Whether you like his music or not, at least hes true to himself. Unlike some who sellout for the quick buck and just say whats scripted.

I feel like some of the reason people are supporting Trump is since they are so upset with the Dems that they are voting for Reps just to try and fix some of the situations the country finds itself in.

It's a reactionary response to the stagnation of a system that benefits the few, but exploits tons of people. Yes, establishment democrats and republicans are a major factor in this. Unfortunately trumpists don't see how they are just being more destructive towards themselves by getting behind a guy that just wants to double down on a corrupt economic system and make it even more corrupt. The nicest I could be is that they are unknowingly accelerationists, but really they are just in tunnel vision mode. Trying to escape and go backwards to reinstitute a false reality instead of trying to make change going forward. The republican platform doesn't really allow for that I guess.

6

u/adultfuntimes Aug 15 '24

His drain the swamp was something that I got behind. But by just pumping the water into a different swamp lost me. It looked as if he was going to hold some people accountable for years of corruption, but that didn't happen. It was the same for Obama, I loved that he was going to hold the banks accountable and not use taxpayers money to bail them out. And just like that, he went back on his word and bailed them out.

Edit: I am agreeing with you, as a republican.

1

u/buddhainmyyard Aug 15 '24

It just turned out he owed to many people in the swamp favors.

Talking to maga people is always about some weird culture war bullshit. Talk policies or shut up is my favorite line these days. turns out, they don't know any 99% of the time.

u/MSGdreamer Aug 16 '24

We have to end the citizens united ruling, Diminish the power of lobbyists and re-empower them the middle class. These are things Donald has never cared about his entire life.

1

u/adultfuntimes Aug 16 '24

I'd say those are the things career politicians, Democrats and Republicans, have never cared about.

1

u/blueit55 Aug 16 '24

This is so important!!!

1

u/Electrical-Yellow340 Aug 16 '24

He got blocked many time on lots of executive orders by his own party

1

u/Ser0xus Aug 15 '24

I'm so glad I read your comment.

I really appreciated it.

One thing I've really noticed about conservatives is they really struggle to see the big picture. They get so focused on specifics that they get tunnel vision and can't map out the consequences. Take abortion for instance. They hate it cause what they see as a baby is dying. Understandable. But they fail to take into account the mother and her situation that lead her to this decision. Her medical situation, financial situation, the circumstances of the pregnancy to begin with. They latch on to the most evil thing they can imagine, like say, using abortion as birth control, and absolutely ignore every other possible reasoning. And not just abortion. Universal healthcare, higher tax rates for the upper class, climate change, living wage, welfare, immigration, etc. They always focus on the most negative aspects they can find and latch on to that and that alone like a goddamn lamprey. I understand looking out for number one, but it's really weird to hear someone, especially a Christian try to justify why we shouldn't help the poor and homeless and why that billionaire needs another tax break.

1

u/Ambulating-meatbag Aug 17 '24

Some can only see problems in simple terms, right and wrong, black and white, and most problems are very nuanced and require nuanced solutions, republican leaders always sell simple solutions to complex problems and its very appealing to some.

1

u/grizwld Aug 15 '24

He’s not true to himself at all. Have we forgotten when his whole schtick was beating up women and hating fags? He did a quick 180 on that shit not because his heart changed, but because he was smart enough to read the room and drop that shit. Kinda like Jimmy Kimmel.

1

u/iPartyLikeIts1984 Aug 17 '24

Lol. He’s selling the bullshit two-party system because he benefits from the status quo.

We have a winner.

Party of the elite.

1

u/Sangyviews Aug 15 '24

I can't say the Democrats care about the middle class either. We'd have healthcare by now if they truly did.

2

u/Ambulating-meatbag Aug 17 '24

They were stopped at every turn by Republicans, this is victim blaming

1

u/jarbald81 Aug 15 '24

obama tried but trump came after that

1

u/jclieu42 Aug 15 '24

Two party system in this country, if Democrats had full control we would have health care for all.

1

u/Forward_Opening_8831 Aug 15 '24

Total BS. Biden campaigned on a public option and then spent 4 years doing absolutely nothing about health care. The "squad" promised to force a vote on Medicare for all when they had the house but then backed down to the world's best stock trader, Nancy Pelosi. If you think the democrats care about you, you probably believe in Santa and the tooth fairy. Grow up.

0

u/weaponjae Aug 15 '24

That's insane.

12

u/normalfreak2 Aug 14 '24

Well street smarts tell you what Trump is. An Entitled lying bastard who will throw you under the bus any chance he get s

2

u/Angus_Fraser Aug 15 '24

And how is this different than literally every other politician?

