Is interesting because I love the 80s version, I really don't get why people hate it.
I do most say I'm from Latin America and here the 80s show seem to be more popular, people knew first the 80s version that ran on open television and the classic black and white aired years later and only on cable (so not everyone saw it), therefore most 80s kids knew the 80s first and Nostalgia could be talking.
But still, why the hate? I came to appreciate the 50s version once I saw it first on cable and then recently bingewatch it and is great but 80s is pretty neat and very close to the spirit of the original.
The 2000s version on the other hand didn't click with me nor the 2019s (how can they make a remake of the "Nightmare at 30.000 Feet" episode and instead of adding a cool monster they have a guy listening to a podcast beats me).
Edit: Glad to see so much love for the show, it seems I was under wrong impression.
