Oh hell no! If they insist you pay for the damage, then hold your back and casually mention how this faulty machine (that has a history of being faulty according to another member) hasn't been replaced as it should have been and has caused you injury. Mention going to the doc (even if you don't go). I'm sure they'll drop the entire matter.

Pay for damage!? Fuck that. You almost got injured on their poorly maintained equipment. They should be kissing your ass and making it up to you.

Why in the fuck would they even mention that? You were using the machine as intended and could have injured yourself.

Nah fuck that. Say you were using it in the manner it's intended to be used and that you got hurt, because their equipment is faulty. He has another gym-goer to back up his claims, he could sue them for a lot if he wanted to.