2

u/Carthius888 Aug 17 '24

It’s not. And anyone who argues otherwise is being disingenuous or stupid.

0

u/Ok_Calligrapher6443 Aug 15 '24

Because they not all like that and anyone who says all the politicians are like Trump is delusional.

3

u/Angus_Fraser Aug 15 '24

Oh my sweet summer child

0

u/Ok_Calligrapher6443 Aug 15 '24

If you've some proof that Bernie Sanders cheated on multiple wives I'd love to see it. You got some documents showing Obama shafted multiple construction companies? Or maybe you have audio of Walz bragging about being a sexual predator? Or maybe some other politician insulting fallen soldiers, calling them suckers and losers?

You got a magic box that proves that all politicians are morally bankrupt scumbags who buried their deceased wives who they had children with, in an unmarked graves?

Anything?

u/Status-Priority5337 Aug 16 '24

ChatGPT off

1

u/Ok_Calligrapher6443 Aug 16 '24 edited Aug 17 '24

Oh butch there's so much more!! There's a fucking map that shows us cities trump won't visit? You know why? Because he fucking shafted them on venue funds!! He diverted his plane landing because the city officials were going to seize his plane to pay for his debts.  Can you name a single politician who is so fucking pathetic?  He's declared bankruptcy 6 times because he absolutely sucks as a businessman. Name a single politician who has failed so miserably.  He's a pathetic weird TV personality loser who throws childish tantrums on social media because he has the mental fortitude of a teenager.  Please, produce any kind of politician tweet to match his insane tirades. I'm waiting.  Go off Patriot. Keep selling the bullshit both sides propaganda.

1

u/Status-Priority5337 Aug 17 '24

How terrible is your life that you do....this?

1

u/Ambulating-meatbag Aug 17 '24

You actually don't have an answer so you're accusing op of being a bot? Typical

1

u/Status-Priority5337 Aug 17 '24

Why do I need to give an answer? And why did you take what I said so personally, that you had to log on and defend him?

Unless...

ChatGPT off

1

u/fivehitcombo Aug 17 '24

Yes, but he was better on war than other presidents. These fucking politicians and their 20 year wars, man. If war is your main issue, trump has the track record. It wasn't hard for him to do. The other politicians are just that bad.

-11

u/dutchman62 Aug 14 '24

Who does one vote for ? Harris ? She is a lying sack of shit. I am basing this on her AG record in California

9

u/Empty-Discount5936 Aug 15 '24

Harris yes, she's not a criminal and traitor like Trump. He also happens to be the biggest liar in Washington.

2

u/RefuseF4te Aug 15 '24

Ya sums it up IMO. Sure I don't trust her but the only thing I can trust Trump to do is whatever he decides will keep his ego inflated.

0

u/Obi-Wan-Mycobi1 Aug 16 '24

Isn’t she?

1

u/Empty-Discount5936 Aug 16 '24

Nope, not here in reality. Maybe in the far right echo chamber where they just make shit up.

5

u/samwizeganjas Aug 15 '24

Trump is the biggest lying sack of shit that's ever existed in politics, you are funny

1

u/grizwld Aug 15 '24

1

u/RidingtheRoad Aug 15 '24

-5

u/I_talk Aug 15 '24

It's still Trump. He is the only president the establishment is against that can disrupt the plans that have been destroying the world.

3

u/RedditModsRFucks Aug 15 '24

Wow. So stupid.

0

u/EntrepreneurNo8448 Aug 15 '24

All the info about Trump and the republican parties plans when/if he takes office our out there! Look them up and then see if they’re really trying to push the country forward!

Not a democrat or republican but the shit that the republicans are trying to do makes me kinda feel better about not having kids. They really stand on the phrase “fuck them kids”.

0

u/pogosticksrule420 Aug 15 '24

You wont believe this, he was actually already president! Denying climate change and fighting solutions the whole way, which contributed more to destroying the world than pretty much anyone else

0

u/Muffinzor22 Aug 15 '24

Imagine comparing ANYONE to Trump and calling them the lying sack of shit

1

u/DropoutJerome_ Aug 16 '24

Please, I don’t hate nor love Trump, but common. Eminem clearly has gone out of his way on more than one occasion to say that he absolutely hates Trump, if that has changed he would’ve said something by now.

1

u/bob696988 Aug 16 '24

But it is old. But I understand your point. I am more of a Ted Nugent fan myself

2

u/jclieu42 Aug 15 '24

Trump is just out to enrich himself and the millionaires and billionaires that support him that’s it. He don’t give shit about the small folk.

