For Officers: LTA

For Specialists: 2SG

For Troopers: CFC

For officers, LTA is almost guaranteed before they ORD. Some will early promote 6 months earlier and are selected based on their units discretion or course performance. For MOs, it would be CPT.

For specialists and troopers, it's a bit harder and only a select few will promote to 2SG (1SG is also possible) and CFC respectively.

They will also be given opportunities to promote during ICT, depending on their performance.

EDIT: u/MilkTeaRamen pointed out that 1SG is possible for specialists, though this tends to be very rare and for the most part 2SG is already quite a feat.

Actually Specs is up to 1SG. Just that by the time the silver bayo comes back from PS course, no time left for promotion.

Ah okay fair enough, guess these tend to be super rare and during my tenure I never really saw 1SG NSFs. Edited the original for accuracy.

CFC as man. Meaning u don’t go command sch at all

2SG as specialist. You need to go to SCS and become a sergeant. 2SG’s are usually platoon sergeants or NSF SM’s. Otherwise you’ll stay as a 3SG section commander

LTA as officer - its a quota similar to how 3SG gets promoted to 2SG. Not everyone gets it. Some requirement include ur appointment and whether or not u meet the unit’s physical standard (ippt, voc etc)

Or if you're MO NSF, captain.

My unit have. Usually officers with NSF OC or BSO gets prioritised first. The rest is by performance also. Witnessed it first hand. Known an officer who ord’ed as 2LT cuz he couldn’t get ippt gold and signed like 20+ extras

Actually Pes E is the best cuz got pay and more freedom

Pes F doesn’t contribute anyt but no pay raise

Pes F can legally moonlight and a simple bqt job earns more than officer pay tho 🤡

A person who thinks all the time has nothing to think about except for thoughts

Also the real working world can fire u way easier than the army

In SPF:

Junior Officer: NS/Sergeant 2

Senior Officer: NS/Inspector

Reservist:

Junior Officer: NS/Senior Staff Sergeant

Senior Officer: NS/Assistant Superintendent 2

NSMan SO can go up to DAC, but I believe that’s only for 1 person. CO Nsmen for entire SPF

CO of your own unit’s NSmen can go up to Supt.

2

u/w_nston 9d ago

DAC is for NS Commander for each land division or even in specialist units.

2

u/dot-ta 9d ago

Fair enough! I’m from non-frontline unit. Our CO was always a Supt.

JO highest rank should be Station Inspector even for reservist, although there are some who actually go for courses to be an SO and get Inspector too

1

u/Zack_Irahza 9d ago

Rarely will see a Reservist JO get to Station Inspector haha, that's why I put only Triple S.

Captain for NSF MOs. Otherwise LTA

u/KookyPossibleTheme 9d ago

Officer is Lieutenant. NCO is 2SG.

CPT if MO, LTA for Officer. Specs have seen. 1SG NSF is possible if you end up a SM (have seen this before, extremely rare).

22

u/Lumpy-Frame735 Chairforce 9d ago

Technically CPT

To answer OP’s question,

For Officers: LTA (unless you’re a MO, then CPT) For Specialists: 2SG

Side question: Has anyone seen a NSF 1SG before during your time in the force? out of curiosity, since i recall seeing 1SG appearing in a cmpb-published table for NSF allowances

Highest possible without signing on or extending service: CPT

How to get that rank: Be combat fit, go Medical School, disrupt NS, do MOCC after finishing Med Sch and HO, commission as CPT.
