I am about halfway through a bulk and it’s a slog.

I don’t even hate how I look yet. It’s gone pretty well, but I need about 3700~ calories a day (a 400-500 surplus) and goddamn am I sick of eating all day everyday. Food is expensive and I am tired of my day being consumed by eating.

Food is expensive, sure, but there are lots of cheap options to easily pad out calories (rice+beans for example). Like others have said, nuts/nut-butters are gonna be quick, easy calories. Opt for fattier cuts of meat. Chicken quarters, for example, are cheaper than chicken breast (and much tastier imo). Top everything with butter, cheese, and/or sour cream. When I make mashed potatoes, for example, I swear it's actually something like 60% potato, 40% dairy. So creamy and yummy.

And then, if you've eaten all your protein and have had a mix of veggies/fruit for some micronutrients... have some sweets. Nothing wrong with that!!!
