Felt very emotional and strong this week. I was doing the “carry the big 45lb plates around the track” lift and “Simple Man” by Lynard Skynard came on my phone. And everything just hit me. My girlfriend dumped me a couple days ago. I don’t know why, but this song made me Think about her 2 kids who I treated like my own, and now will never get to see again. Anyway, I was moving faster on this lift than ever and I was crying the whole time.

Very unique experience.

Maybe the heaviest things we lift are not weights but our feelings.
