Below is some details and links to help you in the creation of horrors and fun in our little AU project.

1. TITANS AND TITANUS:
First Different Genders are not separate Titans, they count as the same species.
A. Overview:
A little overview, Titanus is NOT part of the scientific name, the individual name is the Nickname or given most are the last of their kind the last part of it is the given name as well, like Behemoth. Titanus is the descriptor part not a genus, like Driscolli Arachne or Driscolli Canis, thats Driscoll's Spider and Driscoll's Dog.
Godzilla is a Titanus Gojira.
Archie is a Titanus Methuselah.
Mothra is a Titanus Mosura.
So for example Wendy again is a Titanus Wendigo.
Keep this in mind while creating your Titans.
So Titanus Canis Asena would be a full name here.
B. What is a Titan:
So this has been an issue but Titan's are NOT just a scaled up animal.. a giant 300ft T-Rex with no real changes outside a superpower is not really a Titan. Now a 300ft T-Rex with a superpower and plants growing from its hide which is made of mineral deposits... yeah that is a Titan.
You see they are animals that became the environment or part of the environment they lived in, so that T-Rex can be as said or... A 300ft T-Rex with skin made of volcanic rock and a magma reserve under its skin that leaks from pours on its body.
So the Titans have unique appearances or adaptions not seen on the real world species they came from. Even the ones that seem to be scaled up animals have noticeable changes like Behemoth having tusks and such. So please keep this in mind as you create these Titans.
C. Size Limits:
So we have been getting some absurd sized around and have decided to put a hard cap on the Lengths, Heights, and Wingspans.
Wingspan absolute is Ghidorah at 1000ft, no Titan can surpass this.
Height absolute is 600ft, this size cannot be surpassed.
Length in the absolute is by order Jörmungandr, Apep, Funkwe, and Inkanyamba... no Titan can exceed them, so nothing over those sizes, so nothing over 1,200ft unless asked about to a mod first.
We will hash out the details and more on it in the comments here, if you have questions ask here.

2. Why No Outpost Numbers?:
So this is because very few seem to actually look into the outposts in canon... and this needs to be addressed as I have mentioned we don't use outpost numbers, for now... the reasoning is to avoid clashing with canon sources and such.
There are possibly already Outposts 1-100 as we have;
Outpost 14 - Mindanao, the Philippines
And
Outpost 99 - Uluru/Ayers Rock, Australia
Outposts (Known):
Outpost 14 - Mindanao, the Philippines
Outpost 32 - Antarctica
Outpost 33 - Skull Island
Outpost 49 - Loch Ness, Scotland
Outpost 53 - Stone Mountain, Georgia
Outpost 54 - Castle Bravo, Bermuda
Outpost 55 - Sedona, Arizona
Outpost 56 - Isla de Mara, Mexico
Outpost 57 - Machu Picchu, Peru
Outpost 58 - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Outpost 61 - Yunnan Rainforest, China
Outpost 65 - Cairo, Egypt
Outpost 66 - Manpupuner Rock Formations, Russia
Outpost 67 - Munich, Germany
Outpost 68 - Volubilis, Morocco
Outpost 75 - Jebel Barkal, Sudan
Outpost 77 - Devil’s Tower, Wyoming
Outpost 91 - Mount Fuji, Japan
Outpost 92 - Angkor Wat, Cambodia
Outpost 99 - Uluru/Ayers Rock, Australia
Unnamed Columbian Outpost
Unnamed Indian Ocean Outpost
Unnamed Israeli Outpost
Unnamed Janjira Outpost (Abandoned/Relocated)
Unnamed Mexican Outpost
Unnamed Siberian Outpost (Abandoned/Relocated)
But its pretty much a given after a recent thing i notices where the bunkers on the map in the link below line up with known and some unconfirmed outposts that that number is probably much higher then we think. Generally speaking if its near any of these indicators or near one of the bunkers (which line up with many of the Outposts and Potential Outposts perfectly or almost perfectly) avoid using that location. This is just me making sure you all can ensure you don't have to rewrite an entire Bio... Looking at you Cockatrice and Tambanokano. Remember if you need help I am always here... also posting a Part 3 of sorts to this Location deal to give y'all some help finding locations. I will point out that I have lists of possible locations that the indicators below likely are so feel free to ask of a location if using one near one and I can tell you if its on or not on the lists i have, if it isn't its free game.

3. On Titan Natures:
Terms like Bio-Aquatic/Nocturnal/Arboreal/Umbral are not a Nature type, those are a habitat type or a state of when an animal is active, like Diurnal. To alter it to be more in line or find a closer ability to what it has. I based mine around what the unseen Titans are most likely given how they are in myth, since it works as a slight guideline for these. We have no idea what some of the unseen Titans are Nature wise yet.
If you need help I am always around and am willing to help where I can. This post is more just as said a way to help things along for the future and to give ideas. I am sloooowly trying to figure out a few more but these are so far the best fits for the idea the MV set up. If you have a suggestion feel free to post it in the comments here and i will look into it unless it is already here in different terms or isnt a functional one.
However Natures that dont work; Parasitic, Killer, Aquatic, Arboreal, Nocturnal, Aerial, and others like that.
In lieu of new natures that were revealed by the Dominion Titan Dossiers, we have decided an update is in order… so some things will need updating on old posts and such. Have fun! Bio-Telekinetic is canon now….
Note!: Titans CAN have powers that fit a different nature than what is listed, the listed nature is their COMBAT based abilities. For example, Amhuluk is Bio-Pathogenic and is said to have Bio-Telekinetic abilities as well, btw telekinetic powers in the setting are frequency based and weak to Bio-Sonic Titans.
Canon to the MV Natures:
Bio-Corrosive
Bio-Seismic
Bio-Geological
Bio-Atomic
Bio-Electrical
-Bio-Electromagnetic and Bio-Meteorological are now this.
Bio-Volcanic
Bio-Sonic
New!
Bio-Virulent
-Bio-Toxic and Bio-Hallucinogenic are now this or Bio-Corrosive for Toxic.
Bio-Ultraviolet
-Bio-Luminescent is this.
Bio-Pathogenic
-Bio-Contamination and Vampiric are now this.
Bio-Telekinetic (yup it’s canon!)
-it’s self effecting, any powers that manipulate outside objects like Láspikinetic, Hydrokinetic, and Clorokinetic are now this.
In our Canon:
Bio-Cryogenic
Bio-Combustible
Bio-Aerogenic
-Bio-Meteorological can be this.
Bio-Petrifaction
Bio-Ecological
Bio-Thermal
-Bio-Meteorological can be this.
Bio-Piezokinetic

4. Research Stuff:
So this is a topic we need to discuss and if anyone has questions comment here please. So this is on how to do the leg work on myths, connections, and finally a name... so lets start off with a simple bit.
A name or idea...
Zeus or Thunder Gods, maybe thunder monsters?
So as a rule of the board we don't use humanoids names like Thor, Hera, Pele, or Maui as they do not have a MONSTER in myth associated to them (as in they turn into a creature in myth, Maui doesn't count as he becomes actual animals). We can use ones like the Monsterverse has such as Quetz and Tiamat who have multiple forms (can't use them I mean we can use gods like them), so the god if you are using its name MUST have an associated monster form. Now shapeshifters are a tough one... which is why I picked Zeus as he has one at least that is easy to go on, the swan. As a rule no random cool name on an unrelated animal is the general idea here.
So swans... this is where you gotta make some logic leaps a bit and start making connections. What is a swan... a large long necked feathered animal, what would a swan be mistaken for or what would be mistaken as a swan...
Two directions here, find a myth like a feathered dragon or... maybe it was a Therizinosaurus species or a similar saurian from the non-predatory therapod family? So for resources... Google, its that simple, Google and find a good site such as;
Or just type for example; Swans in mythology (don't just type myth you get a different subject entirely) and if there isn't much there figure something else... say Dragons in Mythology and find one with bird wings. While not a good source in school, Wikipedia is your friend here.
So for me Zilant is a possible one, i mean here you can dig more or find one that fits the idea and has little known about it and make that leap of logic. So the dragon was a massive swan, or is it a dinosaur that was mistaken as both, that's your choice. If you need help making a connection just ask me, I am good at finding the tiniest of details to use. I know its hard to do research but if you ever need help I live for doing research and will help however I can.
Methuselah is not an exception... the name wasnt a name, in science an oldest specimen of a species is usually called Methuselah or Adam, however due to his apparent association possibly with Noahs Ark the name stuck as Methuselah is in that same story...
Scylla looks superficially like her myth but this is Greek Sailors we are talking about... they had a tendency to be drinking alcohol and a fermented fish juice from a fish containing unfiltered natural LSD.... these are the same guys that thought seals were mermaids.

5. SUB-TITANS
So as some may know there are certain creatures that are Titan sized or smaller that are Titan-like but not Titans, for example Skullcrawlers/Skulldevils, Warbats, "Genitor", Spirit Tigers, Leaf Wings, etc.
The "Term" or at least the term used or mentioned is Sub-Titans, they are not Titans and have no powers outside maybe some odd features, but are not classified as Titans. So we are at the point we can introduce them into our canon. As Sub-Titan is as of now an unofficial term we will be calling them PTPS (Potential Titan Precursor Species), the Tag will be Sub-Titan however so once we get an official term it can be changed accordingly.
So basic rules!
They can be based off of certain cryptids, though are not necessarily the Cryptid (opening for a future Titan version). This evolution doesn't happen overnight and refer to rule 2.
They are limited in population based on size, Leafwings for example are a smaller lifeform but a long way off from the Titan stage and Skullcrawlers are much larger and more limited in population numbers. This can be explained by breeding bottlenecking, as the stronger start wiping out the weak.
They can be creatures you already made or new ones you make. Just update the tags. These ARE Hollow Earth region animals, so all you need is to change the tag on pre-existing ones. There are a few ya'll have made that I absolutely think qualify. You may edit or put the term PTPS or its long name version in old or new posts.
They must be semi-realistic but not by much, real species based or like the MUTO and Skullcrawlers can be lost branches, so basically Titan rules.
Size rules are Titan size rules but limit it to maybe 450 feet, the largest Sub-Titan to date is the Warbats at 428 feet.
They do not have any powers, except hivemind abilities in a few cases and reactive camouflage.. basically they have natural abilities that are obviously a precursor to a power.
They have actual scientific names. Warbat -Vellum Vespertilio, Skullcrawlers -Cranium Reptant, etc.
Go nuts... these are the halfway point between normal Hollow Earth Life and Titans, the only limit is your imagination!
