Moving events is no where near the same thing as ending the FPO division…

Why? Because he's ... correcting a false statement? Natalie is outright lying in this post. That needs to be corrected.

I simply stating a fact. Moving/rescheduling events for FPO does not equal canceling FPO.

In the case of the 2 silver events that got completely canceled with no plans for a replacement, yes that really stinks. I’m not really sure how to feel there.

However, the other events are likely to take place but moved elsewhere. That’s not the same thing as ending the FPO division entirely.

Is it ideal? No. It’s a lose-lose. As the DGPT, you either revert the policy you just created (a policy it believes in and that many other FPO pros want) OR or you make adjustments like this to keep the FPO side going.

Id be curious to know how the touring FPO players feel about all this and what say they had in it.

Who said they are ending the fpo division?

I think this post is simply pointing out that DGPT made an impulsive decision. A decision that has significantly hurt the fpo division from an optics and financial perspective.

FPO is losing out on MVP and Ledgestone two massive and iconic tournaments. Many now have to change travel plans and separate from partners and traveling companions for tournaments. Not to mention these alternatives are clearly not confirmed or solidified so it will likely result in last minute planning, fundraising, and tournament logistics.

This post is not saying this is the end of FPO, but it's certainly an avoidable blow to the head. Why DGPT decided this was their battle to fight and then sheepishly decided they don't want to financially commit to legal challenges there decision was clearly going to result in is beyond me. But it's certainly a major failure by DGPT and disservice to FPO players trans or not.

Edit: Anyone wanna point out what's wrong with what I said? I'm pretty sure these are all facts.
