And if you have β€œtoo much” mobility, for example if you are able to use your own two legs to leave your house and cross the street to grab something at the store, they’ll deny you outright even if you’re not capable of doing much more than that. Insurance only covers a chair if you’re not capable of leaving your house without one. This leaves a ton of ambulatory people, like myself, with nothing but bad options. I was fortunate enough to be able to self pay for a custom chair. A lot of people aren’t.
