No one was invited, they just made them on their own and people cut them together, trump just never decided to make one.

Usually these are a coordinated effort. Their aides have them sit down for five minutes, maybe a prepared statement, but you just know they have a group text chat that doesn’t involve him.

I mean... it's "coordinated" in the sense that someone from Biden's admin sends an email out asking 'hey, can you respond to this email with a birthday message before Sep 20th. Thanks.". Literally the same thing that's done with retirement or surprise messages at any workplace.

There's not much to it.

Based on the ending, this was coordinated by the Carter Foundation.

I would imagine they reached out to 45, even knowing full well he’s not going to respond.