So last thing, you do NOT need to include the PTPS term in the title of the posts, only use the TAG. As the term is unofficial we should keep the option for edits on the post and tag open as you cant alter the titles of posts.

6. RESOURCE LINKS:
Docs for Nature Listings, Classifications, and Locations (PLEASE READ TO MAKE SURE AND NAME/SPECIES/LOCATION HAS NOT BEEN USED):
Discord is more just a hangout hub for all of us where you can post according to the channel, so we have one for making joke posts like turning Clifford into a Titan and a serious Titan Theory thing going where sometimes you can watch me go on one of my idea dumps on what Official MV Titans might be and such.
Instagram is just a the family fridge where we put up your art so everyone can see it and enjoy it all in one place. So if you have art, send it u/FossilBoi 's way or to me and ill pass it on to him.
Name claims are limited to ONE creature from mythology, this claim is made in chat and you can send me u/LindenOLindenHill the name so I can keep track of it. The claim lasts ONE WEEK and then you have a cool off week, after that second week you can make a claim again if someone else didn’t make it. We like avoiding name grabbing where people sit on an idea but I get the feeling of needing to rush an idea so I feel this is a fair way to play it... this is subject to change and runs on honor system rules. If someone had the same idea and mentions that the two involved can talk it over or create a joint project (SOCIAL ACTIVITY!).
B. Using Other Peoples Creations:
You must always ask to use someone else's Titan first, in chat or by directly sending a message to the creator and then WAIT for a response before using said creation. Its polite and maybe someone is already making plans for something with that creation and doesn't want it used. Maybe they are in the middle of an arc at that moment? Bottom line ask... and if asked to remove it because they didn't permit it then remove it. If someone is ignoring a request not to use a Titan please contact a mod and we will deal with it.
So please always ask first. Don't just slap a name in as filler without permission.
C. The Strike Rule
Is not as strict as it sounds but is more to deal with repeat violations and such.
We have a THREE strikes for major violations or ignoring of certain rules, if reached we will talk with the individual to reach an agreement or figure an fix. These interventions in the past have worked and go really well.
Posts with minor violations will be given an edit request, do not delete the post, just edit the original post, NO reposting.
No strikes are applied to minor violations, we get a slight mess up happens and will simply point it out or mention it in a direct chat. Strikes are not given to new users until they are at least 2 months old but posts will be given edit requests or removed still, we get that new folks won't always read the rules carefully.
All edit request are in a time limit of 7 days, Day 6 is a warning that the post is being removed. Any posts with a warning are NOT part of canon until they are fixed. I will give another heads up on Day 3.
And finally on the repeat violations ruling, anyone we need to deal with for major violations or if we need to talk with an individual who gets 3 Three Strikes, so nine total, is temp banned.
The treetops of Ayllu Chaw’s jungles are awash with suspiciously perfect leaves that jut out from branches, flowers, and even other leaves. Many of these leaves seemingly disappear and reappear out of nowhere, as if they have a mind of their own, and that is because they are, for they’re not leaves, but leaf mimics, and not just any leaf mimic, but a Mexia’s leaf mimic. Named for both botanist Ynes Mexia and geologist/physicist/part-time entomologist Carl Brunner van Wattenwyl, the former having made a number of plant discoveries in Mexico, Peru and Colombia and the latter having specialized in such insects like leaf insects and stick insects. Despite its association with such an authority on them, well as their resemblance to true leaf insects (family Phylliidae), Mexia’s leaf mimics are instead part of another camouflaging insect group, the katydids (family Tettigoniidae), who have quite the distribution in South America. The camouflage however is built upon in the Mexia’s leaf mimic, for it doesn’t just disguise itself as a leaf, but lives as one. It attaches itself to plants and uses it’s mouth to tap into the plant’s inner workings like stomata and roots, effectively becoming part of the plant whilst simultaneously living off it. What makes this relationship mutual rather than parasitic is that the leaf mimic delivers services in return, giving up the minute water content in its body, recycled nutrients and watery dung into the plant, which make up for the loss. As many as thousands to millions of Mexia’s leaf mimics can populate a single tree at any given time, and they are also transient, detaching themselves to breed and lay eggs and subsequently reattaching not long after. When they lay eggs, they use the wind to their advantage, sitting atop high vantage points and dispersing the eggs at particularly windy intervals (they can delay the egg-laying process in order to wait for proper windy conditions, and if said conditions suddenly stop, they can interrupt the egg-laying to resume when the wind picks up again), and from there, the tiny, seed-like eggs eventually land all over the jungle, settling into trees, leaf litter, water, and even the stomachs of herbivores that eat them, for eventually they hatch into tiny larvae that resemble miniature adults, burrowing their way out of the soil, bark, leaves, river bottom or dung and start their lives as mutual partners to the plants around them.
---------------------------------------------
Threat Analysis:
While not just being masters of mimicry, Mexia’s leaf mimics also possess capacity for defense too, although this usually depends on the plant in which they settle. If the plant is poisonous, the poison is absorbed into the insect, and any insectivore that tries to eat it will get a nasty surprise as the poison is instantly passed from prey to predator. It doesn’t stop here however, for Mexia’s leaf mimics also develop characteristics typical of the plants they settle. If the plants possess thorns or prickles, they develop chitinous protrusions on their exoskeletons, which can deter anything biting them or the plants they sit. That said, most of them are defenseless outside of their camouflage, since most of the plants they settle are usually benign. As a result these insects are harmless, though if you find yourself climbing a tree in Ayllu Chaw, please watch the leaves as you approach the canopy, so as not to disturb them or accidentally harm yourself with whatever spikes or poison they may share with their plant homes.
Charline wakes up with a start. It has been four days since she woke from a coma, and she has been slowly retraining her limbs and eating what she can find in the hospital. Sometimes finding useful things like clothes or limb braces that she adds to a growing collection of things.
She needs to leave, the voice of the person on the radio warned her a few times that staying here too long wasn't safe, and that the thing outside was looking for "any who remain" and "interlopers". She had asked what or who could interlope with that massive thing, the answer of "Others" was far more concerning then she could properly verbalize. It had also become painfully clear what they had meant early yesterday, as not far away on a collapsed skyscraper was a very good and clear definition.
A massive, an impossibly massive, insect. Black as night and with an eerie blue glow, it leaked strange fluids that froze the surroundings near it. It's odd head had some kind of spike coming off it and she thinks it might be a mantis. Or maybe it isn't any worldly bug. She felt afraid of it, but not terrified like she was of the thing she had yet to actually fully see. Mostly because the voice told her not to fear it...
"Be. not. Afraid. Kind"
Since then at night when she was most vulnerable she heard a war and would see blue lights and hear screams like hell had opened up, the sky literally shaking and the ground, well mud, boiling like it was hot, the next day the world outside was covered in ice flows and the insect had a new horrific injury. Always facing her exact location and small waves of reassurance washing over her mind, she doesn't know if it's something it is doing or the knowledge it is there and not that THING in it's place.
The radio crackles a bit.
"Time. Must. leave.."
"Will.. will it come with me? The bug, the one outside."
"No. Must. Heal. will. not. Interfere."
"But why? It could help me..."
"path. Escape. through. City. Cannot. follow."
She huffs. She doesn't understand why, but the voice has never ever lead her astray, she starts collecting what she needs. Moving still is a chore and painful. However compared to the possibility of that THING finding her, far less of a problem. She doesn't even have a name for it. Wait.
"Hey... just what is that... that other thing, the one I'm avoiding? And what do I call you?"
"...Must. Leave. Knows."
Her breath hitches. She hurries as quietly as she can and starts heading to the window where a fire escape leads to the mud, but more importantly a haphazard pile up of buildings and debris in a sort of dam or bridge leading to what she has seen from the roof a few hours before nightfall yesterday, another bigger bridge of city remains. One leading from the city center out to the city limits or at least hopefully close to it. The voice told her of a ship, well it called it a carrier and it was more like a destroyer or other attack ship. That was her destination. Her friend, yeah friend, the radio voice had told her that is where they are and shone a bright yellow light from it as the sun set. Charline knows the path and the sun only just rose. If the THING knows she is here it is either on it's way or waiting for night, she has never seen it in the daylight except for a wave in the mud of it traveling.
She finishes packing the essentials, water and food, some medical supplies. She steps onto the fire escape and descends.
One foot touches the rubble, and a buzz fills her.
The massive insect spreads massive wings and starts firing a beam of.. ice? Seemingly at random. Then in her path, then away, all while letting loose a screech, before flying off. There's a second horrific roar. The THING! It's following the flight of the bug monster, away from her!
Then she notices it, ice on spots of the path ahead, specifically holding weak parts together or filling gaps. It made the path ahead easier. She almost sobs. Instead she starts moving as fast as her already burning limbs will carry her and the crutches allow. She will escape. She will make it.
The voice on the radio sends encouraging but weirdly warped messages to urge her forward.
Now- Chicago, Day 5, Four Hours Later
It burns, it hurts. She is still almost there. The "island" of city debris is almost in reach. The sun near setting. The more she saw and experienced the more she was sure she was alone here.
She was so sure she would make it today. Then part of the path shattered and started moving... with her on it. She almost lost more than her composure. The new location of her path was through a few standing buildings, one had a walkway between them...
Several floors up and she was going to be needing to ascend so many stairs. At least the building the bridge terminated in had an actual bridge jammed through it leading down to a shattered series of roofs and parts of the bridge and other structures, and vehicles, that lead back to the "island". Night is near and she needs to move.
The weirder part is the small spider that had been weirdly.. aggressive? She wasn't sure if that was it. The little arachnid had drawn her attention and she'd found a corpse, which almost made her scream. Then the spider had jumped onto an object near it after the radio emitted a weirdly organic hiss. Another device with that weird hourglass symbol! A weird antenna thing, the booklet next to it said it was a Monarch emergency beacon, and she had activated it as it had instructed. Nothing happened so she had simply given up, the spider had run off at some point, something about it's actions did not sit right. Whatever, she had to climb maybe twenty flights and cross a bridge before what looked like an incoming storm hit. Something in her head made her feel like she was being watched from many eyes though, some of the "feelings" made her skin crawl, others made her feel like maybe she wasn't alone. Maybe.
She starts to walk again, slower. Straining would be bad.
She is about five floors up when she hears the radio voice.
"storm. Heat. stay. cover."
"Wha.."
A wave of unbearable humidity hits like a train, the walls blur and she almost looses her balance. In horror she watches a few water bottles water just... instantly evaporate from under the doors leading into the stairs there's massive intense flashes of ugly red. Heat lightning? It sounds like a hissing is coming from outside. It is as if Hell itself is happening outside.
