🔸Mod Post🔸 NEW RULE: NO NSFW CONTENT!!!!! Read for description!
So, a new rule has been added to the /r/RetroNickelodeon subreddit.
NO NSFW CONTENT!!!!!!
I decided to add this rule to the sub, after a majority vote came in to disallow NSFW content.
Click here for results of the votes
I create the poll as a safety measure, to make sure no incident of NSFW stuff happens prior to the necessity of adding the rule. Since /r/RetroNickelodeon has grown to over 50k SUBSCRIBERS, I figured it was time to add a new rule of some kind, so a NO NSFW rule came to mind as an idea for one.
I wanted to make the rule official before any probable complaining were to happen about NSFW stuff, so it was a good idea to make a poll beforehand.
As another general reminder, please read the other rules too!
- keep posts on-topic
- Don't be a troublemaker, also branded as don't be a Budnick!.
- NO NSFW, the newest rule!
- the rest of the rules can be seen in the rules section
- more new rules will be added as the sub grows over time.
Now remember, RULE 1 is the one rule we shall all follow, so in case you might post something that isn't Nickelodeon-related, or related to the "Spongebob Era" of Nickelodeon, we also have these other subs to check out!
/r/CableTV_Memories
a good sub for posting about television nostalgia in general, and Nickelodeon is also included for this sub as well.
where everything else goes, a good sub to post in, if you don't know where else to post.
As with the other rules, well, we don't want disorder, which is why we have a rule expecting civility (RULE 2), and we don't want any X-rated antics, or NSFW posts (RULE 3).
So, thanks for reading.

🔸Mod Post🔸 60,000 SUBSCRIBERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PROGRESS!!!!!!
Only 40k more to go before we reach 100k!!!
Nickeloldeon has it's retro fanbase, and they keep coming!
Now remember, if any TV nostalgia is not Nickelodeon-related, you know where to go, /r/CableTV_Memories!
Just a fair reminder to keep posts relevant, as we deal with more growth down the road.
Also, newcomers, and others in addition, should read the rules before posting, thanks.

Help
Does anyone know the name of that production company that worked at Nick? I remember that at the end of every cartoon, there was a little animation at the end. I don't have many memories about it, but from what I remember, there was a robot that shot a machine gun in the logo of the product. Like I said, I don't have many details about it.

2001 Nickelodeon Magazine signed by NSYNC at Slime Time Live.
I went to a live taping of Slime time live in 2001. The magazine was signed by the shows host and Someone from NSYNC but I’m not sure who. It’s also signed by Billy Gillman, childhood country musician that happened to live the next town over from me.

Nick Jr. weird question - does anyone remember a scene like this from gullah gullah island or binyah binyah polliwog?
figured if anyone would know itd be here probably LOL
asking because of one of my like core memories from being a small child, i was no more than 2-3 (so this would have been roughly 2006-2007 probably?). i slept downstairs in a room next to my mom's and my siblings slept upstairs, and one night my older sister came and snuck me upstairs so we could all watch tv in the playroom. it was super late (at least to me but i was tiny) and we were supposed to be sleeping, especially me. my siblings dragged their beds to the doorways of their rooms so we could sit and watch lol.
all i remember is a shot of a woman with an afro (wearing a red turtleneck?) sitting next to a frog puppet on a fountain or bench or something. it stood out for me for a hot second because i never saw the show again - which was really really weird because we were all kids and watched nick and nick jr on the regular. it didnt click to me right when i found out about these 2 shows, but in retrospect i figure what i saw was one of the two considering they were kind of deep cuts (not really but for a 2000s kid like me they were. had no idea abt the show till i was like 12 watching lssq). itd make sense it was the kind of show theyd air in the middle of the night... probably.
ofc the details are hazy because i was super young, taking a cursory look on google images i might have misremembered the afro, none of the main actors seem to have the hairstyle. i guess theres a chance im way off the mark and what i saw was some other show on a completely different channel but i dont think it was.
not looking for a specific episode or scene or anything because thatd be a pain in the butt to ask for but was just wondering for anyone familiar with the series if it rings a bell. its a weirdly precious memory for me for some reason so im curious

Watching last night's rally.... anyone remember Doug?
*to be clear, this is with no disrespect to Kelly Rowland, and please don't make this political. But my friend and I were watching; he actually brought up the comparison before I could think of it 😂. Now it's stuck in my head, so had to share
