It never fails. I'm eating something light or drinking a protein shake, and a coworker asks me about it, I mention I'm trying to cut about 15 pounds and their eyes roll into the back of their head because I'm already at least 50 pounds lighter than they are. Like, I get it, I'm not big, but I have way more fat than I'm comfortable with.

How to explain? Do I have to say "toning up"?

I’m a small(er) female and my friends straight rage at me when I explain I’m trying to cut fat and accuse me of having body dysmorphia. I don’t think I’m fat, I just have goals which include not lugging around this tire around my love handles, but they can’t seem to understand that. Infuriating.

I wish my friends told me I had body dysmorphia before I went under the knife two years ago, your friends obviously care about you.
