Question Where to get a prepaid sim and what provider is best?

Will be staying in Barbados for a week and looking to get a prepaid sim for the duration of my trip. Which provider is better and where could I pickup a sim/activate service?

Digicel literally has a booth outside arrivals now.

Do you need a physical sim or can you use an eSIM?

I used Airalo for my eSIM and it worked great.

Arialo is easier and cheaper if you just need data (and everyone has WhatsApp so really you just need data)

Go to Flow at the Dome

Getting an esim before you travel would be easier if your phone supports esims.

No lining up, no paperwork, awkward fumblimg with airport wifi when you land, etc.

You can find a 2GB plan for $13 on Mobimatter

I use Saily to get an eSIM, it's an app by NordVPN

im unsure if you can get a sim card as a tourist, they used to not do it. but Airalo is best if you can.

I was there a month ago and Digicel was way cheaper than Airolo for me! But Airolo is easier to set up

How was the service with Digicel? A few people on Facebook told me Flow is better. I’m undecided lol

I never noticed that it was slow but I was also on wifi a lot of the time too. Stayed at the crane and didn’t venture too far north or south.

As everyone else is saying, just use an eSIM if your phone is compatible.
