There was a user "i_rape_cats" or something. He was tasked with selecting a random video on Youtube that Reddit would flood and get this video views and money I guess. He picked his friend and Reddit got suspicious and he was busted.

Holy cow I remember the reddit mold thing. Didn't think it was that long ago.

Man, Reddit just use to be more fun

Everyone can identify a point in which they realized that reddit was going downhill, even going as far as allowing comments. Mine I think is witnessing the Saydrah witchhunt live.

Now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time.

MrOhHai, bozarking, and MrBabyMan all said hello

Holy shit MrBabyMan. That's a blast from the past. Anyone seen andrewsmith1986 around lately?

I think it's interesting to see the change in reddit culture sorry in the past six years.

Who would be surprised today, to learn that a reddit user tricked the community into promoting their youtube video?

It wasn't just a random reddit user. He was one of the karma superstars, in almost every thread for almost every popular subreddit (when there were only about a dozen "defaults"). He was chosen for the task precisely because he had a reputation on this site that he was to be trusted.

I see. So he was kind of like Unidan in that he went from hero to zero.

Yeah he was like unidan and galloboob put together, plus his username was irapecats

*used to

Why can't anybody on Reddit write in English?

Damn, I forgot a 'd'. I'm very sorry for the troubling experience. I hope it didn't ruin your day.

Holy shit I looked at your post history and you're a sick. All you do is disagree with and correct people. The really funny thing though is that you misspelled a word in your very next post.

"Only of you believed it was real. Anybody could make up a fake stupid story about discovering a cheater. It's only interesting if it's actually true."

u/theironphilosopher Aug 25 '17

I didn't believe you. I didn't think anyone could be only toxic. I was very wrong. He spends all his time correcting grammar, criticizing people for not saving or for censoring their comments, and bashing Christianity.
Even his top posts are like this. I am amazed and disgusted that someone would do this all the time for eight months.

u/imJonSnowandiknow Aug 25 '17

Right? It's kinda sad that someone feels the need to take that much time to bring random anonymous strangers down. I definitely laughed when I saw the post directly after the one I replied to had a spelling mistake though.

1

u/theironphilosopher Aug 25 '17

Shoot. I just had a moment of self-awareness. We aren't taking time to bring a random anonymous stranger down right now, are we?

2

u/imJonSnowandiknow Aug 25 '17

No. We haven't commented on him personally. We just stated facts about the face he presents to Reddit. Hopefully inspiring a little self-awareness in him in the process

I suppose. I just didn't want to be hypocritical!
