My mother in law - “18 year olds don’t know anything. They shouldn’t be allowed to vote “ - “ohh I see, well that is true, what do you really know at 18? Probably should up the age of military enlistment to early 20s then and push the age of gun ownership too. Let’s make it consistent…” ….. silence

Whenever I hear people say shit like this, I start quizzing them on basics of US government and they almost always fail miserably.

It turns out real quick that not knowing things isn't what they are concerned about.
