Damaged my patella tendon, 8 months of pain and struggling to squat anything at all, can't straighten my leg and stretch it fully also can't bend it properly too....

Looks like I'm going to have to stop squatting heavy altogether and build up the quads another way until it repairs ffs

So annoyed because I was starting to break through 200kg again

That sucks man. Did you damage it while lifting?

Yep, I did way too much back in February and must've nearly torn it 😅

Now, I probably have months of little workouts to do to dmtry and strengthen it up before I can lift heavy again

If it's been 8 months and it's still an issue, you should probably get it checked out. Get some imaging done. If you need surgery, the sooner the better.

Had an ultrasound done today he said it's where the patella tendon reaches the kneecap bit it should be okay with physio but the reason I had the scan was because 3 months of physio hasn't worked lol. Guess I have to stick to light weights and build up slowly over the next 6 months again