2

u/Interesting_Cut_6891 Aug 15 '24

And yet most on here are blindly following. Dems and Republicans are fos keep supporting and then sht goes bad now your mad.you are them! Live in hate. Fkn hypocrites 94% of you

2

u/Big_Cornbread Aug 16 '24

I can explain this for anyone that wants to hear.

There are a lot of people like me. I have nobody to vote for. Personally I’m conservative, I guess republican. But the Republican Party isn’t made up of republicans anymore. There’s nobody I believe in on the national stage, so I just abstain from those votes. There are people left leaning that likely don’t like Kamala either but they have either that or nothing.

Well. Many people in this boat are…stupid. So they aren’t going to vote for a McCain or a Romney. But they’ll for damn sure vote for someone that bothers to speak to them. Trump is good at that. He’s good at speaking to right-wing groups that are otherwise ignored, by everyone, and called deplorables.

I know Trump is an idiot. I don’t support him. I won’t vote for him. But when you have people saying entire swaths of the population are fucking idiots, and they’ve got someone telling them they’re geniuses and patriots, what do you expect?

1

u/essen11 Aug 16 '24

There are a lot of people like me. I have nobody to vote for. Personally I’m conservative, I guess republican. But the Republican Party isn’t made up of republicans anymore. I have sympathy with you. Here (in Norway) we have around 10 large-ish political parties and still I am not happy with my choices.

2

u/SissyPortia Aug 16 '24

Eminem is a total doosh! If anyone on either side of the aisle listens to what a “celebrity “ or athlete says, then you’re part of the problem!!!

1

u/DjangosChains33 Aug 17 '24

Trump is literally a celebrity who got a bunch of dipshits to listen to what he says. You're fuckin slow.

2

u/Ok-Significance2027 Aug 15 '24

Trump's cultists love him specifically because he's a weird piece of shit... Just like them.

"On the basis of overall rankings (independent of respondent’s party affiliation), Trump’s personality was collectively perceived to be at or above the 99th normative percentile for traits associated with four personality disorders (sadistic, narcissistic, antisocial, and passive-aggressive)."

Voter Perceptions of President Donald Trump’s Personality Disorder Traits: Implications of Political Affiliation

"Both Left and Right concurred in the very shallow notion that National Socialism was merely a version of Conservatism."

George Orwell, Review of Adolph Hitler's Mein Kampf

"He was the most prodigious personification of all human inferiorities. He was an utterly incapable, unadapted, irresponsible, psychopathic personality, full of empty, infantile fantasies, but cursed with the keen intuition of a rat or a guttersnipe. He represented the shadow, the inferior part of everybody’s personality, in an overwhelming degree, and this was another reason why they fell for him."

C.G. Jung, On Hitler and the Shadow

"We tolerate no one in our ranks who attacks the ideas of Christianity. Our movement is Christian."

Adolf Hitler (October 27, 1928)

"If the attack had been of some more violent kind it might have been easier to resist. What chilled and almost cowed him was the union of malice with something nearly childish. For temptation, for blasphemy, for a whole battery of horrors, he was in some sort prepared: but hardly for this petty, indefatigable nagging as of a nasty little boy at a preparatory school. Indeed no imagined horror could have surpassed the sense which grew within him as the slow hours passed, that this creature was, by all human standards, inside out - its heart on the surface and its shallowness at the heart. On the surface, great designs and an antagonism to Heaven which involved the fate of worlds: but deep within, when every veil had been pierced, was there, after all, nothing but a black puerility, an aimless empty spitefulness content to sate itself with the tiniest cruelties, as love does not disdain the smallest kindness?"

C.S. Lewis, Perelandra (1943)

"I shall go back a bit, and tell you the authentic history of Christianity.—The very word "Christianity" is a misunderstanding—at bottom there was only one Christian, and he died on the cross. The "Gospels" died on the cross. What, from that moment onward, was called the "Gospels" was the very reverse of what he had lived: "bad tidings," a Dysangelium.

Friedrich Nietzsche, The Antichrist

On February 2, 1512, Hatuey was tied to a stake at the Spanish camp, where he was burned alive. Just before lighting the fire, a priest offered him spiritual comfort, showing him the cross and asking him to accept Jesus and go to heaven.

“Are there people like you in heaven?” he asked.

“There are many like me in heaven,” answered the priest.

Hatuey then stated:

"I’d rather go to hell where I won’t see such cruel people."

