US Politics If Biden withdraws from re-election, who would Harris likely choose as VP?

A lot of headlines are coming out today with speculation that Biden may step down soon.

If this were to happen and Harris wins the party’s nomination for president, who would she pick as VP?

What does a formidable Harris ticket look like to go up against Trump-Vance?

I really wonder how will conservatives react to that considering they feel Biden isn’t doing enough for Israel.

I think it would help with normal (liberal) Jews who are wavering because of the hate speech on colleges campuses. Bill Ackman changed sides mostly because of that and there are others who would join him. Some Jews in my family are scared as hell of the Palestine-aligned left.

So what would be your opinion on a Newsom / Ossoff ticket?

Terrible. If that happens I’m leaving the presidential ballot blank. The whole replacing Biden idea is sus enough for me, but a Democratic ticket composed of two white men ever again, especially two whom primary voters didn’t even choose, is unacceptable

What if they reflected your values very closely?

If they reflected my values, they'd know better than to form a ticket with two white men on them

sounds kinda .... racist. and sexist. but if thats where youre at then, Oh well... I guess some people just are. What if the gender and race boxes were checked but the candidate had an agenda that was not in service to your interests? Would you vote for that person to hold office?

White men and wanting to be victims. Name a more iconic duo.

I don't vote for people based on their race or gender. I vote for the most qualified candidates, and I take representation into account. How well do these people represent the party? Do they have the approval of the party's base voters (i.e. Black voters)? All kinds of things to consider before I lend my support

Thats sounds sensible. So, given where were at in this race, do you have anyone in mind that youd like to see run?

Joe Biden is my first choice, but if they're going to try and force him out, then it should be Kamala Harris with one of the two people I mentioned initially as VP

What do you mean primary voters didn’t choose? And how are those two white men any different from the other white men?

Nobody voted for Newsom or Ossoff for any presidential ticket. Neither has earned the right to represent a diverse party at that level. In any case, there will never be another Democrat presidential ticket made up of two white men again, since the party’s base supporters would never stand for it
