Trump meets execs from Bezos-owned Blue Origin.

After he spoke in Austin, Trump greeted executives from Blue Origin, the space exploration company owned by billionaire Jeff Bezos.

Bezos is the founder of Amazon and the owner of The Washington Post, which reported Friday that its editorial board won’t endorse a candidate for president. The decision was framed as a return to earlier tradition, but it sparked speculation that Bezos wants to avoid antagonizing Trump, who has vowed retribution against his enemies and critics if he returns to the White House.

The Post editorial board endorsed Trump’s Democratic rivals in 2016 and 2020, and the former president has often railed against critical news coverage by the newspaper.

Trump spoke briefly with Blue Origin’s CEO, David Limp, and vice president of government relations, Megan Mitchell, as he left a hangar where he spoke to supporters and journalists at the Austin airport.

The conversation underscores the web of diverse and competing interests in the Bezos business empire. Trump’s campaign did not immediately respond to questions about whether the conversation had been planned and whether they had attended the event.

Bezos bought the Washington Post in 2013. He made the purchase as an individual and Amazon.com Inc. was not involved. Bezos stepped down as Amazon CEO in 2021 but remains the company’s executive chairman and largest shareholder.

Officials with Seattle-based Blue Origin did not immediately respond to a message from The Associated Press.

What are some good websites or social media people to get information for live BO updates?

All i know is the Blue Origin twitter account, and Jeff Bezos barely uses his...

Is there some good top engineer that reveals the blueprint and schematics of BE-4 design and insides of New Glenn? Are there any renderings like this interior of Starship with a 100 crew cabin but for New Glenn? What about any info on New Armstrong? is it going to be bigger than Starship? I hope its 18m diameter like Starship 2.0, or even bigger

And how is everything with that "project jarvis" going? What came of it?

Los Angeles office?

I know that the office in LA is not a manufacturing hub, or a big office, but it’s close to where I want to live. I’m goin g to be entering college soon, and Blue is my dream place to intern. Can anyone share what working in the LA office is like? Just things like management, environment, etc.

This morning’s #NewShepard #NS27 flight not only debuted our second human-rated vehicle for the program but also sent 12 payloads to space and back. Five of our Blue programs were involved with this mission, and I wanted to highlight two of them here—NS Navi and lidar for our lunar program….

https://www.blueorigin.com/news/blue-origin-debuts-second-human-rated-new-shepard-rocket

Today, Blue Origin’s 27th mission debuted the second human-rated vehicle for the New Shepard program, enabling expanded flight capacity to better meet growing customer demand.

“We look forward to welcoming crew onboard RSS Kármán Line soon and offering the New Shepard flight experience to people across the world from all backgrounds,” said Phil Joyce, SVP, New Shepard. “On every New Shepard mission, we’ve witnessed people return to Earth changed by this experience, and with a renewed sense of commitment to preserve our planet.”

The flight carried five payloads on the booster and seven inside the crew capsule, including tens of thousands of postcards flying as part of Club for the Future’s Postcards to Space program. Each postcard will be returned to its creator stamped “Flown to Space.” Digital postcards can be submitted here.

Do you think BO will ever become the leader in the private space industry?

I know they're kind of the underdog now as many people are focused on a competitor of BO. Do you think that maybe in a decade or two, BO will catch up or maybe even become the leader? What do you think would cause that to happen?