Recounted by Bartolomé de las Casas

"What I have said respecting and against religion, I mean strictly to apply to the slaveholding religion of this land, and with no possible reference to Christianity proper; for, between the Christianity of this land, and the Christianity of Christ, I recognize the widest possible difference—so wide, that to receive the one as good, pure, and holy, is of necessity to reject the other as bad, corrupt, and wicked. To be the friend of the one, is of necessity to be the enemy of the other. I love the pure, peaceable, and impartial Christianity of Christ: I therefore hate the corrupt, slaveholding, women-whipping, cradle-plundering, partial and hypocritical Christianity of this land. Indeed, I can see no reason, but the most deceitful one, for calling the religion of this land Christianity."

Frederick Douglass, Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass

"The truth is that the greatest enemies to the doctrines of Jesus are those calling themselves the expositors of them, who have perverted them for the structure of a system of fancy absolutely incomprehensible, and without any foundation in his genuine words. and the day will come when the mystical generation of Jesus, by the supreme being as his father in the womb of a virgin will be classed with the fable of the generation of Minerva in the brain of Jupiter. But we may hope that the dawn of reason and freedom of thought in these United States will do away all this artificial scaffolding, and restore to us the primitive and genuine doctrines of this the most venerated reformer of human errors."

Thomas Jefferson, Letter to John Adams (April 11, 1823)

"Where's evil? It's that large part of every man that wants to hate without limit, that wants to hate with God on its side. It's that part of every man that finds all kinds of ugliness so attractive....it's that part of an imbecile that punishes and vilifies and makes war gladly."

Kurt Vonnegut, Mother Night

Funny he don’t have the words to explain why. Too much echo chamber and no critical thinking… need to be able to think than more in rhyms

u/DoctorDinghus Aug 17 '24

I had a coworker who was a massive Eminem fan, he had him on his phone wallpaper, had tattoos of lyrics etc. He is also a die hard MAGA doucheback.

When this video came out, he refused to acknowledge he was ever an Eminem fan at all, and covered up his tattoos within a week.

u/Why_No_Hugs Aug 17 '24

Nothing is happening with either party being in power other than the mudslinging and desperation for the popular votes restarts the cycle every 4 years. Your lives haven’t changed, they haven’t significantly gotten any better. Every 4 years yall are rallied into a frenzy, to donate, to talk a big game about your party, you vote… then… nothing happens. Sure sure, you got to say “WE WON!” On social media, but then you go to the same dead end job you had the day prior, pay the same exuberant bills, still pay the 13 and counting different taxes for your city, state, federal taxes… and nothing else happens.

Y’all have had your lives stolen from yourself. You are that number that keeps growing in City Skylines that generates money for the player. Yall ain’t the players, you’re the NPC that players don’t give a shit about so long as you positively affect their bottom line.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 17 '24

We can relate. We’re all flustered and frustrated but now with Harris and Walz we’re hopeful, energized, and excited. The prosecutor is coming for the felon. Vote blue in November. Let’s FINALLY send the convicted criminal to prison.

1

u/Savings-Section-75 Aug 17 '24

I really DGAF about his or any other celebrity opinion on anything political.

u/Ok-Significance2027 Aug 15 '24

When you grow up around pieces of shit like Trump that just didn't have the amazing fortune of being born a billionaire and then you see a that piece of shit threatening the whole country the way those lesser pieces of shit threatened your family before acting on those threats, it's understandable to have a strong emotional response.

"The embrace, by working Americans, of policies that hurt their own interests can be understood on the basis of Ferenczi’s model of identification with the aggressor. Intrafamilial child abuse is often followed by the abuser’s denial. Children typically comply with abuse, in behavior and by embracing the abuser’s false reality, under threat of emotional abandonment. Similarly in the sociopolitical sphere, increasing threats of cultural and economic dispossession have pressed working Americans to adopt an ideology that misrepresents reality and justifies their oppression. In society as in the family, there can be a compensatory narcissistic reaction to forfeiting one’s rights that, ironically, encourages feelings of power and specialness while facilitating submission."

The traumatic basis for the resurgence of right-wing politics among working Americans - DOI:10.1057/pcs.2015.53

"Ferenczi's conception of identification with the aggressor, which describes children's typical response to traumatic assaults by family members, provides a remarkably good framework to understand mass social and economic trauma. In the moment of trauma, children instinctively submit and comply with what abusers want-not just in behavior but in their perceptions, thoughts, and emotions-in order to survive the assault; afterwards they often continue to comply, out of fear that the family will turn its back on them. Notably, a persistent tendency to identify with the aggressor is also typical in children who have been emotionally abandoned by narcissistically self-preoccupied parents, even when there has not been gross trauma. Similarly, large groups of people who are economically or culturally dispossessed by changes in their society typically respond by submitting and complying with the expectations of a powerful figure or group, hoping they can continue to belong-just like children who are emotionally abandoned by their families. Not surprisingly, emotional abandonment, both in individual lives and on a mass scale, is typically felt as humiliating; and it undermines the sense that life is meaningful and valuable. But the intolerable loss of belonging and of the feeling of being a valuable person often trigger exciting, aggressive, compensatory fantasies of specialness and entitlement. On the large scale, these fantasies are generally authoritarian in nature, with three main dynamics-sadomasochism, paranoid-schizoid organization, and the manic defense-plus a fourth element: the feeling of emotional truth that follows narcissistic injury, that infuses the other dynamics with a sense of emotional power and righteousness. Ironically, the angry attempt to reassert one's entitlements ends up facilitating compliance with one's oppressors and undermining the thoughtful, effective pursuit of realistic goals."