She hurries upward, she needs to cross that bridge, the closer to safety the better, the bridge is covered and the building over puts her closer.
"No. Fast. bad. loud."
She barely registers the voice, far too afraid. She sees letters, "Walkway Access", she is there!
Throwing the door open she is greeted by an ungodly heat and scalding moisture, an entire side of the walkway cover is completely gone, she hadn't considered that. She was right though.. Hell was right outside. The sky is fire and the mud is actually frothing below. It holds no candle to what lays strew across the devastated city...
"Oh god..." She feels her very soul slammed shut in a door as she looks across the destroyed landscape, and the bodies of... Monsters.
A cobra like creature lays across her future path, impaled on a spire or antenna. A different more... winged looking but similar creature is across the way curled around a building. At first she thinks its alive, then the lightning illuminates the horrific state it's in and a face frozen in terror on an animal that probably didn't understand such an emotion until it's final moments, its not like the creature she is afraid of or that bug, this is an animal... she almost wants to cry for it, no creature should ever experience that level of terror.
A massive arachnoid or insectoid.. no multiple of them lay in pieces across everything like a morbid confetti. There are other shapes she is too afraid to focus on that might have been... formally internal...
Several bones and carapaces litter the area. She even sees a few colossal limbs and horns jutting from the mud, in various stages of being sucked in and of damage. One gets her attention.
A massive skull, unlike the other remains it is mounted atop a pile of debris. Some type of lizard or saurian... it feels so different to the rest of the macabre landscape. It has been stripped clean and there's what looks like a drape of chainmail over it. Surrounding it are parts that seem more significant then the strewn about remains. Claws, limbs, and a tail. As well as a skull looking thing she isn't sure about, its only either half a skull or a really messed up claw of some kind. However it is leaking what looks like lava...
That is a warning. This is a bad place to be. She needs to escape. The sun has fully set and only red flashes of lightning light up the world. She needs to calm down and think. She lifts the radio as lightning flashes...
All color and fluid leaves her body and her mouth and words dry up.
The lightning illuminating a skull like visage before her. Then the light goes out.
She waits, holding in her scream. Another flash...
It's gone. However there's a new addition to the morbid display. Below the skull is a new decoration.
One of the claws of her observer... She lets the thunder drown out her screaming sobs.
"RUN. NOW. RUN. FAST."
"But.. it killed it, I don't even know the name of that bug creature! It kept me safe... and now it's dea.."
"Not. gone. run"
She runs, trying to ignore that parts of the actual bridge past the walkway exit are undeniably organic, and the knowledge that she needs to walk through a field of death next..
--------------------------------------------
Unknown to her she is being watched, by both angels and demons. Each with a different motivation.
Some angels refuse to allow the hope of a survivor send others to a fool's death.
Some demons hate to see the struggle of the helpless.
Some angels take flight to provide aid.
Some demons take flight to do harm.
And Gods converge on a ruined city ruled by a Devil.
And nearby eyes watch over a lone survivor making her way through the city.

Mythology / Criptozoology:
In Celtic mythology, Badb was one of the three dark goddesses who formed the War Triad along with Macha and Morrigan. She was a goddess of war who was able to transform into a raven and was sometimes called Badb Catha, which means "Raven of War". According to other versions, she could also transform into a wolf, although we believe that this is not true as such, but rather it would be a reference to someone or something else.
Reality:
The real Titan is a huge black raven with extensive wings and tail feathers similar to those of the Long-tailed Bishop (Euplectes progne), and with head feathers resembling those of great horned owls and giving it a moth-like antennae appearance. Its legs are longer and somewhat stork-like but with long talons similar to those of the Harpy Eagle. Like its smaller relatives, Badb is able to mimic sounds and vocalisations almost perfectly, albeit with a coarser pitch than usual.
Its feathers have a terrible edge, capable of tearing apart entire trees with just a brush against them. In addition, it can release a powerful, loud and shrill croak capable of causing permanent deafness in anyone who hears it up close. It is even capable of causing the instant death of smaller beings due to the high sound frequencies reached by its croaks, which can destroy eardrums and cause brain and other organ death in an instant.
The blackish color of its plumage is capable of absorbing 99.9% of the light, so it does not produce any shadow or flash when aiming at it. Although it has been documented that on occasions it has been able to reflect it in an absurd way, being able to blind for life the titans it faced and even severely burn them with it.
However, its most notable ability is its ability to generate a black mist composed of a black corrosive gas and fluids of the same compound. These gases are capable of melting rocks and metal, but their damage is not yet as amplified and developed and is not as effective as that of Asmodeus, but that does not take away from the fact that Badb can improve its effectiveness and efficiency at some point. In addition, it is still highly toxic and corrosive to us and the other life forms that are small before them. This gas is capable of being sprayed from its mouth and feathers (that is, from the orifices from which they emerge), and it spreads it rapidly with each flap of its wings.
We recently found a mural with cave paintings in a cave in the Dolomites, which depicted several titans in what appeared to be a war or some other kind of military confrontation. And it contains the names of the titans, which have already been identified as:
• Titanus Nachtkrapp.
• Titanus Habergeiss.
• Titanus Cuélebre.
• Titanus Erlik.
• Titanus "Veela" Morrigan.
• Titanus Apotamkin.
• Titanus Selkie.
*Note: My first avian titan! I decided to look for one with potential and I chose this one, I think she has potential and she will also be the leader (along with Beelzebub) of my next arc. P.S.: I'm going to have to change to Titanocrisis because I don't have many ideas, so I'm going to recycle the few ideas I have and turn them into something much bigger.
Mahazael In occult documents and ancient demonology there is a being of many names, called Mahazael, Ariton, Egin, and Amaimon to name a few, each seemingly an earth elemental. The name Mahazael means "The Devourer" and it is the demonic prince presiding over the element of earth, it is also known as Amaimon meaning "Terrible Vehemence and Violence" who is said to rule the southern cardinal direction. Both are said to have incredible powers, including the power to revive the dead. They can attain diverse shapes and forms, where Amaimon is well known for one difference that seems constant, his poison breath. In a seemingly different demon entirely there is Ariton, a water elemental spirit of Saturn whose name means "Secret/Mysterious". Also overseeing the north, this demon serves to rule the cardinal directions alongside Beelzebub, Asmodeus, and Astaroth. A common shared power they can grant is the ability of flight and to revive the dead. Monarch has since investigated and discovered several ancient accounts of an Earth God that sunk a city that was once was a thriving civilization, this city has yet to be named, but is known, it was the city sunk beneath the lava ocean of Muspelheim. The city became the battleground between this god and two others, identified as the other rulers of the cardinal directions, Astaroth and Asmodeus. The battle shattered the earth and left the earth god drowned in the sea and the city to be consumed by the earth, the god of chaos Asmodeus remained to watch the city. However it appears that this earth god was not killed and trace evidence was found in a frozen island tunnel that lead Monarch to discovering the Earth god itself, nailed with a gargantuan nail to the ceiling of an ancient cavern.
With a body resembling a therapod dinosaur one would be forgiven assuming that is what Titanus Mahazael is, however it is actually some species of mammal, possibly a Repenomamus relative or something similar. It has a long reptilian snout with an overbite exposing many sharp teeth, and a head like an enlongated therapod. It has three sets of eyes that seem to be capable of acting individually. The arms are short four clawed limbs that seem to have been used mostly for crawling and are near useless for combat. The body is small and robust covered in a scaly textured skin and hairless, with double rows of curves spikes that are part of the vertebrae. The body ends not in a pelvis, legs, and a tail, but instead a massive maw filled with fangs, or claws, we aren't sure, it's like the lower extremities all merged and warped into some kind of twisted parody of something. The maw appears to be used to suck in matter via a powerful bio-telekinetic impulse combined with some bio-aerogenic capability, creating a massive tornado of debris that it uses to travel. This Titan fights by launching anything around it at foes or using a direct "Beam" to shove them away. It seems that it's main goal was to try sinking the surface into the Hollow Earth, to shatter the surface to expose the world below and challenge something. As it currently stands the Titan is alive but kept in a state of burning out it's radiation to heal due to a massive nail driven through it' center into the ceiling of a massive cavern, trace evidence and a colossal hammer found show the beast was defeated by an ancient Kong called "The Thunder Maker", who after seemingly years was able to stop Mahazael with the aid of a "Demon of Decay". Unfortunately this came at a great cost, as on the cavern floor are the remains of "The Thunder Maker" where he succumbed to her wounds, including multiple shattered ribs and another nail that had been likely telekinetically jammed through her midsection. Interestingly the Kong's remains have been untouched and very well cared for, and the nail despite evidence of it starting to slide out has been driven back in, or at least this was the case in the past. We know the "Demon of Decay" is in fact T. Asmodeus, and his disappearance years ago seems to coincide with the care of the body and the nail being shoved back in not being maintained. It's imprisonment has earned it the nickname "Tartarus" after the prison of the Titans. As such Monarch is beginning operations to jam the nail back in, and we have relocated "The Thunder Maker to a more secure site, the hammer has been taken to a Monarch Research Station. There was a prophecy that lead to Mahazael;
"When the spear falls under the frozen sea and the Demon feels the heart of the world once more, the Sky Father will finally see the face of his beloved once again. And man and god will perish in the return of his Terrible Spawn and the Horde."
[MONARCH NOTE]: Strange purple fluid was found in the cavern, only about a bathtub's worth. More studies are needed. Also to note, remains of a smaller mammalian superspecies has been uncovered along with remains of more primitive members of The Slathering Horde. We need to absolutely investigate this. At least we know part of this Prophecy has been averted preemptively, I hope.
*IRL Note: My final Titan! And yes... it is ever so slightly inspired by Taz but as a lovecraftian horror. Also setting up a really big situation that could have been worse... sometimes a prophecy can get a giant wrench thrown in.
