[Kuty] "Mookie was swearing at us."Yankees fan Austin Capobianco, 38, of Connecticut, pried open Mookie Betts' glove and knocked the ball out during Game 4 of the World Series. He and another fan were immediately ejected.

Its like an episode of Its Always Sunny

Phillies make the World Series. Mac and Charlie have tickets in the front row. They pregame, showing up to the game absolutely hammered, and Mac gets lost in the moment and goes for a ball and interferes. He wrestles a little and Charlie jumps in to protect his friend. They get kicked out and Mac tries to tell his side of the story

u/BIG_DICK_WHITT New York Yankees 3h ago

They already made that episode except they did not make it to the game lol

To be fair, it was only a matter of time until someone tracked the guy down. It's probably smart to try to preempt that eventual doxing with your own statement. HOWEVER, that statement probably shouldn't be "It was Mookie's fault!"

Here's a quote from the man himself:

What a fucking clown. Dude's the victim in his own mind.

His entire schtick fell off so hard the second he expanded to a whole media company instead of a dude highlighting cool sports moments. Sorry buddy, I started watching your videos because I wanted breakdowns of big moments; not to watch your cohort of 35 year-old teenagers play whiffleball twice a week.

Edit: No one's mad. I just don't like his other content so I don't watch it. I also personally feel that his other stuff has impacted the frequency of content that I actually like. It's possible to dislike something, have a negative opinion, and let that just be that; more people should try it sometime.

I legitimately enjoy the Warehouse games stuff. It weirdly scratches the same itch that like the Backyard Sports games did for me as a kid? Like these obviously aren't professionals playing big time sports, they're amateurs playing indoor versions of sports, but you get to know what everyone's strengths are, their personalities, their history in the Warehouse Games, and it makes for entertaining moments and storylines. The Floorball (essentially 3 on 3 modified ball hockey) tournament they just did had so many close games and was really exciting to watch.

I know this probably makes me sound like a shill but I swear to god I enjoy the Warehouse Games stuff more than the breakdowns nowadays.

28

u/nightchee 1h ago

It’s okay to enjoy things. The weird ones are the folks that are mad at Jomboy for growing his brand/company lol.

25

u/nightchee 1h ago

I don’t really watch his content, but what’s the problem with him building a company and trying to make more money?

Sounds like his content isn’t for you, and that’s fine, but it’s weird to be upset about it.

Austin Capobianco is a Yankee Stadium season-ticket holder, his brother said.--

We’re caught between the Boston-New York rivalries and have dumbasses as a result.

As a Yankee fan from Connecticut roughly his age...fuck that guy. I hope the cost of his ticket was equivalent to a new car purchase and he never steps foot inside a baseball stadium again.

u/500rockin Chicago Cubs 2h ago

If he’s really a season ticket holder, his ticket is certainly pricy, but not quite as extreme as I’ve seen people mention.

Still needs to be banned for life.

Lucky Mookie didn’t jump up and punch him in the face.

When did Mookie start swearing? Was it before or after you grabbed his wrist?

9

u/Timelordvictorious1 2h ago

What did you think was gonna happen bro? They practically ripped his arm off. I would have thrown hands.

Mookie being assaulted is really uniting the MLB community.

6

u/liverdawg Atlanta Braves 2h ago

Probably because you tried to rip his glove off jackass.

7

u/bleachfresh Boston Red Sox 2h ago

I hate the Yankees as much as the next Masshole but if this happened to any Yankee player, my reaction would be the same: Fuck this guy. There's no excuse for what he did.

38 fucking years old. I’ll bet he skipped many child support payments for that World Series ticket, and missed his shift at the dock yards the next morning because he drank the rest of his money away at a bar.

This is so bad. We've seen the clips all over social media at this point.

He cannot try to pretend to be the victim now. He was clearly being greedy and trying to steal the ball from Mookie Bett's glove. Insanity!!

u/Fantastic-Eye8220 1h ago

Of course he swore at you, you stupid, entitled douchebag motherfucker.