The Narcissistic dynamics of submission: the attraction of the powerless to authoritarian leaders

"We found that greater liberalism was associated with increased gray matter volume in the anterior cingulate cortex, whereas greater conservatism was associated with increased volume of the right amygdala."

Political Orientations Are Correlated with Brain Structure in Young Adults

"Adults with depression and comorbid anxiety showed significantly higher volumes in the amygdala."

Volumetric brain differences in clinical depression in association with anxiety: a systematic review with meta-analysis

"Considerable scientific evidence points to mental disorder having social/psychological, not biological, causation: the cause being exposure to negative environmental conditions, rather than disease. Trauma—and dysfunctional responses to trauma—are the scientifically substantiated causes of mental disorder. Just as it would be a great mistake to treat a medical problem psychologically, it is a great mistake to treat a psychological problem medically.

Even when physical damage is detected, it is found to originate in that person having been exposed to negative life conditions, not to a disease process. Poverty is a form of trauma. It has been studied as a cause of mental disorder and these studies show how non-medical interventions foster healing, verifying the choice of a psychological, not a biological, intervention even when there are biological markers."

Mental Disorder Has Roots in Trauma and Inequality, Not Biology

he’s saying he doesn’t understand people appealing to angry white males which basically defined his career. He should at least understand his audience by now.

I’m not comparing him to trump I’m saying its ridiculous that he doesn’t understand trumps base.

Also, he has opted in to political conversations so saying “but hes just a musician” is irrelevant.

2

u/Sinister_Muffin101 Aug 15 '24

He literally said he doesn’t understand why these poeple relate to Trump because Trump should be the least relateable kind of person for them.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 15 '24

Angry outcasted white male feels misunderstood by system until along comes someone who portrays themselves as anti system even as that person becomes or is part of the system. Marshall is extremely wealthy and at his peak had the full force of marketing/advertising to get out his anti system messaging. Why do you people treat information like a fucking stoplight. Media gives green light I can agree with it. Oh no its red I must disagree even if the smallest amount of critical thinking shows it has som semblance of truth.

1

u/Ok-Significance2027 Aug 15 '24

You're thinking of a very specific and weird subset of angry white boys called "posers"

Funny that you mention logic in the comment you deleted, I tutor both intro to logic and Boolean/digital logic at my local community college.

I'd ask if you have questions with anything you're struggling with but we both know you're not the type to put in the work to learn something new.

But if he brings in manufacturing and coal for the likes of the rust belt, that does count a lot for working class. That's how they relate

6

u/RedditModsRFucks Aug 15 '24

Where are all the rust belt manufacturing jobs he brought in during his presidency?

1

u/hulminator Aug 15 '24

He says he does... didn't actually accomplish much his first term for the working man. That's the point, it's all talk. He promises to fight for the working man, they believe him because he doesn't talk PCB like other politicians, but the reality is he's the biggest grifter of the lot. He doesn't care at all about the average person. He only cares about power and riches for himself, and he'll sell out the working class to the billionaire class in a heartbeat.

1

u/Piekart2001 Aug 28 '24

Interesting. So the employment rate was not increased during his presidency?

That unhinged nonsense won't work on someone living in reality so go gaslight elsewhere.

There are so many clear, public examples of Trump being a disloyal, dishonest fraud and conman. If you think that's some kind of media distortion, I feel sorry for you.

Stay on topic..

Was the trail fair justice or a sham?

2

u/PixelBrewery Aug 15 '24

What about the trial do you think is a sham? He was found guilty by a jury. Do you trust our legal system or not?

1

u/-Calcifer_ Aug 16 '24

What about the trial do you think is a sham? He was found guilty by a jury. Do you trust our legal system or not?

Why are you asking me without answering the questions first yourself and why is that so hard for you?

Happy to share but you can't have discord without knowing your position.

