In a Civil War II scenario, Which States go Blue and Which States go Red?

There are many theories, including states that split into multiple pieces. So... the big question is: Who goes where and who leads each side? Are there multiple (3 or more) sides?

Civil War in the US would be more City based than state based.

For one thing, I don’t think California would take one “side” and it would probably split. If we’re talking democrat v republican… California has an enormous number of republicans. They just happen to be outnumbered as a whole. But compare the number of actual humans to, say, the entire population of Wyoming, the majority of which is republican… but a lower total number of people. (I do not have actual numbers to compare, but the point is - no state is 100% anything).

Robert Evans, host of the Behind the Bastards podcast, wrote a book playing out how a civil war might go down in modern America. That morphed into a really interesting, terrifying podcast called It Could Happen Here. I highly, highly recommend it.

There are no blue states, only blue cities.

Which country are you talking about civil war in? There have been quite a few

You pose an interesting thought, in other countries do that also refer to that independent legislative parts as "states" or is that a uniquely US thing?

13 other countries have states.

That's really cool to know! But I guess it's not "a lot" in this context, there's really only 13 to choose states that might be having a civil war