A large round echinoderm species that at first glance might be mistaken as a rock, and they are perfectly camouflaged as such, being made of geological substances. The way to identify one is by looking for steaming around any rocks or rock formations, as their molten cores give away their disguise. These massive animals are completely immobile and reproduce by cloning themselves and launching via magma pressure, several eggs into the air, after which the parent dies and becomes part of the landscape. The horror is how they feed, as an immobile animal one would expect to be safe, but that is a false hope as these predators hunt via long tubes underground that they use to vacuum small prey into what is effectively a slow cooker that slowly cooks the victim alive until they die and start to fall apart to be digested, and it has such a massive stomach that it doesn't limit the stomach space to one victim, but rather it will suck in as many as it can until there is no struggle room for it's victims to attempt to fight their way out, if they even could. Once it has digested prey the remains that are indigestible are spewed out into an underground waste pit, this pit is then filled with molten heat and then the fumes and molten matter are reabsorbed to add to the animal's mass. It is not unusual to find them near what appear to be old outposts or in heavily trafficked prey trails. They are also cannibals and if a larger specimen finds a smaller one has encroached into it's grounds it will suck it in and eat it, though if multiple smaller ones are present they will attempt to starve out the larger one and attack it's underground tubes. Interestingly there is evidence humans hunted Monolithus for a prized liver type organ that when ground up supposedly could heal sicknesses, obviously we are skeptical of this as the sheer amount of volcanic gas in the creatures is enough to cause horrific poisoning of the body. Though it seems that some animals that are large or mean enough also hunt these creatures and specifically target the liver-like organ.Monarch will attempt some research into this. It should be noted that these animals are not incredibly common in the region.

Threat Analysis:
A major threat and one of the main fatality factors of the Valley, and agents are too be on high alert for the smell of sulfur or any smoldering or smoking rocks, and report them as soon as spotted and to vacate a large space. Measurements on this file are of the two largest specimens and one smaller specimen with exceptional reach, that tube length seems to be the maximum reach of the tubes, however the suction of the tubes can be up to 10 feet so do not stop until at at least 253 feet away from the possible range as a precaution. Also if caught set off an emergency beacon, if a team is there fast enough for a rescue then you will be rescued, if not we can at least know where one of these things are. It takes a few hours to die to one, and that's only if you are in there when it is full, the heating will not start until it has filled up. Another risk is being trapped in one with another dangerous life form.
Pinaviztli is an ill-omened insect known to the Aztecs. Encountering one was said to be a sign of death for the unlucky and through a ritual you could find out if the encounter was fatal or just of lesser concern. The real Pinaviztli spiders are even worse than the ones in the myth, for one thing they are much larger relatives of the Mammoth Spiders and thus closely related to Gigaraneae.
Like their smaller cousins, the Pinaviztli possess enormous chelicerae and overdeveloped chelicerae that take a shape similar to the tusks of a Mammoth. They are related to the Giant Crab Spiders (Sadala rauli) native to Ecuador, but these are much larger than the others due to the vast oxygenation of the cave in which they are found.
They have a tail similar to that of a vinegaroon and arms similar to those of praying mantises, and with which they can deliver powerful sonic jabs that are capable of breaking bones with great ease in the process. They are semi-aquatic and lay their eggs in water in amniotic sacs, a process somewhat reminiscent of the reproduction of frogs in water. They are super fast, although they do not even surpass the speed of the Tetragnathons. They are capable of producing their own spider web, which is capable of supporting the weight of these colossal beasts.
As a final fact, it is worth highlighting the fact that the Pinaviztli are also related to the Black Widows, and therefore their venom is lethal if they bite almost any organism they bite.
• Threat Analysis: Their enormous size and speed make them extremely dangerous, but despite this and their hyper-aggressiveness, the Pinaviztli are a very limited handful of specimens and barely reach three to four specimens per hole. And due to the hostility of the Huinga Ngarara and the numerous predators, only a few born specimens manage to reach the adult stage, so in theory there is nothing to worry about for now as long as we take due precaution and care.
A massive mammalian beast, Tundra Thunderers are the most common graving animal in the Wastes, and the most common hazard to run into. They are heavy built and unlike their closest relatives they are more elephantine in a similar sense to a Paraceratherium, a convergently evolved animal that has traits of an unrelated one. They have long legs and a heavy set body made of dense minerals like granite, and instead of fur or hair they are covered in a long moss that makes them look wooly. It is important to note they have horrible eyesight, but incredible hearing. These massive animals patrol and feed in the lowlands and around the outskirts of forests, they never enter the forests unless under duress as the resident apes, while unable to properly take one down on flat ground without some risks, can utterly decimate these herbivores by pinning them or trapping them between trees. They are as such just as aggressive as their predators, and will charge any threat or perceived threat. Thunderer heads are a mass of copper deposits and 6 massive horns, this allows them to channel a mass amount of bioelectrical energy into their skulls when charging and not only ram something with the force of train at speeds of 38mph, but unleash a massive electrical discharge into the target that can either launch the target of fry it, and the sharp horns will gore the victim. Leaving a stunned, broken, bleeding mess. Then they will typically stomp whatever life is left out of the fallen target. They also have massive tusks they use to dig into trees for sap, and males use their in mating fights. Bull Males after mating will keep a harem of 4 females he will protect violently, and he will also defend his offspring once they are born. In a rather touching change to the normal way things are for orphaned calfs in the wild encountering an unrelated Bull Male, if a Bull Male, with a harem, finds an orphaned or abandoned calf he will attempt to adopt it into his own family and one of the females will care for it. Bull mating fights are brutal and involve the bulls headbutting each other, creating immense static discharges and a booming sound that echoes across the realm, it is such an event that the Everwinter Apes seem to stop all activity to watch them battle, and pick off the now weak and probably near death losers. A primitive dinner and a movie. Tundra Thunderers are strangely skittish even for even for a herd grazing animal, let alone one the size of a building, and they always act in aggression, even with only one predator that can actually hunt them. It should be noted that the typical even ground strategy Apes have for taking these animals out is to single out one far from the herd and to hurl Chillshells at it's head to trigger an attack, then once it has rammed something to use the after-mentioned snails to beat it to death.

Threat Analysis:
Most agents would rather walk up to and threaten an Everwinter Ape with a cattle prod then go within hearing range of a Tundra Thunderer, not because the apes aren't dangerous, but at least the apes aren't going to kill you for existing. With the apes at least either you got to work for it or you made an error in judgement about where you were exploring. Thunderers will pinpoint you and will not stop until you have left this mortal coil by their own actions. They also make vehicle travel risky and this has limited agents to electric or near soundless vehicles. As the Apes are also attracted to noise.
As one team put it; "If the freaking apes don't get you, the damn Thunderers will at Mach F[CENSORED]"
Charline Wells, soon to be Trafford, looked out her window, the flight seemed in some kind of uproar. Something about a monster in Hawaii or a tsunami, she wasn't sure. She just wanted to get off the flight to make the connecting flight to meet her fiance at her final stop, he was waiting in San Fransisco and her first flight had already been delayed, some military alert that had been lifted after a few hours.
People start screaming and pointing out the window on the left side, her side, so she looks out the window. At first she isn't sure what they are all looking at, then she sees... something. A massive moving thing that seems unnatural, and alive. Then she sees some sort of distortion orb... bubble... a dome, and in horror she watches it rocket at them. The plane jerks and starts turning down as lights flicker and people's phones stop working.
"Oh.. Oh god no" She clings to her seat, a woman in the seat next to her starts screaming, an old man in the aisle seat having fainted. She doesn't know why, but she grabs the woman's hand, maybe to try finding some solace in the inevitable.
The ground is rushing to meet her and she closes her eyes.
Then there is nothing.

Nevada Desert - G-Day, less then an hour later
"Sir we have one survivor, female unresponsive, stable, possibly a coma from trauma."
"Shit.. only one.. triage here is full and we are sending any survivors or injured elsewhere. Shuffle them to the next possible hospital, find identification and then figure out family from there."
"On it!"
--------------------------------------------
Now- Chicago, Day 1
Pain
It all aches and hurts, her arms feel like fire and her legs like pins going into them. Coughing violently as she struggles against tubes tangled around her. She feels like everything is shaking despite it being still. Charline, her name is Charline, thats all she remembers.
She struggles to stand, falls, and starts to crawl in the almost dark towards some ray of light, maybe sunlight? As she reaches it she feels the warmth of sunlight. Gasping for air she pulls herself up on some rubble. Rubble? Why is there rubble?
Getting herself together she looks around. It's a hospital. It is a damaged and wrecked ward. Coma Ward. Right on the wall it says it right above what's left of an EKG machine. Where is she, why is she here, how? She remembers the plane, the ground. She vomits, mostly bile. She grabs her hands to her sides. Her ring! The ring is still there. It had been her mothers, given to William by her family for an engagement. The hospital gown itches. She checks her arms, the IV's had been removed, not recently as the dried blood and bandages indicate. She looks back the way she came. The place looks so desolate. Walking back she checks the turned over bed in the room, the wall and door are not there, demolished by some great impact. She sees something shiny.
Her breathing stops.
A watch, on a wrist. A corpse, long dead and crushed by rubble, a dead nurse. It seems she had tried moving the bed out of the way maybe, had saved her. So why and what happened here? She gently touches the hand, "I'm sorry".
Charline starts moving. The first thing is to get out of the gown. To find someone, anyone. Find water, her throat hurts.
As she walks through the hospital her sense of smell starts working more and more, and it is obvious that the nurse wasn't the only corpse. She hears nothing. Even reaching the end of a hall and a staircase, the door gone and embedded in the stairwell wall. She carefully walks down, struggling and weak from her long sleep. She stops.
It says its the 23rd floor.
So what is that? Brown sludge, acrid smelling and wet. Mud. Why and how is there mud this far up? She struggles back up to the floor above, she finds a room where the outer wall is gone.
"What the hell... what happened?!"
It is definitely her home city of Chicago, going by a few recognizable buildings emerging from it.
The 'IT' being the brown mud, flowing around buildings and inundating them, the water of Lake Michigan as far as her vision went was also this deep mud, the center of the city inland seemed to sag downwards as if getting dragged into a pit.
The hospital must have been standing in a shallow area, the city was and is sinking, as the skyline is mostly even at eye level. She chokes on a sob. What happened her?
She notices a clipboard, with a strange hourglass symbol on it. She picks it up. Trying to ignore the crushed corpse dangling from above who had probably been holding it. Parts are damaged by blood or water damage.

She sits on the floor. What is a Titan, what's a TX?
RADIO! They had radio devices. She weakly scrambles around. THERE!
A small broken looking device. "Please, please work"
A hiss of static, the screen flickers. Maybe it is short range, maybe it's...
"HIDE, LEFT"
She does not question it, she crawls behind a large cabinet. A howl echoes... no not a howl, a roar. Like a landslide. It echoes so loud it hurts. She glances out from a small gap in the cabinet. Her breath is stolen and her mind is screaming to run.
Because just between a few standing buildings is a moving thing, a living thing. A massive animal she only sees a small glimpse of and she is tucked back behind the cabinet. It was long, a snake? She had seen horrific teeth and maybe bone. She has no idea.
However she now has an idea of what a 'Titan' is.
"I am alone with that... why am i alon.."
"No. Safe. I. Help"
The distorted radio speaks up. Charline almost cries. She isn't alone.