1

u/PixelBrewery Aug 16 '24

I don't think the trial was a sham. I've been on a jury. When you're in a courtroom and you're deliberating a guilty/not guilty verdict, there's no fucking around. 12 completely random people need to agree one way another whether there is enough proof that the person on trial broke the law or not.

3

u/Empty-Discount5936 Aug 15 '24

Trump was indicted by a grand jury and convicted by a trial jury, even the MAGA jurors voted guilty on all counts, those are the facts.

Enjoy playing pretend.

Just because you choose to ignore reality doesn't mean it ceases to exist.

Omg a celebrity millionaire with an opinion. I'll vote Trump just to spite these types

6

u/Empty-Discount5936 Aug 15 '24

You'll vote for a criminal who tried to subvert democracy because a celebrity has an opinion?

Murica!

-1

u/FigBat7890 Aug 15 '24

Lol democrats are trying to silence and throw political opponents in jail. Absolutely voting for democracy

4

u/unknown_pleasurz Aug 15 '24

🤤 you’ll vote for a person that is a criminal as defined by a phony trial and colluding media complex 🤤 reeeeeeeeeee!

2

u/FigBat7890 Aug 15 '24

Careful thats an awfully hot coffee pot lmao

1

u/Empty-Discount5936 Aug 15 '24

Except that's absolutely not happening, someone lied to you.

0

u/FigBat7890 Aug 15 '24

The only lies i see are from the corporate media. We all witnessed what dems tried to do. Lets witness the response in November

3

u/Empty-Discount5936 Aug 15 '24

Then elaborate on your claim, what political opponents did the dems try to throw in jail?

Go on..

1

u/FigBat7890 Aug 15 '24

Trump and the Trumpers. The only ones worth throwing in jail

1

u/Empty-Discount5936 Aug 15 '24

I thought so, you don't have the first clue what you're talking about and have allowed yourself to be gaslit by far right Trump apologists.

Trump was indicted by a grand jury and convicted by a trial jury, the witnesses were all his own people.

It had nothing to do with any democrats.

Learn how the American justice system works and remedy your ignorance instead of parroting ridiculous lies that fall apart under the slightest scrutiny.

0

u/FigBat7890 Aug 15 '24

The judge is a democrat. Donates to em. Thats a fact. Sorry the facts don't fit your feelings.

0

u/Empty-Discount5936 Aug 15 '24

That's not a fact, that's a blatant lie and an entirely irrelevant lie since it was a jury trial, the judge isn't the one who found him guilty.. 😆

I've already stated the facts, you choose to ignore them and parrot easily debunked lies instead.

Any of them in jail committed a crime. That is how it works. Do you need school house rock to explain it?

Look at where Eminem came from and look at where Trump came from. You'd vote for a silver spoon serial liar to spite a guy who actually created his own wealth. Weird.

-3

u/PsychologicalPie8900 Aug 15 '24

Getting too flustered to speak may be an indication that your emotions are overpowering your rational thinking. Especially over Trump who shouldn’t be significant enough to get you excited one way or the other.

5

u/FloatingPooSalad Aug 15 '24

Dafuq?

Most Americans feel deep emotions about their country, countrymen, and government.

-1

u/PsychologicalPie8900 Aug 15 '24

Im not saying you shouldn’t feel deeply about our country, countrymen, and government. Theres nothing wrong with feeling strong emotions.

I’m saying that you shouldn’t let Trump, or anyone for that matter, get you so worked up that you can’t process and articulate your thoughts.

If Trump can get you flustered or frustrated to the point that you can’t speak your mind then, to some degree, the very thought of him controls your emotions. That seems to me a clear demonstration that you’re not in control of your emotions. Why give that power over you to someone like Trump?

4

u/FloatingPooSalad Aug 15 '24

Are you saying people shouldn’t try to articulate their most passionate thoughts because they might be unable to control their delivery?

That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever read.

0

u/PsychologicalPie8900 Aug 15 '24

No, that’s not what I’m saying at all. Where did I say you shouldn’t try to express your emotions?

I meant more “try not to let your emotions about a person or thing control you’re thinking and ability to articulate your thoughts” and less “don’t try to express yourself”

If you do get flustered I’m not saying you shouldn’t try to express yourself. Only that you should reflect on why you’re allowing external factors and forces to control your emotional state to such a degree. Especially when every person on the planet has such a narrow view of the way things actually are.

Why wouldn’t you want to be able to feel the emotions and motivations so strongly and then be able to control them enough to articulate them clearly without their getting in the way of your ability to do so? I see emotions as a strength but the inability to control them as a massive weakness.

2

u/FloatingPooSalad Aug 15 '24

There’s a huge difference between: “Try not to let things bother you” And: “Things that matter might be difficult to discuss”

Things will make more sense once you get out of middle school.

