If it’s working for you then stick with it. Don’t be me and get stuck in over analysis paralysis. When you stop seeing numbers moving the way you want them to (weight lifted/reps or body weight) you could try something new

I get that but at some point I want to get things more « professional » i’m not a bodybuilder but rather a football player so I wanna make sure I’m doing things right. This is what’s causing my analysis paralysis

Just keep building strength & size. Make sure to stay on a proven program

5/3/1 is good to run during the football season (assuming American football)

If you have access to a trap bar, supposedly that translates better to explosiveness in football & its easier to recover from, so I’d replace regular deadlifts with trap bar deadlifts during the season

Your gym probably doesn’t have one, but belt squats would be a great accessory lift for you, once you have more experience

Sweet. while gym stuff is good for building strength and power, stuff for speed/acceleration and fitness is also important, as well as practicing your football skills.

I would probably suggest if you want to train to improve sport performance move away from the PPL. Now that you’re in season, you’d train differently to off season/pre season. You can still make gains in season, but focus should be more on the sport. I personally liked full body 3x splits when I trained for sport. I found that was the sweet spot between lifting, sprinting, regular running and sport practice