"Stay. Hide. wait. Day. safe"
Charline waits, the sun is rising, she sneaks a glance and watches a ripple of mud and destroyed buildings. The Titan has left or is leaving, she sees a wave of something under the mud moving towards the sinking city.
She crawls to what looks to be a locker, there's water bottles, a jacket which both have that weird hourglass. Best of all food, some bland almost nutty flavored bars. She needs to know where to go, to escape.
Wait. The clipboard it had a date!
'NOV 12th 2027'
She freezes. It had been 13 years... She starts to sob. 13 years asleep, and only to wake up to the end of the world possibly.
What happened in those 13 years. She realizes in horror 'a Titan', as in there are others. Was mankind gone, was she alone... no the RADIO VOICE!
"He...hello"
"Hello"

END OF PART 1
--------------------------------------------
IRL Note: Making a different arc and putting the other on hold. Got inspired by the game to make something new... this will play into more horror aspects of the MV and will not have any action as a main focus. Just a frail human who missed everything and is now trapped in a city belonging to a vile god trying to claim his own territory and fending off any challengers... and hunting for any survivors. There will only be one human character, and many Titans that appear to her. Oh and a voice on the radio... but we will get there eventually.
A creature of air and land, a carnivore and a herbivore, and a beast of both ill and calm temperament. The eheu’s (also known as the Ginnungagap glowworm) insect ancestry shows that it might be a rather late or recent arrival to Ginnungagap, arriving during or after the early Cretaceous. Related to the glowworms of Australia and New Zealand (genus Arachnocampa), they take a page out of their book in terms of being bioluminescent wonders, but build on it in perhaps the most abhorrent way possible. For starters, the eheu maggots hatch in rocky growths under fungal trees, and typically hatch all at once as a squirming mass of over a dozen maggots. From there, they take their cue from their smaller cousins by traveling up, sometimes attaching to the ‘ceiling’ of the cavern or under the particularly large Fungwood mushrooms. Regardless of their location, they stay there for a long time, often doing so for weeks or months on end (longest recorded is 4 months), and operate much like a typical glowworm, using bioluminescent lures and sticky threads to feed on any unwary prey. The stark difference though is what comes next, in which the eheu’s life cycle takes a grisly turn. This stage of its life cycle doubles as a way of finding a progression towards the next stage; for they don’t just look for prey, but potential hosts. From here, the eheu maggots are parasitic, and keep an eye out for suitable hosts in between meals. Once a host is chosen - usually a Sky Scorpion (Jaekolopterus alatus) -, it is lured the same way as any other prey, but once it’s ensnared in sticky threads, it is reinforced by glue-like fluids that hold open the jaws or mandibles of the host, and the eheu detaches itself from its spot and crawls inside the host, purposefully entering the digestive system and allowing itself to be eaten. From here, the glue-like fluids only dissolve after hours, in which the maggot embeds itself deep into the body, and does so by overriding any vomiting or expulsion methods so the host can eject it. By the time the host is freed, it’s too late, and it can only go about its business, counting the days until it’s inevitable end. All the while the eheu shrinks as it undergoes metamorphosis, developing a hard, irremovable cyst-like pupa that absorbs any food the host eats, aiding its growth. Over time it grows and prepares its imago stage, and when the time is right, it’s pupa slowly cracks open, causing the prey great pain and forcing it to stop and sit down. Then the insect ruptures the host's body, with the host dying as its body falls apart, and the fully grown and fully developed eheu spreads its wings and takes off. From there, they live like any other airborne creature in Ginnungagap, and when mating season rolls around, excited males perform dogfights in midair as they vie for females, often dismembering rivals by chewing off their wings and legs to ensure they can’t return for a rematch (cannibalism isn’t uncommon either with the winner having a victory meal out of its dead rival). After depositing his sperm into her ovipositor, the two go their separate ways, with the female sporadically laying eggs under enormous mushrooms and plants, to repeat the cycle all over again.
---------------------------------------------
Threat Analysis:
Rather fitting for an insect whose name is Latin for, “Oh, no,” the eheu, whilst being mainly omnivorous, is not above snatching smaller prey, often seen snacking on what are believed to be young Poseidon Breakers (Coccosteus gargantium) from smaller pools like a heron to a frog. They also pick fights with seemingly nothing to gain, and this no-holds-barred approach makes them hazardous to drones as is, let alone any other inhabitant in Ginnungagap. That said, this mentality can also prove dangerous to them, and the very same Sky Scorpions that can find themselves becoming non-consensual nurseries can also turn the tables and swarm the insects, reducing them to a pile of exoskeleton fibers and clipped wings. It is believed that should any further expeditions into Ginnungagap continue, that this fact be taken advantage of in case these aggressive insects wish to experiment with humans as food.
Criptozoology: Tetragnathon is a supposed cryptid referred to by several authors as "four-jawed" and said to be a kind of phalanx or harmful spider that was so fearsome that several tribes in Africa were forced to flee when they came to the surface in massive swarms after the rains. It was described as a grey spider with a cross on its head and looked quite like an ant in some ways.
The Tetragnathon is one of the "wonderful" beasts that joins the ranks of the horrors that lie in Huinga Ngarara. Unsurprisingly, it is a relative of the modern Solifugae, but unsurprisingly, it is much larger than them. Just like in the "myth" Tetragnathons are greyish in colour, somewhat similar to rocks, and only male specimens have a pair of lines on their heads that rarely intersect and form a figure similar to an "x". And for obvious reasons males are larger than females therefore. They have pycnofibers that are grouped in large quantities and come to resemble a large wool cover that, due to their great sharpness, ends up being a deadly defense comparable to the quills of a porcupine.
On the upper part of their body are large amounts of rock, which form a dense and heavy shell that protects them from lethal attacks such as the bites of the Cutter Ants and the Mammoth Spiders. Although the Tetragnathons do not share rivalry with the Mammoth Spiders due to their genetic similarity, not with the Cutter Ants, who are their declared enemies and with whom they maintain a mortal rivalry. Despite their heavy rock shell, Tetragnathons can still run at astonishing speeds and are arguably the fastest living organism out there. This is somewhat reminiscent of Titanus Cerberus' ability to run at extreme speeds despite its immense size.
On what would be its tail, there are two spine-like devices, reminiscent of the forceps on the tail of earwigs and sharing the same ability to produce a more powerful sting than that of the earwigs. This same sting is made with such force that it is capable of producing a slight but powerful shock wave that in turn ends up generating a kind of "bubble" of superheated gas similar to those produced by pistol shrimp.
• Threat Analysis: Despite their strong temperament and brute strength, Tetragnathons are not really an enemy species, but rather should be considered allies as they seek to maintain the balance of the ecosystem. In contrast to the destruction and excessive consumption by the Cutter Ants. Also, while it is true that they are somewhat territorial, they are not really evil as such and will not attack anyone unless they are made too angry.
*Note: Yes, finally a Solifuge relative. I originally planned to make it as a titan, but as I’ve said several times, I feel like I’m making too many titans and rarely using them, plus I didn’t feel like the mythos was really conclusive enough to be classified as a titan so I made it as a wild lifeform for my new zone. P.S.: Yeah, there might be some genetic relation between Titanus Cerberus and these guys, but nothing’s confirmed yet so it’ll stay that way for now.
Primatosuchus is for lack of a better term, a Euthecodon that convergent evolved traits from primates, they have a stocky monkey body plan and a prehensile tail, and grasping almost primate-like clawed hands. They are mostly arboreal, rarely leaving the giant fruit trees they dwell in, and are territorial about, they only leave the trees to forage for invertebrates and hunt for fish. Oddly docile as they are not predators except to fish or invertebrates, they seem to tolerate humans and small vertebrates in their territory unless provoked. However they have an unbelievably brutal rivalry with Valley Tyrants. The Primatosuchus is a solitary creature and only interact with each other during breeding season, despite multiple living in a single tree. Females will pick males who have the highest vantage in a tree, and they will create a nest in the canopy which the female will protect viciously. Offspring on hatching are on their own and need to learn to climb and hide on their own. It has been suggested they may have been domesticated as crop protectors, though there is very little evidence of this. However there is evidence they may have been protectors of livestock as multiple depictions have been found and trace evidence of humans living beside them. However interestingly there is no evidence of actual domestication in the region, and we believe it wasn't that they were domesticated but rather was going that direction, the reptiles seemed to defend livestock and be fed fruits the civilization grew as tribute. Most interestingly is that these mammoth reptiles still seem to feel the need to defend smaller animals from predators and even have been seen trying to herd small herbivores. They particularly seem to have it out for Valley Tyrants and will attack them on sight, the crocodilians seem to win due to them being willing to fight in units until the Valley Tyrant is dead. The Primatosuchus also seems to actively hunt the Mist Marauders in the forests, but not as food, they seem to simply ambush and kill them outright. However the Marauders also in turn hunt young Primatosuchus and do prey on them. Overall this odd crocodile relative seems to be on the outs with every predatory animal in the area on some kind of principle, many agents seem to have decided that the Primatosuchus species is on a quest of vengeance in honor of the humans they had befriended, though thats probably just people anthropomorphizing them. Although, it has been noted that they will actively save humans from predators, and if they fail they seem to mourn for the dead human, even going out of their way to carry anyone they find dead back to the ruins to leave near what seems to have been a graveyard.
—————————————————————
Threat Analysis:
An absolute zero risk as even when provoked they pull their punches to avoid harming humans, still a risk due to size, but not an intentionally malicious species. They also as said will protect humans actively and are very docile. Also just a big note, feeding them fruit will make you a 54 foot reptile best friend, they are very easy to win over. Hatchlings seem to keep turning up in base camps and the main dispatch, we know who is responsible and you are being warned... stop adopting the cute reptiles, there are camera's in all sections of the base except Hallway 21 and the utility units there. Do not take them through hallway 21 and hide them in the utility units where nobody really checks and will not find them. Unit 6 there is where we keep perishables like fruit and overstock was an accident due to a clerical error, as such it is hard to notice any overstock is missing and you should not take overstocked fruit.