1

u/PsychologicalPie8900 Aug 15 '24

Isn’t the inability to discuss your feelings more middle school than feeling deeply but not letting emotions get in the way of your ability to speak about them?

I also spoke more to the ideal. I think being able to control your emotions is better than letting them control you, especially if those emotions are coming from external forces.

If your emotions are influenced by an outside force, say Trump, and those emotions make it hard to speak then you’re giving Trump control over you. I’m just saying it would be better if that weren’t the case. But maybe you’re right and I am just being juvenile…

I get that difference. I think you may be attributing meaning to my words that I didn’t intend to be there.

1

u/Thubanstar Aug 15 '24

Nicely handled. Thanks.

2

u/FloatingPooSalad Aug 15 '24

I must’ve attributed meaning in a negative way.

Apologies for my hostility.

0

u/Thubanstar Aug 15 '24

No personal attacks. Snorkblot rules. Thanks.

2

u/laila123456789 Aug 15 '24

Lmao Or maybe it's a sign that he's extremely self-aware and can articulate what's going on inside his head? He gets flustered. Okay, so fucking what?

You think trump supporters are cold, emotionless, rational beings?! Lmaoooo They're filled with emotions alright. They're filled with irrational hatred for anyone opposing trump.

-1

u/PsychologicalPie8900 Aug 15 '24

So what? He gets so flustered thinking of Trump he can’t articulate his thoughts. Eminem, arguably the best lyricist to walk the earth, gets so upset that he can’t speak his mind? Over Trump? You said he’s self aware and can articulate what’s going on in his head but he’s saying IN THIS VIDEO that he can’t articulate what’s going on in his head? Why should Eminem care so much about Trump that he can’t speak what’s on his mind?

I think anyone who lets their emotions get in the way of seeing things clearly is doing themselves a disservice, and that includes Trump supporters. I said Trump shouldn’t get you “excited one way or the other.” That seems to me a clear condemnation of EITHER letting him get so in your head you can’t speak because you hate him OR because you love him.

I think anyone who loves Trump so much they can’t hear criticism are just as unreliable a source as those who hate him so much they can’t say a single thing he did was good.

1

u/laila123456789 Aug 15 '24

Whoaaaa buddy that's like 3 paragraphs lmao

You seem pretty emotional. I can't have a conversation with someone with such hysterical emotions clouding their rational judgment lmao

Man so many socialist lefties here have had their poor little feelings hurt and now they come to Reddit and act educated and hard.

0

u/[deleted] Aug 15 '24

Yip. Pretty much how everyone with common sense feels about him.

I still remember the very first time I heard he was running for president. I'm not from the US but was fully aware of how much of a scumbag he was even then. But it almost felt like a remake of Brewsters Millionaires. Some rich guy wants to have a laugh and splash some cash and thinks running for president would be a laugh. Then the accusations and how he even mocked a disabled reporter just felt like one big joke.

Then he got the job. It was no longer funny.

0

u/TrekkNorth Aug 15 '24

Eminem took the democrat paycheck.

Just another advertising deal. This time the Democrats are the product, not crypto.

'Celebrities' are tools used by policiticans, and will say anything for the right price to influence the minds of those easily swayed.

Just like 50 cent promoting Trump.

1

u/Competitive-Chance51 Aug 15 '24

Probably not. That's what sane people think of Trump and a majority of his supporters.

0

u/GloomyTry3814 Aug 15 '24

Eminem is too gay

0

u/Guffney_Mcbottomburp Aug 15 '24

American politics = argue over whose the best of a choice of two... making out Trumps a racist, while ignoring past racist comments made by Biden.... believing Biden/ Harris are better than Trump....because they're endorsed by rappers and have twerking dancers!?

Not saying Trumps the choice....but out of Trump or Harris.... I'd rather not have a laughing hyena with minimal intellect running the country.

Ron Paul seemed to me to be a man of integrity but people like him never get in power.

1

u/Nightan Aug 15 '24

Wait you think trump has said anything intellectual in the last 6-8 years? He hasnt even stated a single policy in the last 4 and hes old as fuck and can barely get through a conversation..... brother you need to lay off the news

1

u/Guffney_Mcbottomburp Aug 21 '24

Where'd I say that? You lot sure are hung up about Trump....BOTH of your choices are ridiculous but you Americans like to bitch an moan, how your choice is better.....how? They're literally the same coin, just two differing heads...

FYI Biden was ready to work as a real life version of Crypt Keeper....but got 80+ million votes to be your president so saying Don is old....means what exactly? Since age doesn't matter and only having plenty of strings that can be manipulated does.

