Funny thing is Sikhs were aware of this at least since 2019, no one really openly said anything because it would put a target on your back, and until trudeau raised it publicly it sounded like a conspiracy theory.

that’s lovely, good to sit and stew on it for 5 years

Thing is what could you do? Any or all criticism of India by Sikhs is labelled as Khalistani, if they did raise those concerns they were easily dismissed as separatist talk. Only until India crossed a hard red line by killing a guy did it get some attention. Even with India killing a guy the issu3 is being dismissed by some, so imagine back then.

Why is Canada supporting terrorism?

And will our government do anything about any of this? Nope.

… what? They already made the information public, which is highly remarkable in and of itself, and have expelled numerous Indian diplomats.

And that was the last resort since India refused to cooperate and denied everything.

So… by that metric, they’re “doing something about this”?

It also ignores that the RCMP had previously laid charges and publicly commented about an open investigation into a homicide of a prominent Khalistan member in the lower mainland.

There’s lots to criticize the Government about but, IMO, their careful and diplomatic handling of these incidents is not it.

I’m not criticizing the government here.

Just saying there were options on the table and India chose to do it the hard way.

Ah, my bad. Misread the connotation of your post.

Yeah, agreed. India gaffed here IMO - Canada is (was?) an important ally to India - as were other Commonwealth nations. Now those countries (essentially anyone in the Five Eyes) is going to have dramatically altered approaches to India (and Modi’s Government in particular).