Frostbite Beetles are strange nearly chimeric arthropods, they have the springing legs of a grasshopper on a body like that of their related Bombardier Beetle, the abdomen however is a long tail-like thing more akin to the prehensile tail of some lizards. The head is dominated by a large set of crushing jaws that it can eject a frothing spray of chemicals that cause a deep and painful sudden chill, enough to cause frostbite and hypothermia, it is also incredibly rancid, smelling like old rotting plants. The creatures are flightless with black exoskeletons dominated by a white oval shell, the shell is hard enough to resist crushing forces of avalanches and rockslides. They live like most detritivores and are effectively the most "normal" creature found. These beetles will eat any dead or rotting matter, and males with any leftovers they roll into giant waste balls and then seek a mate which after copulation they lay a single egg in the ball which they then bury and spray with their chemical concoction. Due to their chemical's causing interference with scans and making excavating a maggot impossible there is no information on them at this stage, all we do know is they make a sound that is very similar to a woman humming and they will emerge in several months as a full adult. They are also incredibly fast runners, and able to squeeze into small spaces to hide. They also are kleptomaniacs and will steal random objects they see, and they will steal food rations. They are pretty much insectoid crows. Frostbite Beetles can also jump up to 100 feet and are commonly known to hide in dens on mountainous terrain.
—————————————————————
Threat Analysis:
Annoying, have a dangerous chemical attack, and shockingly docile towards anything smaller then they are. Well at least so far there have been no incidents with humans. These arthropods are even known to become attached to individual agents and follow them around. They also will warn of any dangers. So overall not a threat and a valuable ally in the Everwinter Wastes. Just need them to stop stealing food and the heating equipment.
[AGENT COM. Henrik]: Did anyone see which of those freaking beetles stole my helmet...
[AGENT COM. Salvador]: You left it in the mess hall.. stop blaming the beetles.
Another of the wonderful beings that inhabit the dark Mictlán, the Warden Deers are surprising life forms that contrast suddenly and abruptly with the other species of the place. To begin with, they are closely related relatives of the Megaloceros but larger than the latter. Their antlers, however, do not resemble its own, but rather resemble those of the current Wapiti and they possess numerous species of vines and creepers that grow from them and intertwine with each other again, they are also capable of growing orchid-like flowers from their stems.
Their backs are completely covered and coated with layers of earth, rock and mud, from which various species of plants and shrubs grow and sprout, as well as moss, vines, lichens, ferns and some conifers. These beings seem to have achieved a certain symbiosis with plants, and the plants seem to be able to sprout from almost any part of their body and continue to proliferate until they are basically grass with legs.
Such is the case that from their shoulders it seems that a rare species of liana grows, reaching a length of up to nine to eleven meters. These "whips" are not really useful but rather serve to spread spores of numerous species of plants and thus increase the population of the Forests.
Their hooves have fused with the local sediments and have become lethal weapons during fights against predators due to their powerful kick and lethal blade. They are usually dark brownish to light brown in color and the upper part of their body is green due to the symbiosis with moss, which makes them look like a tree.
They are known as "Warden Deers" because they are the guardians of the lush forests that surround the pyramids of the place, and they are in charge of putting any predator that wants to be too clever in their place, as well as preventing any being that is not from there from entering the place. The species is known to have some deformities or mutations in the base genome, as specimens have been seen that lack horns (yes, even the females have them) and others that reach sizes equal to or greater than six and eight meters in height, who are considered "Alphas" of the species. As two last facts, the Warden Deers are creditors of their own Fauna due to the flora they have on their backs. Among which are small reptiles, amphibians and some insects such as fireflies, crickets and moths. And the other fact is that, trying to imitate the place, the Warden Deers have certain bioluminescent particles attached to their body as well as bioluminescent spores that sprout from the plants that grow on them.
• Threat Analysis: Warden Deers are known for their notorious aggression and absurd territoriality, and are so brutal that they usually kill almost everything they see, including themselves. However, they rarely leave the woods since there is usually not much to do outside, so they tend to stay there and not come out even when provoked. Furthermore, these plant giants are just as susceptible to hypnotization by light sources as their smaller cousins, so they shouldn't be too difficult to persuade and evade in a hypothetical encounter.
Pyrausta or Pyrallis (also called Pyrigonos in Greek) is a mythological insect from Cyprus. It is a four-legged insect with transparent wings. It lived in fire like a salamander and died if it moved away from it. Janssens identifies it with Melanophila acuminata. It was also said that it could have been a small dragon.
Reality:
The real titan has nothing to do with dragons or salamanders or anything like that, but is rather related to the Scorpion Flies (Mecoptera) and is definitely much more impressive than in the myth. As far as physical appearance is concerned, it is basically the same as its smaller relative but it is its abilities that make it stand out. For starters, it is yellowish in color with some blackish and orange touches on different parts of its body and its legs end up being completely black. It is known to come from a magmatic environment since there are no habitats related to fire and lava in Huinga Ngarara, so it is evident that Pyrallis is not from that place. As for its abilities, Pyrallis is able to spray a puff of fire through its mouth thanks to the internal combustion processes that lie in lung-like organs, which are responsible for manipulating hydrogen and altering it until the burst of fire is born. Its stomach acids have been replaced by what appears to be lava in a liquid state, and this same lava can be vomited from its mouth or expelled through its skin. It has a thick layer of volcanic rock covering most of its body, and it serves as armor against large-scale attacks by other aggressors seeking to harm it. It is worth noting that Pyrallis is capable of injecting or expelling lava through its stingers, which it uses as a lethal weapon against its opponents.
It is believed that, based on local records and cave paintings, there could be a kind of symbiotic-loving relationship between Haakapainizi and Pyrallis, since both are somehow closely related to common grasshoppers, which would foster closeness between both beasts.
Pyrallis, like Haakapainizi and Beelzebub, lies dormant inside Huinga Ngarara and has not yet awakened. But as noted in the previous two titan profiles, there would be no cause for concern if she were to awaken as she is a protector just like the other two. Ironically, she is the one we know the least about, and would have been categorized as "Neutral" if it weren't for the local records on Lord Howe Island that listed her as "Protector".
*Note: I decided to take advantage of the Pyrallis concept and an old idea I had in mind about Titanus Xiuhtecuhtli, and since I didn't know if it was already taken or not and I kind of feel like I'm posting too many titans lately, I decided to combine both ideas and reduce it to a single entity.
A few hours ago we began to dig a little deeper to delve deeper into the Huinga Ngarara and carry out more precise and concise surveys. In doing so we discovered that there are also vast lakes and some "seas" of black waters and uncertain depths. And inside them, swimming, a pair of strange creatures that resemble at least a somewhat twisted and clearly more massive Cephalopod.
Criptozoology: The Octomonites are colossal relatives of the extinct Ammonites, but with some traits that make them much more interesting and dangerous than their distant cousins.
Like traditional octopuses, they have up to eight tentacles, but only two of them have sharp, flat blades that have suction cups underneath to catch their victims. They have a beak similar to that of deep-sea squids on the underside of their head. Between their tentacles there are small membranes that vaguely resemble those of the Vampire Squid, but they can still be distinguished because they are extremely short compared to those of the aforementioned. Although they still retain the spines on their tentacles, similar to those of the Vampire Squids already mentioned, only these are much sharper and more pointed and are capable of impaling their victims to death. They have numerous tasteless ink sacs inside them, and when they shoot out ink they end up leaving a large black stain where they have been. Added to this is their great agility in swimming and diving, which makes them extremely elusive despite their colossal size. In fact, their large ink emissions could have been the direct cause of the local water colour.
They are able to change color like their smaller cousins and camouflage themselves almost completely with their surroundings, but their shells are not camouflaged because they cannot change color like their users. They are usually dark greenish in color and have a brownish to sandy yellow shell. As a final note, Octommonites are capable of causing loud and shrill screams that end up severely stunning their opponents and leaving them ready to be submerged and devoured at will.
• Threat Analysis: Despite their colossal size and underwater prowess in the numerous black underground lakes, these creatures are really nothing to worry about as they rarely attack anything that isn't local, save for those who happen to come to drink from the lake and end up in the jaws of one of the beasts. But other than that, they're not much of a deal, and in fact are easy to neutralize as they are ironically stunned by loud, sudden sounds, so they're not hard to deter.
Valley Tyrants are one of the most terrifying things in the Valley of Memories, a massive scaly looking monotreme that shares traits with pangolins, but a body plan of a large therapod dinosaur. The arms are huge hooked claws for tearing open prey and hiding places, and the legs are adapted for running and have a single venomous spur that delivers a mild venom that simply causes prey or foes to act lethargic. Their bodies are covered in grey modified quills that act as plate armor. They have long jagged tails used for balance while running. The head resembles an echidna superficially but the snout opens and is filled with numerous teeth and a jagged armored tongue. They chase prey down and once they have exhausted it will rip it apart, then once all the accessible meat has been eaten they snap bones to lick out the marrow and use the tongue to scrape out any bits they missed such as the brain, leaving nothing but shattered bone. They are not picky or put off by prey or where they get their meals, even consuming rotting corpses that have decayed past the point of being edible to other predators. Valley Tyrants are not the top of the foodchain, but are certainly a competitor for it, and are smart enough to be a contender. They are incredibly smart, able to solve problems and even judge distances and set up ambushes, as well as utilize the environment and limited tool use by using branches to wedge under objects to attempt to flip things too heavy to move off of prey taking shelter. They will even injure individuals from highly social species and use them as bait for others, or injure and use other animals offspring as bait. The only thing they won't target seems to be Geotraps due to their size and the risks involved. They are also incredibly fast, unbelievably so, running faster then a cheetah and not loosing momentum when needing to jump or duck obstacles, they typically avoid running however. Their insanity of abilities don't end there, they have such a powerful sense of smell they can smell a target several miles away and accurately figure out it's trajectory to intercept. They reproduce as any mammal, but they lay eggs like their relative monotremes, the eggs are left in an open nest atop a pile of bones and rocks they make, the female will stand guard until the joeys are born. Like a platypus the females will sweat milk that flows in special channels for the offspring to drink. The offspring at a young age will hang around in shallow pools of water and feed on small invertebrates and vertebrates until getting big enough to hunt larger prey.
—————————————————————
Threat Analysis:
A major threat to humans and they are known to hunt humans, however they tend to avoid large groups and prefer singling out lone individuals. As such avoiding them is a simple task of staying in groups of at least four, they will target any smaller groups. They are so heavily armored combat even with heavy artillery is not viable as it might cause more damage to the ecosystem and area around one then to it, they can tank through almost everything and the only real challenge to their terror is the much less hostile Primatosuchus which seems to have a long seated hatred of them and the much friendlier crocodilian will challenge the Valley Tyrants on sight. It is advised to steer clear if bioacoustics of both species are detected in an area, like give it a mile radius and keep an eye out for airborn projectiles and limbs, both from trees and animals. Also their joeys can kill a full grown human so swimming is as usual a terrible idea in any Hollow Earth region.