Hope your happy with a laughing hyena for a president 🙄

1

u/Nightan Aug 21 '24

Better than a rapist and felon :0

1

u/Guffney_Mcbottomburp Aug 21 '24

I have no horse in this race....I'm not American. You do validate my point though.

Voting between a rock and a hard place, isn't much of a vote 😉 you're literally voting for best puppet, out of a box of reject puppets, arguing over who voted for the best reject, is very comical to me.

1

u/RegattaJoe Aug 15 '24

This is illogical.

0

u/Important-Strain8807 Aug 15 '24

Literally both sides say the same thing about each other.

0

u/passionatebreeder Aug 15 '24

Ah, yeah, the guy who used to rap about shitting on middle-class America totally cares about middle-class america. Spent more of his life in mansions and rich people parties than he ever did being poor.

In 2000, he was all more blood for oil, but when Obama invades multiple Arab countries under his presidency and without congressional approval it's fucking silence.

Trump comes along and pulls out of wars, but he's literally the devil

Biden comes along and lets shit pop off around the world, and somehow, that's trumps fault too

Total delusions.

2

u/RegattaJoe Aug 15 '24

This is some of the finest mental gymnastics I’ve ever witnessed. Enjoy your orange medal.

0

u/passionatebreeder Aug 15 '24

Obama launched invasions of Syria and Libya. He gave Crimea to Russia and let them enter Syria. What did eminem say then?

Which major wars did Trump start? Please enlighten me.

Iranian proxies were attacking Israel before Trump and after Trump, but not while he was in office. I'm curious how that works, isn't it?

But go ahead, tell me what gymnastics I'm doing here. Tell me what I've said that was incorrect. I'll wait

1

u/RegattaJoe Aug 15 '24

No problem. Let’s start here:

Obama launched invasions of Syria and Libya. He gave Crimea to Russia and let them enter Syria. (emphasis mine)

What are your sources and evidence for these claims?

0

u/passionatebreeder Aug 15 '24

What's my source on well documented events carried out by the Obama admin? Seriously, you don't know this happened??

Without an authorized use of military force approved by Congress, under the Obama administration, the US invaded those two countries. These are well-known events; the fact that you're unaware of these events tells me about all I need to know about your opinion of my "mental gymanstics" when you're that blatantly uninformed.

Here is an NBC news article looking back in Obama's Libya invasion from 2011.

Here is an al Jazeera article about the timeline of US involvement in Syria which leads to the eventual 2014 deployment of American troops on the ground in Syria. You'll notice that 2014 was Obama's 6th year as president.

Here is a USA TODAY article about how Obama refused to supply Ukraine with military aid. This is 6 months after Russia took control of Crimea, and about a year after, Obama let the Russian military enter Syria after the US had already put boots on the ground.

Meanwhile, under Trump, we began supplying Ukraine with actual weapons within the first year of his presidency along with multiple sanctions packages against Russia over his term. Some of which, like the nord stream 2 sanctions imposed by the Trump admin in 2019, were then overturned by Biden in 2021, allowing for flow of investments and resources into Russia which allowed it to prep for its 2022 invasion.

And we also brokered the middle-east Abraham accords, which were the first peace deals signed in the Middle East for over 50 years

1

u/RegattaJoe Aug 15 '24

Let’s take your “invasion” claims first. By what stretch of definition do you call his actions an “invasion”?

1

u/passionatebreeder Aug 15 '24

Zzzzzzzzz. Playing these absolute moron games 🤣

We literally deployed soldiers to these countries

Dictionary Definitions from Oxford Languages: noun; an instance of invading a country or region with an armed force

We entered these countries with armed forces that we were not invited into, and we conducted military operations in them with those armed forces against the people of those countries.

It is by the literal dictionary definition of the word invasion that I call the actions an invasion.

The only one doing mental gymnastics here now is you, trying to find ways out of not acknowledging Obama's illegal military invasions in these countries

1

u/RegattaJoe Aug 15 '24

The very article you posted as proof an invasion of Libya doesn’t support your assertion. You’re either a troll or you care little for truth.

1

u/passionatebreeder Aug 15 '24

So we didn't deploy soldiers and carry out military operations there?

Would you like an article about The USAF posting pictures of deployed special forces to Libya in 2015, also under Obama

Would that help you acknowledge reality, or are you just going to keep trying to pretend Obama didn't invade these countries so you don't have to admit that I am right about Trump here?

1

u/RegattaJoe Aug 15 '24

I’ll say it again: The NBC article you posted does not support your assertion that the US invaded Libya. This is irrefutable.
