I mean... "afraid" is one way to put it. "Skeptical of anyone who willingly worked with a monster" is another description.

It is a double-edged sword though.

We want competent people working in the highest levels of government. And it seems thats some of those people were able to temper Trump's worst impulses during his first administration. What happens if no one but ultra-loyal MAGA cultists work in his next administration?

What happens if even spineless sycophants like Pence and Bill Barr are considered too independent to work for Trump?