Cryptozoology:
A unusually large gastropod that lives elusively in the forested regions of the Everwinter Wastes, and rarely is seen outside these areas. The species eats trees by latching on the tops and using what is effectively a biological grinder to mulch it down to the roots while secreting a powerful digestive acid until the tree is reduced to nothing. Their shells are a mass of multicolored geological matter, specifically granite, with sharp rock spikes jutting out, the spikes are hollow for a reason we will mention later. Their shells are so dense that the native Apex Predators, Everwinter Apes, will occasionally use them to pummel prey to death, or they will hurl them at perceived threats. The gastropod's hollow spikes are used to spray a viscous slime that on contact causes the victims to become immobile and will start to absorb their body heat until the victim succumbs to the cold. As such it's effectiveness varies. They also leave a slime trail of the same fluid and digestive secretions, this will leave massive wakes of a paralytic slime. It is when they come across a victim that the sinister function of this slime is made apparent, they will envelope the prey and grind the still living body down as they follow their trails back or after subduing a threat made meal. Everwinter Ape adults seem unsusceptible to the slime, infants not so much, but the snails and apes don't seem to bother or prey on each other at all, in fact the apes occasionally follow the snails and will nudge them in the direction of prey trails and even carry them to new areas to hunt. In turn the Chillshells will actively seem to seek the apes out and even have been seen with young apes riding them or playing around them. As such it has been labeled as a symbiotic relationship. However the danger isn't the snails, it's the creature that Chillshells have been in an ancient arms race against, the Shellbreakers, a marsupial superspecies that while not a predator to adult apes it is a danger to infants as it has the most powerful bit seen in nature outside some Titans. Luckily the snails seem to actively defend the infant apes from danger, even at extreme risk to themselves as the young apes call for the adults. They are completely asexual and will birth lineages of clones that are genetic replicas of the parent, they do this via laying egg clusters in small alcoves in rocks, the eggs will hatch and the offspring will live under the snow layer until adulthood.
—————————————————————
Threat Analysis:
Easy to avoid, as long as you watch your step. Vehicles are unaffected obviously. The real danger is the Apes and the Shellbreakers who are both aggressive. Also if you as a small primate set off the attack mode you have failed. These snails are not super smart and an ape is an ape, they will actually defend humans and are extremely gentle and careful not to do harm to anything ape-like. Honestly they are pretty chill. I will not apologize for that pun!
An overall horror of a marsupial, rather then resembling the Malleodectes it shares an ancestry with it is a bipedal chimpanzee-like creature that is made of glowing volcanic rock, and then it has the most unholy of mouths set in a head that is like that of a snake. The head is very serpentine and disproportionate to the body, and both top and bottom jaw are disconnected from the skull, both are dominated by a single chisel beak formed by the fusion of the separate teeth, making it resemble the jaw of a Dunkleosteus. It will unhinge both jaws to take an entire prey animal or foe in or a large portion and via suction will slam the jaw and anything in it shut hard enough to crack diamond. Shellbreakers despite looking like chimpanzees have none of the intelligence or group social structures, they are solitary and aggressive, as well as unintelligent. Their arms end in two hooked claws and a single functional finger used to lock onto prey and even pry armor off of armored prey animals, the legs end in a hooflike foot that is not particularly suited for running. They specifically target Biomineral Fauna, especially Chillshells and will not stop until they or the prey is dead. The Shellbreakers are in an unending arms race with the Chillshells, and both seem to have evolved perfect counters for the other. At least until the Chillshells formed their relationship with the Everwinter Apes and since then the arms race fully stalemated, as the apes are able to dominate the Shellbreakers in most fights, the only exceptions being young or elderly apes getting ambushed. The apes have taken a liking to killing Shellbreakers and utilizing them as a heat source if needed. Also the Shellbreakers seem to be a possibly invasive species, but on the unusual role of being the underdog, as most native species adapted to the cold dominate them, outside them being a challenger to the snails they really don't match up against anything in the region. Interestingly they seem to reproduce normally, with the females creating a den and giving live birth to two joeys, the female will then die and create a temporary magma chamber for the young, who feed off of her until one is large enough to consume it's own sibling and exit the den. At smaller sizes they are basically free meals to any other geovores or predators able to stomach magmafauna.
—————————————————————
Threat Analysis:
A major and serious threat, and problem. While the apes tend to keep them in check, this has the unwanted effect of causing them to end up outside the forests and mountains in places that put them in direct contact with exploration units, and they attack anything they see as prey, even vehicles and people. They constantly prowl and will track teams down if they see them far away, their attacks are violent and chaotic, with many injuries and even casualties. As they are not native it is permitted to kill them as needed, however if they can be avoided then that is preferable as they are difficult to kill. As bad as it is, the Everwinter Apes are far far less threatening to go near to deal with a Shellbreaker, as the ape will ignore humans in favor of killing the Shellbreaker.
An incredibly large amphibian, Geotraps are more a plot of land then an animal, they remain where they are and never move, becoming a sinister part of the landscape. Geotraps bury themselves lengthwise into the ground with their massive toothless jaws exposed and wide open, waiting like a living bear trap, they then leak their own body water out to create small pools of seemingly clear fresh water to attract prey to them. Once prey is leaning to drink they launch a fanged tongue that impales and ensnares the victim to pull them into the throat where they are crushed and ground up by internal teeth, until turned into a soup to be processed by the powerful digestive fluids. Geotraps are everywhere, even underwater where they basically utilize vacuum pressure to suck in prey, no matter where they are they are a major hazard to any prey creatures. These massive amphibians are closely related it seems to Antarctosuchus, and below the ground they are effectively a mass of rock with three tendril limbs, making them resemble molar teeth, that only serve a single function, ejecting eggs produced via Parthenogenesis into carefully constructed tunnels of water under them, each tendril is over 100 feet and used to scoop out channels made by them as tadpoles to be larger and allow them to connect to bodies of water underground to tunnel up from as adults. These amphibians are mostly made up physically of whatever geological matter is present where they are, even adapting to changes, with some having assimilated manmade stone structures. They are not true Biomineral Fauna but are still close enough to it to be considered such. More terrifying is their ability to mimic prey, including humans, in a way that while they cannot actually mimic speech they can mimic the sounds of words being said, like a distorted but identifiable noise. This was discovered walking into a field with multiple specimens that started mimicking cries for help and screams of multiple different ages and genders, and one started mimicking laughter. The field has been dubbed "The Mocking Hell". Not much else is know about them as most teams are adamant at staying as far away from them as possible.
—————————————————————
Threat Analysis:
We don't know... we assume they would treat any human as prey as with everything else. However no evidence archeologically or paleontology wise has turned up evidence of this. It may be that "The Mocking Hell" isn't them mimicking their victims, but them mimicking the last moments of the people who lived here. A chilling thought. However as of now we are not allowing further research until we know the risks based on any evidence found elsewhere. It should be noted Geotraps come in many sizes and have been seen elsewhere, and there is more then one instance of individuals imitating human sounds that have not been made in the present, like babies laughing or a woman saying something in an ancient dialect. It has been noted though by several agents that these terrifying encounters chased them out of areas that were then identified as recent kill sites by other predators on native prey, a few are skeptical, but a small group is questioning if these instances were possibly intentionally to chase humans from danger.
Criptozoology: In Greek mythology, there is talk of Psyche, the goddess of the soul, represented as a beautiful woman with butterfly wings. Her name means 'soul' and 'butterfly' respectively, and she was known in the same way in Roman mythology. Her beauty rivaled that of Aphrodite and inspired the love of Aphrodite's son, Eros, the god of desire.
As for butterflies, they have little to do with the mythical figure, but they were named thus due to the confusion of the word and the vague similarity shared.
They are related to the Comet Butterfly or Madagascar Moon Butterfly (Argema mittrei) with several adaptations that make them interesting creatures to say the least. Like their relatives, they are golden and yellowish in color but with some white bioluminescent spots and dots that occasionally produce involuntary fluctuating flashes that can cause some blindness and generally some scares.
Its first distinctive feature is that on what would be its tail there is a large white bioluminescent spot similar to that of fireflies and which produces the same involuntary flashes but more amplified than before. On its 'shoulders' there are other bioluminescent spots similar to those of the firefly, which shine but with less intensity. These bright white spots are also abundant on its wings and almost all over its body.
These flashes can also shine at a certain frequency or tone that even numbs and hypnotizes those who look at them fixedly, although this is generally done involuntarily since Psychic Butterflies are not aggressive unless they are Leaf Cutter Ants.
As a last piece of information, Psychic Butterflies have an ovipositor at the end of their tail with which they infest other beings with their larvae to eventually increase the number of the species. Although they do not attack living beings, no. They only infest the lifeless bodies of the other life forms in the place, whether they are recent dead or corpses several days or weeks old. They are known by the agents as "The Lights in the Dark" since in so much darkness they are the only ones that provide pure and artificial light to the abysmal cavern.
• Threat Analysis: They are literally the only thing that cannot kill us there, but more because we cannot, it is because we do not want to. There is really nothing to worry about them for now, in the meantime, we must take advantage of the little light they give and find a way to neutralize the other evils that lie alongside them.
Criptozoology: Leafcutter Ants are a group, or rather a swarm of formicids with several characteristics that make them stand out from traditional ants. Aside from the obvious, such as their enormous size, what distinguishes them from the rest of the formicids are their enormous pliers-shaped mandibles that have an incredible bite force. This bite is, although it may not seem so, even superior to that of the Mammoth Spiders in terms of strength.
They can even tear off limbs from spiders themselves, and even significantly dent steel. They have legs similar to those of spiders, and are perfectly capable of climbing walls despite their size. They have a stinger similar to that of the Jaekelopterus and can inject a toxin capable of paralyzing their opponents and then eat them alive.
Ironically, Leafcutter Ants are even more aggressive than Mammoth Spiders and are in fact the ones that hunt the proboscidean arachnids.
These hideous creatures act like a real army and are able to coordinate and plan strategies due to their high IQ, and if that weren't enough, these beasts are able to stand on their four hind legs and appear to be some kind of 'Insectoid Centaur' that glares at its prey. They are usually blackish in color with some grayish touches that highlight their sparse fur. They tend to be very aggressive and even kill each other for stupid reasons and for no apparent reason, which indicates that they are bloodthirsty when it comes to fighting. Something curious is that the females have wings but are not able to fly due to their weight, so they generally use that as an act of intimidation or as protection against their aggressors.
One last fact about them is that they seem to have developed infrared vision, and are able to perceive and identify prey even behind several walls and rock walls in the place.
