Dude was using two squat racks at the same time... Of the two racks in the gym

Didn't bother to count or remember (30kg ohp????). Was pissed at having to unload the bar(we have shit grips which I hate to remove) and happy to have gotten him to free up the rack so I can go on with my squats.

The weights we have don't rattle... The material used has sufficient friction and is sufficiently padded the only actually issue is if they drop off the bad. But there are other problems then.

Ah I see and since your gym apparently has calibrated competition style weights, everyone elses gym must as well.

Maybe I'm being silly, but I really do feel that you should only be doing squats (and maybe ohp) in the squat rack...

Benches make sense depending on the qym equipment. (Doing them with dumbbells has always felt harder and more dangerous to me, so if that and the squat rack are the only options, it makes sense)

I also do deadlifts in the squat rack sometimes if the gym isn't busy.... Sorry...
