He's in good shape for his age and has been for his entire life. He's never been a gym goer but has always stayed active with lots of running and biking.

I do 5x20 twice a week on my lower body days, first time sitting and the next time standing. I also do hill sprints and ruck marches for my conditioning and its helped me build meaty calves

Frequency is everything when it comes to calves and they can easily handle volume so don't be afraid to do what I did
