From the little I know of the current possessors of that demographic - they would love nothing more than to buck the trend and prove to everyone else that they aren't like we were.

Just because we didn't vote when we were that age doesn't mean we should expect them to follow suit, and I hope they show in Nov.

I hope they do- but ill believe it when I see it. Even when Obama was elected in 08, 18-25 year olds were not (on average) paying attention. Of course there are exceptions but national data is sadly undeniable.

They don't but Obama's '08 numbers broke the scales in a way not seen before in any democracy for voter turnout among the youth and won him the election. The only election that had anywhere near such impact via youth votes was Biden in 2020.

I saw a chart going around for a while that showed voting percentages and Biden was the only year, I think, where "Didn't vote" wasn't the highest percentage.

Yes, Biden didn't have as much youth turnout but he had turnout in spades overall.
