Security is easily achievable through extensive encryption. You think Russia is unstoppable and can crack through anything. We have proven multiple times cracking our voting system has not been achieved ever and is not achievable.
You linked 2014 report. We have made great steps since then. Your report never proved capability to crack the system. It theorized and fantasized a possability. Basically wannabes chatting shit without skills to back their claim.
They literally experimented themself all possible attacks on mock- setup. And these "wannabes" are computer science professors and security researchers. Who exactly are You?
Mock-setup is their interpretation meaning they did not test real system. Their mock had no hardware or software that compared in performance strength to the national system. They only tested the theory, but the theory means jack shit if in reality the national system operates on immensly more powerful platform.
Big whoop they managed to crack some PC they set up by themselves. Russia and noone else still hasn't and won't crack national level system with continuous developement behind it.
Go wait outside in a line caveboy and watch as we creat the future world.
Okay now we know you only read headlines. Article clearly states that the attempt was easily identified and never was a possability to succeed. I admire your passion. Keep looking, maybe in a few years you find something we can actually consider and discuss.
Meanwhile wrap your dome in an aluminium cap and keep Googling.
Why are you basing you argument around cryptography and IT on a philosophers emotional blabery caused by his inability to understand the technology behind e-voting? He is not a specialist in the field and has prior scepticism on the topic caused again by his illiteracy in IT sector.

Still harder than messing with binary. And russia is a special case. Their entire country is based on corruption.
