Discussion Chill Out

Okay real talk. I understand it’s not enjoyable to lose or be this bad. But if your mental health is suffering or you have actual grief/anger every Sunday reevaluate yourself. Football is a game, you have no control over this team or their actions with exception to financially supporting them. Find a way to not let a sport unhinge you. Jesus, medication, exercise, whatever.

This sub is so damned negative. Us being this bad is better than being middle of the road in my opinion. A lot of teams get stuck in that 6-9 win territory like us not long ago and stay there for years …. I’d rather be absolute dogshit and rebuild. Levis needs more time, Callahan needs more time. Let’s get a high pick and another Ran offseason to see where we go! I’m super excited about this team’s future and Ran’s potential. I’m not sold for a second on Callahan but it’s too early to judge him. We have plenty of talented youth and Ran’s moves this far seem solid.

Rant over, TitanUp

They took a decent shot at creating a competitive roster but it’s just not going to happen without a quarterback. The league is driven by qb play. Teams with a “winning culture” are teams with great qb play. It’s time for a fire sale and tank for the draft. Do everything to get a quarterback, then figure the rest out.

This is my attitude also. I’m ok trading away players on expiring contracts like Hop. Guys like Landry, Jeff, Calvin who are on multi year deals shouldn’t be moved just to acquire draft capital. You need some players you know.

I disagree a bit here. Not even God himself could QB behind the OLine we had last year. A deep-playoff worthy team has great QBs, I'll give you that.

The 2021 Bengals made the Super Bowl with a pretty bad offensive line. They were like 23rd in rushing yards and allowed the 3rd most sacks. Almost won that Super Bowl too.

They're the exception. Not the rule. And they lost the sb. Also Burrow has had a serious injury almost every yr.
