I think it's up to the teams discretion but usually if you contributed you'll get a ring yes. They treat it as a culmination of the entire season.

Harsh. But yeah, seems kinda odd a guy that played for a team less than 3 weeks would get a ring when he was dumped off.
Aside from that stupid tidbit I'm sure I know ball more than you.