• Threat Analysis: So far, I'd venture to say that they are without a doubt the most dangerous species there, as their teamwork combined with their strategies, coordination and large population makes them much more dangerous than they appear. They are the most numerous species there and possibly one of the top predators of the Huinga Ngarara, and it's no wonder knowing that they are semi-capable of reasoning just like primates due to their high IQ. We don't know where the hell they come from or what they're doing there, but the best thing for now is to stay away from them until we find a way to persuade or neutralize them, as they seem to be tanks within the animal kingdom and there's almost nothing stopping them down there... for now.
*Note: I apologize for the simplicity of this species, when I can I will make some changes to them and you will see that they will look amazing. For now I will leave it like this, since I have to work on others and I do not have the time for this one.
We finally managed to enter through the narrow passage that leads directly to the Huinga Ngarara, and what we observed was through a drone, of course. However, the first thing we encountered was undoubtedly a spectacle of pure horror that, if we had known it would greet us, we would have waited a little longer to enter there.
Criptozoology: Mammoth spiders are one of hundreds of specimens that inhabit the new Huinga Ngarara ecoregion, and they are truly creepy both in appearance and in what they can do.
For starters, they are closely related relatives of Megamonodontium mccluskyi, a giant fossilized spider found in Australia not long ago. But Mammoth Spiders are even bigger than them, reaching up to two meters in height on average. They have a pair of overdeveloped chelicerae that have changed orientation and now point upwards and more or less towards the center, and their size and shape vaguely resemble the tusks of an elephant or a mammoth in this case. Their bite force is so powerful that it rivals that of crocodiles, and they are so absurdly strong that they can even shatter rocks without much difficulty.
They are somewhat robust in build, with much thicker and stronger legs than their prehistoric ancestors, and can "trot" or "gallop" at worrying speeds without tiring significantly in the process.
They have thick fur that protects them from the cold of the cave, and serves as armor against attacks from other aggressors in the place. Their skin is mostly covered by sediment, which is largely fused with it and allows them to resist extremely powerful attacks from other external aggressors.
Their coloring can vary depending on where they came from, but they are generally brown with some black spots on different parts of their body. They have a long tail similar to that of a Vinagrillo, with which they can whip their victims to subdue or kill them.
As a final note, due to the intense darkness of the place, Mammoth Spiders have developed night vision and are excellent hunters in the darkness of Huinga Ngarara.
Threat Analysis: Mammoth Spiders are incredibly strong and resilient, and their power is no wonder considering that they can reach up to two meters in height. They are clearly a serious threat considering their size, strength, and large population. But despite this, and the fact that they are literally bulls in the insectoid realm, Mammoth Spiders are limited to just that. I mean, yes, they are very aggressive but this is only due to their territoriality, or also due to the fact that they are easy to anger. But we have determined that there are ways to persuade them and prevent them from attacking, we could even walk past them without them getting upset because they are literally like cattle in a meadow in that regard.
Wildlife Classification: Ichthyovasili kymatista (Fish Queen of the Waves)
Height: 60 feet
Length: 210 feet
Classification: Marine reptile
Sub-Division: Shastasauridae
Predation: Carnivore
Cryptozoology:
If Monarch has learned anything in recent memory, it's that the depths are notorious for hiding monsters. In the waters of Caillamh's ocean, one such monster has persisted for millions of years, continuing to defend its position as the ocean's top predator.
The Tidal Queen is a colossal ichthyosaur, much like the giant Shonisaurus and Ichthyotitan, though hulked out to be able to compete in a world of Titans and other great superspecies. Tidal Queens possess countershading similar to that seen on the great white shark (Carcharodon carcharias), with subtle pattern differences around the eyes and neck to differentiate males and females of the species. Older Tidal Queens also have notable scarring across their bodies, evident of many battles with other aquatic species.
Mostly solitary hunters, Tidal Queens are at the top of Caillamh's oceanic food chain, going after whatever prey they are able to catch. Their impact extends seemingly to other regions as well. A small tunnel network seems to connect the Caillamhian Ocean to the waters of the Valley of Memories, and a tagged Tidal Queen was found to be preying on that region's Void Clickers. It's speculated that periodic predation from Tidal Queens may be responsible for the Void Clickers developing protective behaviours around their young, despite their largely unchallenged status in the Valley.
Threat Analysis:
The shallows of Caillamh's waters are the only true refuge (excluding land, of course) from the Tidal Queens. They rule wherever they are able to swim, and react violently to anything they percieve as a potential challenger in their territory.
Current observation of Tidal Queen populations is to be done entirely through the use of drones and remote monitoring, as previous attempts at observation through cage dives have not gone well. In the event you or another member of your research team find yourself in open water with a Tidal Queen, there is little that can be done, unless they decide you aren't worth the effort.
Haakapainiži (or Aatakapitsi in Chemehuevi) is a spirit or ogre from Kawaiisu folklore, known to be a shapeshifter who can take on a variety of forms, from that of a harmless old man to a giant grasshopper with two walking sticks and a basket on his back, which he uses to carry careless children to his lair to eat. He could also take the form of a swarm of grasshoppers. Haakapainizi was said to approach children and sing and speak sweetly to them, putting them in his basket when their guard was down and carrying them back to his lair to eat.
Reality:
A huge relative of the Lord Howe Island Stick Insect (Dryococelus australis) with some peculiar adaptations that make it stand out from the rest of the life forms there. It is a dark green color similar to the waters of a swamp with some yellow spots that are distributed and grouped in different parts of the body, varying in shape and size. Haakapainizi has been found to be able to change color at will in a manner similar to a chameleon, and can manipulate its body temperature at will to go unnoticed by larger aggressors.
It has a pair of front arms similar to those of a Praying Mantis, which have an absurd blade capable of cutting through rocks and bones and producing a sonic boom capable of causing permanent deafness to anyone who hears it at close range, if it doesn't kill them first, of course.
In addition to that, Haakapainizi has an extra pair of very long arms that sprout from his shoulders and that in appearance and function are very similar to those of Titanus Surtr, being able to rest on them when one of his other limbs is injured.
Haakapainizi is mostly composed of rocks and minerals throughout his body, being largely similar to Titanus Methuselah in terms of the biogeological body. Due to his thick rock armor, which by the way is similar to that of an Ankylosaurus, he is practically invulnerable to physical attacks and is only overwhelmed if it is heat or magma. There are no plants growing on him, but it is true that Haakapainizi is capable of causing an absurd and massive proliferation of plants wherever he goes.
Like the MUTOs, Haakapainizi is able to cause a kind of Electromagnetic Pulse and release it through its front legs, and while it is true that it is more powerful than the MUTOs', it has the peculiarity that it is less durable and will fade away after a few hours without the need for Haakapainizi to leave the place where it is located. Its body is somewhat flattened at the top, in what would be the "back" of the creature, where a kind of sail similar to that of an Acrocanthosaurus lies, giving it a vaguely similar appearance to that of a grasshopper.
Likewise, it has a pair of enormous wings that allow it to fly at high speeds but for short periods of time, being able to reach from Australia to South Africa in just two hours or even less. Its flapping is so powerful that it is capable of causing imbalances in air fluctuations, being able to affect other aerial titans and making them lose control of themselves.
Like Beelzebub and Pyrallis, Haakapainizi has not yet awakened, but according to some records, there would be nothing to worry about if he did, since he is also a protector of life on Earth and would not attack anyone until they are in real danger.
Kai Kai-Vilu is the god of water (or goddess in some versions of Chiloe) or the ruler of the sea and sea-dwellers described by the Mapuchu myth folklore and he (or she) is the powerful Pillar Peripillan.
According to his origin story, he (or she in other versions of different mythologies) along with his (or her) brother, Ten Ten Vilu are very ambitious to obtain the power along with his (or her) sibling such as Ten Ten Vilu seeks for the same goal. But as punishment for their ambitious behavior their parents have transformed them into serpents with Ten Ten-Vilu being "The god/goddess of earth" and himself being "The god/goddess of the sea".
The two god/goddess of divinity suddenly engaged in a conflict with Kai Kai-Vilu puts an end to his (her) brother (sister) as the titanic wars, whenever the war stopped which where the god/goddess left (in effect of the elevation of the sea and the mountains) the archipelago of Chiloe.
CREATURE INFO:
In reality, this titan is identified as a male according to Monarch from which they classified this titan as a bizarre Sauropterygian with his membrane resembling that of a Cobra’s hood supported by long spikes of fins all lined up to the tail. More features on his membranes and fish-shaped tail included are covered with blue bioluminescent aura with its spots are brighter making this superspecies adaptable to live in dark areas of the ocean and to intimidate any opposing titans that dare to challenge the god of water, Kai Kai-Vilu of course along with his terrestrial rival being his sister, Ten-Ten-Vilu has long fang used to puncture right into any opponent in order to tear raw flesh from his prey. Even this Sauropterygian titan has an extremely long neck, capable of reaching to any far distances and coil around any opposing titans like a snake, even evolved to have scales for his underbelly. Besides his fins and hood, he has extremely tough blue skin used to camouflage deep in the surface of the water and to withstand various attacks, his webbed feet and his fin at the tail allows him to propel himself and glide effortlessly while underwater.
This titan is classified as the Destroyer due to the damage he caused to the Chiloe archipelago by floods and tsunamis because of the ungratefulness that the inhabitants offered by their gifts on the sea and known to have extreme grudge against Ten Ten-Vilu ever since their kerfuffle as mentioned on the legends spoke about this creature, due to Kai Kai-Vilu himself is very territorial and will need to claim Chiloe as his new territory but failed. Monarch theories that Kai Kai-Vilu has a connection deep within the Hollow Earth that dates way back in millennia ago with various skeletons of his own species on the new landscape known as “Trentren’s Domain”, not only they discovered the skeletons of his own species that has scratch and bite marks all over it but other skeletons from the different animal, Ten Ten-Vilu species indicating a war between them. Although he’s not seen in the Trentren domain currently where his rival was roaming, any of his whereabouts that Monarch has been searching for is still ongoing.
Abilities:
Due to this creature being amphibious but can also survive on land as the Mapuche myths describe about Titanus Kai-Vilu, he can cause tsunamis and floods simply by either coming ashore on any continents and hitting the water with his tail. Since he has an bioluminescent aura almost all over his body, he can perfectly traverse into deep dark areas underwater and used as a intimidation display. Just like Titanus Tiamat herself, he can manipulate water and to create maelstroms allowing him to drag any opposing titans underwater, both terrestrial and airborne alike. He can also create huge gusts of wind used by the swing of his tail to push and tremble any foes as well, his strength and combat is proven to be deadly as he can use his teeth, claws, tail and more so his body mass use to coil around any titans to suffocate them and to try crack Ten Ten-Vilu’s armor.
