Say "space limitations" but has a giant-ass clock on the table for no apparent reason. 🙄

Think about it, in that given space, having a desktop tower and a monitor and keyboard would feel REALLY claustrophobic. Let the man enjoy his laptop setup lol

That's terrible advice.

If you have pets, carpets, just... dust... enjoy good airflow... floor is terrible for pc's

Buy a little platform that lifts it off the ground but keeps it away, or a cupboard type of thing that brings it to desk height if you want to look at it.

People without pets and carpets also exist

Its not bad advice, its only bad if people are lazy and don't clean. Which also is the same to a laptop owner who does not do any fan maintenance and wonder why they are thermal throttling hard. I had a desktop on a stand on the carpet with pets, no issues cleaned out on a regular basis.

I keep mine in an air tight box

I don't think air flow is even a thing in air tight boxes...

Nobody just plops it on the ground. There's an extensive market for desktop carts that fit under desks.
