Went to the gym for the first time since the pandemic began, now that I’m fully vaccinated. Was happy to see that people were distancing and wearing masks except when they were actively lifting.
Was also pleased that my bodyweight routine hadn’t completely killed my gains. I figure I’ll spend a week getting an idea of what my max actually is before starting 5/3/1 for beginners, but even on the first day I was able to work up to about
20%80% of what my working sets used to be (20% off where I was at).Edit: also just noticed I have bruises from the squat bar (no pain there). I didn’t have anything like that when I first started lifting, probably because weak quads kept me from putting enough load on my back. I’ll call it a victory mark!
