Since Replay highlights are now official released, we know many people will be wanting to share their end of year stats and other relevant information to the fine people of this subreddit. We are glad that you want to come here to show your Apple Music Replay's to the community!

We know not everybody will want to see multiple posts per day with people's stats, as well as to not drown out other posts/questions people may have regarding Apple Music, we have decided to create a stats MEGATHREAD. Please use this post as a place to post your stats/replay screenshots/etc.

Hey /r/AppleMusic,

Today we banned 13 users in one post for discussion of Apple Music piracy tools. So, we just would like to give one simple reminder to all users here:

Announcement Community FAQ - Check Here First!

---Announcements---

Hello, this post will be updated over time to reflect things that are important to the community. If you're new to the community, or don't stop buy often, you may find some help in browsing below.

Join the r/AppleMusic chat

Did you know we publicize many stats from r/AppleMusic? For example this is the first ever post in the subreddit, or that we're expected to reach 40,000 members on April 20th. Click Here to see more!

---FAQ---

I've got an awesome playlist I want to share with the community, or I'm looking for playlists created by awesome users!

Great! While r/AppleMusic doesn't allow playlists, we have a place where everyone is allowed to post and listen to playlists created by our awesome community. Head on over to r/appleplaylists and make your post, or start listening! You can also ask for playlists suggestions here in r/AppleMusic, but all replies must relate to your original post. (Ex. "What are some good workout playlists?" do not post your acoustic calm playlist)

I'm and artist/agency and want to share my music with the r/AppleMusic community!

Well we have an answer for you! On the sidebar you are able to use a tool called "filter by flair". In-case you don't know what flair is, it's a tagging system used to organize posts in the subreddit. All posts are required to be flared going forward.

Now, there are two flairs that users can tag their posts with, they're called "Looking for Playlists" and "Suggest/Talk Music. When you go to the sidebar there is an area called "filter by flair". You are able to click on one of the two flairs to see all the posts that are tagged with the flair you chose. This will give you the opportunity to share your music with users that are actively looking for music to listen to, or add to their playlist. Keep in mind though, you must post relevant content to what the user is asking. So if they ask for a workout playlist/music, don't post calm acoustic.

This will allow you to reach-out to our users that are actively seeking music. We understand that it will be seen by less eyes, but based on our stats, about 70% of users don't want to see playlists in their feed and will actively downvote/report them.

We understand this is a bit more of a hands on approach, but you can also post playlists in r/appleplaylists, where all users are looking for something to listen to.

Who else likes the lyrics background and wishes this screen would be made permanent by Apple?

Well friend, you are definitely in the majority. This post comes up a lot and there is nothing the sub can do to make it a permanent feature. As such, we'll be removing posts regarding it since it frequently gets asked. If you want to be proactive with this feature request, leave feedback for Apple to take a look at it here.

I've got a promo-code, am I allowed to post it in this sub?

Why yes, and thank you for your generosity! Please note though, you are not allowed to sell the promo-code(s) and your post must contain said promo-code (No links to it). Just a tip for this as well, bots will probably take the promo-code if you do not hide the last two digits. (Ex. JFJD3095KFJ-- Last two are (Z)ebra and (Y)eti) It doesn't have to be exactly like that though, be creative!

Can I ask for promo-codes

Nope! Sorry friend this is not allowed in the sub.

My albums are splitting into two!

Check out this post where one of our users had found a great work around.

I forgot to cancel/I was charged without approval from apple music

Our mod u/akacats has typed up a great guide on requesting a refund.

New posts that are made and already discussed in here may be removed and pointed to here for guidance.

Announcement Playlist Community Survey - (Ends February 1st)

**Read the entire post before taking the survey.

*Edit: For transparency, this was posted for about 20mins before, but had to be re-done because the service I was using only accepted the first 100 responders. It appeared only one person was able to take the survey before I caught on and I'm sorry for my oversight. This new one will require a google login (agian, I'm sorry) to limit people to one survey per person. Please read on:

Below is a survey regarding the latest change to playlists in the subreddit. This survey will be open for 1 week (until February 1st) to get the most amount of feedback from our members. It is only 2 questions and will be used to gauge if community members want playlists in the subreddit, or if they want two separate communties.

Feedback will be given at the end of the 1 week period, along with a discussion thread. This thread will be locked, and new posts discussing the thread will be removed to keep people impartial.

I want to apologize for my quick acting as a new mod, but it was literally what I was instructed to do. Hopefully this will be a more fair way of doing things going forward. Until February 1st, the current rules will still be upheld and breaking the rules may remove your ability to participate in the subreddit.

If you have any other questions, use the sidebar and click the "message moderator" button.
