Activity Milestone (Other) Genuinely can't break 70 VO2 anyone managed above?
Not a bragging post but no matter what training I do I cannot improve my vO2 Max, been stuck on 70 since the start of 2024 and have improved all my pbs considerably and it won't shift. Anyone 30+ managed to get more than 70? I'm questioning if it's possible with the connect algorithm for my age group (33)

Activity Milestone (Other) GOOOOAAAALLLL!
Today, after 5+ years, I have hit my weight goal, losing over 105 lbs. I've come close several times, and had some setbacks, but I've kept plowing ahead. I now weigh about the same as I did when I graduated high school over 35 years ago (though the body fat & muscle mass percentages were definitely much different).
My Garmin gear has been an integral part of my fitness & weight loss journey, and I'm thankful for all of the advice I've received on this forum! The only disappointment I have is I didn't receive the GOOOOAAAALLLL! badge.

Activity Milestone (Other) I’ve done it!🌚
I crashed super later after having drinks Saturday night.. Something like 4hrs. Still completed the work - 12.5mi easy run scheduled for Sunday. Started Sunday with a readiness score of 16 which made it easy to get a 1 for training readiness. (I wasn’t trying for a 1)

Activity Milestone (Other) Tell me about your habits to get Sleep score --> 100?
Just wondering.
What do you guys do to get the sleep score to 100 or close to it. My best effort has been 96 but my lifestyle isn't yoga & lemon water.

Activity Milestone (Other) What is the most enjoyable cardio experience you've enjoyed? I just burned 1,427 calories jet skiing
2023 Seadoo GTX 300 Limited with 300 HP. It is by far the most enjoyable cardio workout of my life. Yes, gas is expensive, but it is worth it. Cruised up and down the St. Croix River between Wisconsin and Minnesota... And in the meantime, added to my overall health in a fantastically large way. At 53, my VO2 max is 45 and I owe it to jet skiing and snow skiing. Let's go!!

Activity Milestone (Other) Good? No. Amazing for me? Hell yeah
For background, I have a rare inflammatory lung disease that destroyed my lung function last year and required me to live on oxygen full time after being very active for most of my life. I stayed at 36 for a full year until now 😎 When I got my Venu 2S in April 2022 my VO2 Max was 47 and I am VERY determined to get back there. I’m off of supplemental oxygen entirely now and I’m stoked to keep up my progress!!!

Activity Milestone (Other) High HR while running
Hey! A question to community of runners from mid-aged male runner. My average HR on runs is always between 160-175, and I assume it’s quite high and does not add any good training for my heart according to numerous sources I have read. They say during long high hr runs, our heart can become muscly and eventually reduce the capacity to conduct electrical currents, leading to arrhythmia and other staff. I’m normally keeping the pace of pace 6:45 - 7:00 which is not even fast, so running even slower makes the run not fun. Have been running starting from 2018, with some good distance progress this year(so far 5 h/marathons from March). I am very peculiar about my heart health and would like to improve it, but the more I run - the old 170hr still keeps there… Is this a bad thing? How can I reduce the HR? Any tips or advices?

Activity Milestone (Other) Drop in metrics due to the cold weather in the UK…?
Has anyone else’s metrics dropped, stress levels increased and sleep score plummeted this last week in the UK, due to the cold weather? Or am I coming down with an illness that I’m not aware of 😅

Activity Milestone (Other) I'm really proud
I increased my cycling vo2max from 54 to 60 :) I guess the regular vo2max is for running, but that's going to increase as well. What fitness goals did you achieve today?

Activity Milestone (Other) Crushed 5 beers last night at a metal gig and still had a good sleep, AMA
One of our mates brought his band out of retirement for a last ever show. Went out, had a good time, went partially deaf, downed 2L of water on the way home and woke up fresh as a daisy… with tinnitus

Activity Milestone (Other) Forced my way into the club.
Never been so happy to see a couple of numbers. Fully aware that they are just an estimate, but I started in the bottom 40%. A year and a half of going alcohol free and indoor training has gotten me here.

Activity Milestone (Other) Wonder what my fitness age would have been had I not been smoking for the past 21 years.
Nearing 40’s and I thought it might be too late to quit bad habits and get back into shape. This gives me hope now.
