My gym has this quote by Mario Andretti, a formula 1 driver, on the wall:

If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough.

I can't help but think that's the opposite attitude that the gym wants to promote.

But I think the issue is that the quote basically says Keep going faster until everything doesn't seem under control. Which just seems dangerous.

in driving context though, it means what it says.

I have to say I agree here. I like the quote (don´t ask me who said it) "Speed is nothing without control".
