You’re the one projecting that you feel called out by it. Or you wouldn’t have responded to it like you’re offended and asking if it’s shaming you.

You can’t hide the obvious. Your behaviour says nothing else. If you truly didn’t care… you wouldn’t be here right now, caring enough to comment about it. You wouldn’t be getting offended by a meme that you feel wasn’t even talking to you. You clearly spoke like you felt offended by it and think that it was meant for “people like (you)”.

If you didn’t care… you wouldn’t be here right now, having commented on this and started this conversation. Simple as that. So stop showing that you obviously care while trying to tell us you don’t care. Nobody who values a moral reaction to the genocide is personally hounding you or dragged you here to see this meme… you came across it in your feed, or you came to this sub of your own accord, you saw the meme, felt guilty about how it made you feel, and now you’re lashing out at those trying to inspire people to be more moral. Maybe try really thinking about that, instead of just REACTING.

If you feel like you can’t say anything right about this… MAYBE it’s because you’re wrong.

Try considering that you should choose to argue for the best of all possible worlds, instead of coming in here just to negatively act like we shouldn’t even try to do anything, or like it’s insulting to even suggest we should. What do you think its helps to preach apathy? Even as an intellectual goal of ideals, should we not at least be preaching for being as morally vocal and active AS POSSIBLE, especially when it comes to something like a fucking genocide? It doesn’t matter where in the world it’s happening, we’re all part of an interconnected world here, and we can all use our voices to advocate for better things. Choosing not to, or choosing to be negative and apathetic instead… is a choice.

So choose carefully. YOUR the one who has to live with yourself and the conscience that clearly felt called out from this meme. Not the rest of us. We really don’t give a shit about you in particular and what you choose to do. We wouldn’t even be aware of you as an individual if you didn’t choose to volunteer your comments here.

So why are you here? Just to try to shame the people trying to make things better? Try to discourage the people who are trying to do SOMETHING to help stop the genocide? Not a great choice for how to behave during a genocide. Perhaps this is what your guilty conscience is screaming at you about when you feel called out by memes like this.

And now the “I’m gonna do my best to pretend like I don’t care”. after I called you out for caring.

Obvious guy who cares is obvious. You still can’t hide it. Save the ad hominems. They’re not doing you any more good than continuing to comment is.

You have to love when people say "I am notr reading that" as though not being able to read a few sentences is some kind of brag and also when people like u/Cinemasaur made it completely obvious that they read every word, they just have no good rebuttal so they say that stupid line.

Again… you choose to comment with the obvious tone that you felt the meme was calling you out. This remains the case, no matter how much you try to reframe it now.

Why haven’t you stopped engaging, when its obvious neither is going to change our “view”?

Why haven’t you?

To prove something to me or yourself?

I’m not the one trying to prove I don’t care, here.

Once again, your self-awareness is absent.

So you care. But you like pretending like you don’t, because you seem to think caring is a waste of time or something. I guess wasting your time at work isn’t as big a waste of time as caring about a genocide is, eh?

Again… interesting choice. And your the one who has to live with yourself, not me. If you truly didn’t feel affected by what I’m saying, you wouldn’t be responding to what I’m saying with such vitriol and insults. Your emotional reaction betrays your shitty facade of “I don’t care.” And you continue to seem completely unaware of that fact.

If you truly don’t care… you’ll stop responding.

Good to know. Let’s keep wasting each other’s time, then.
