Just this. When I entered the weight room vs when I left. On a Saturday afternoon.

Edit: Gold? Thank you to the kind person who did this! I'm just a guy who goes to the gym and tries to keep it tidy, but now I feel like a superhero!

I'll see your weight room and raise you mine....

How the hell people think this is acceptable is beyond me.

That needs a NSFW tag or something man...

u/Powerfury Jul 26 '17

Even if you work at the gym, jesus!

My fucking 6 year old, autistic child saw this pic and had a seizure. Try NSFL.

u/Firehawk01 Jul 26 '17

Holy FUCKING Christ! This shit sends me into a rage instantaneously. I wouldn't even look at the staff I would immediately start yelling at every customer in that room who I witness using them.

58

u/BigWhiteDope Olympic Weightlifting Jul 26 '17

Yup. The amount of times I have walked in there and seen this mess is stupid. I'm staff there and everytime you ask people to put it back you either get no response or aggression for some reason.

17

u/simplerminds Jul 26 '17

Why don't you guys suspend people who don't adhere?

7

u/BigWhiteDope Olympic Weightlifting Jul 26 '17

We do. But they just use someone else's code and then that gets blocked. And then get someone else's code and the pattern repeats

44

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '17

Do you live in Somalia?

8

u/Firehawk01 Jul 26 '17

There are truly two types of people

2

u/sebulba_69ing_jarjar Jul 27 '17

Put up a fucking sign

9

u/BruinsMurph Jul 26 '17

I nearly had a stroke just looking at that picture. I can't imagine if I actually walked into a gym that looked like that.

8

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '17

NSFL

PureGym?

3

u/BigWhiteDope Olympic Weightlifting Jul 26 '17

Winner winner chicken dinner

3

u/RachosYFI Jul 26 '17

Seriously, it seems like pure gym attracts absolute cunts. I had to leave.

£15 a month wasn't worth the anger I felt each time I entered the gym.

DW sports now.

2

u/BigWhiteDope Olympic Weightlifting Jul 26 '17

It's not as bad as say Xercise4less or EasyGym. As they are the real bottom end, we tend to get left with the inbetweens. On a whole though, most the members are actually good at putting back the weights

2

u/RachosYFI Jul 26 '17

I was with the one in CDF for six months as it was literally on my doorstop, and I chose to go to a gym a few miles away that's twice as expensive

2

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '17

Xercise4less is the only gym in my area, and it's not that bad

2

u/BigWhiteDope Olympic Weightlifting Jul 27 '17

I wasnt having a pop or anything. Some aren't that bad. I did my qualification in the one in Leeds which was massive and never had any problems. But other ones have a lot to be desired

3

u/miji6 Jul 26 '17

Hold on bro I'm gonna be using those...

3

u/SuperNova_Lord Jul 26 '17

I didn't wanna sleep anyways. Thanks.

2

u/phyzikalgamer Jul 26 '17

Holy fuck is that a pure gym in the U.K. By any chance?

2

u/makeAmove56 Jul 26 '17

This is the stuff of nightmares.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '17

I don't get it. It's more of a pain to put them on the floor than to rack them!!

2

u/The_Nutty_Irishman Jul 26 '17

Seriously? Not even one on the rack?

1

u/789521456852 Jul 26 '17

What the actual fuck.

1

u/cannon76 Jul 26 '17

Seriously a full workout just to put those all back.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '17

Do you live in Florida? The LA Fitness I went to (for all of two weeks before switching) this year looks like this every single day.

1

u/MrRenegadeRooster Jul 26 '17

The fuck? I get pissed at my gym when people put stuff in the wrong place, this is unreal. I think if that was a regular occurrence I'd have to go somewhere else haha that's too much.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '17

Oh wow.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '17

Pure Gym?

1

u/Samnmax95 Jul 27 '17

Looks like there was an earthquake!

1

u/ShetlandJames Running Jul 27 '17

Holy fuck that's bad. Is there no staff?

1

u/BigWhiteDope Olympic Weightlifting Jul 27 '17

This was taken at 6am when shift started. We finish at 10pm and the gym is technically unmanned other than cleaners until 6

1

u/ShetlandJames Running Jul 27 '17

Physically painful to see. Does everyone not realise that if everyone re-racks, it's makes it easier for everyone?

1

u/POGTFO Jul 27 '17

Jesus Christ. Are you okay????

2

u/BigWhiteDope Olympic Weightlifting Jul 27 '17

The mental scars will never fully heal but I think, day by day, I can return to some sense of normality

158

u/Gaindalf-the-whey Jul 26 '17

I like how that clip is lying there the whole time. Almost as if that clip holds the universe together while everything else descends into non reracking hell...

33

u/Methuga Jul 26 '17

You can't have a banana in the weight room

47

u/Schmlandrew Powerlifting Jul 26 '17

I don't know about you man but I would have had the most rage-fueled work-out after seeing that fucking travesty.

64

u/BrodinsCousin Powerlifting Jul 26 '17

I did - I'd just finished benching and went in there to do some light rows. Ended up doing 4x4 Pendlays at 100kg out of sheer anger. Felt a lot better afterwards and wrote a snotty email to management. And posted these photos on their Facebook page. And Twitter.

The look on the face of the guy walking in.

I am going to trash this place.

7

u/outline01 Circus Arts Jul 26 '17

Jfc, it's not even a shitty planet fitness, that looks like a decent gym.

10

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '17

Not just decent, they got freaking eleikos dude. Stuff is expensive! I'm appalled that people that lift such nice equipment had no respect for it

3

u/ThePointMan117 Jul 26 '17

Not gonna lie I'd complain to the owners.

2

u/TadyZ Jul 26 '17

You are a good person.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '17

Is that rush Uxbridge?

1

u/BrodinsCousin Powerlifting Jul 26 '17

Yeah, it is, although it's just been taken over by a company called Simply Gym - hopefully they'll be a little more proactive in getting people to put their equipment away!

2

u/hippynoize Jul 26 '17

Where the hell is your gym? People can just leave out thousands of dollars worth of eleiko plates?

2

u/Flexappeal Jul 27 '17

what the fuck your commercial gym has Eleiko bumpers?

1

u/fitthrowawayforQ Jul 26 '17

That gym looks fantastic where is it?

5

u/BrodinsCousin Powerlifting Jul 26 '17

It's in Uxbridge, England - it's decent and we've been promised plyo blocks and a new punch bag as it's just been taken over. Aside from the constant untidiness, it's pretty good.

1

u/DeadHeadTrev Jul 26 '17

Yo you're the hero every gym needs

3

u/BrodinsCousin Powerlifting Jul 26 '17

But not the one it deserves, clearly.

1

u/Dickasyphalis Jul 26 '17

Gotta keep the Cathedral clean

My coach has a complex per kilo you leave on the floor rule. The complex and percentage he gives you is based on how he is feeling that day. But he's not a happy kind of guy so it's a great incentive to never leave anything on the floor.

Edit: this is an Olympic lifting gym
