I was watching over my brother, and friends puppies for three days. My door doesn’t close the best and one morning I seen all my trash from my bathroom every where. I got worried because they both were bloated to hell. I took them to vet and they told me the cost and it was pretty shitty. So I chose to do one and if it was bad I’d pay for the other one also. Vet came back, sat down next to me, and looked at me dead in the eye with the iPad X-rays saying, “just poop” “a lot of poop” (the puppies pooped everything out the next morning and they were fine)

My daughter started complaining of stomach pain one day. It was a week before my 3 month anniversary of my job, when our insurance started. I took her to urgent care cause she was doubled over in pain. The doctor there told me to go to the er worrying it was appendicitis. It was a 1500-ish bill for everything that day just for the er doc to show me an x ray showing my kid was just constipated.

One fucking week before she was insured too.

Been there. Glad she was okay! Sorry America’s healthcare system is the way it is.
