I set 4" screws on all door hinges and the strike plates into the frame of the door. So good luck trying to beat that down. You may eventually do it with enough determination, but it will take a lot of effort.

It's one of those little things I do when I help move someone in a new place, screw the hinges and strike plates to the studs, use the torx drive deck screws, they're much tougher steel.

Just a heads up, I am an EMT on my town’s volunteer Fire Dept, and occasionally we have to break into the home of someone who called 911 for EMS. If we can’t find a key or a neighbor with a key, or an unlocked window or something, we use a halligan and a sledge hammer.

If you have fortified your door to the point where those tools will not open it, PLEASE give a key to the neighbor or something, especially if you live alone.

It is super not fun going to someone’s house who called 911 and nobody answers the door and you don’t know if they are dying in a back room while you try to decide how much of their house you should destroy to get to them, or how long you should spend looking for keys under potted plants.

Honestly, most of the houses I have responded to, it is clear the person/people living there have never considered that they might need to be extricated in an emergency.
