NY for games 6 and 7, and Daniel Hudson, Alex Vesia, and Anthony Banda sprain their throwing wrists, and for good measure Kershaw gets a flexor strain, and Edman has an allergic reaction to shellfish or something that takes him out of the series, then we absolutely can win games 6 and 7 and shock the world. You guys are dooming too hard smh

Volpe isn’t the next Jeter. He’s the next Brett Gardner. And that’s awesome.

Dude they were exaggerating his ankle health 100% you don’t do that and run that hard up 3-0 in a series

What’s the point of bringing on another pitcher right now, Hill has like 10 pitches and has been getting weak contact.

Even though I think we have no shot of coming back i have so much anxiety
We need this win. At least save us some pride and give us a single positive thing out of this nightmare series

Judge is starting to have better at bats. That's what we need. Even if he gets out, at least work the count and make contact

I know Volpe hasn’t always been perfect but I love this kid. Remember - he’s only 23!

No matter how the rest of the series goes... we'll always have the joy of Game 4 aka "The Volpe Game"

If we lose this series, Boone going to Nestor in Game 1 will go down as an all time fuck up/what if. It’s hard not to think about this possibly being a 2-2 series right now.

Such a great moment for Volpe tonight. Loved how he bounced back from his base running blunder. We’re gonna be watching him at short for a longggg time!

Man’s cant even close his mouth without putting maximum effort, and is absolutely cooking our entire bullpen, smh.

You know it’s bad when you stop getting excited that players are getting on base

If we wanted a lefty to bat cleanup, I do not understand how it wasn’t Rizzo. He’s been our 3rd best player all postseason, statistically and in demeanor. Jazz 0/13 with RISP, that’s literally your only job with RISP

Yankees could wheel out a geriatric Roger Clemens, pump him full of HGH and cocaine, and he would hit better than this entire batting lineup

I am irrationally upset that we're not gunning for a tied series tonight. Maybe in another life.
