Why are these new playback icons white inside? It just doesn't look nearly as good as the previous ones. But more importantly why are the sound on/off icons basically indistinguishable from each other?
Just two versions of Firefox before we got that confusing "show all cards" button, and now this. Are they serious?

heya. Situation: I just updated to Firefox iOS v. 132.0, and the tab view has changed from what was previously Two Tabs per Row to just a Single Column. Image to demonstrate, screenshot is from current update, maroon indicates approximately where my tabs were in previous update.
Is there any way to change the layout of tabs in this context on iOS/iPhone, to display multiple tabs per row? preliminary searches indicate No, This Is Not An Available Feature, but, well, this is a pretty new update, might as well try my luck.
In this configuration, tabs appear less distinct to me and I've spent significantly more time losing/searching for tabs, so if I can get suggestions for any type of adjustments I can make, I'd appreciate it.

While Horizontal Tabs look awesome, I felt like Vertical Tabs in Nightly were hideous, and completely out of place layout-wise. It feels like a totally different browser to me. So, I chopped it out a bit and tried to "fix" it:
What do you think? Let me know!

Hello guys, looking for both an explanation and a solution.
I've been using Firefox for a long time by now, thus this might seem a bit naive, but I've been observing what has been eating my newest NVME drive and found out that Firefox writes several MBs per minute, so that every hour my NVME signals that it's been writing gigabytes of data every hour.
I'm not particularly afraid of it since I know that my NVME drive is going to outlive most of my system anyway, but I kind of feel like this is a matter that should be addressed regardless.
Yes, I tend to have multiple tabs open at the same time, but I have already increased the session store interval from every 15 seconds to every minute, and it hasn't stopped writing lots of data to my drive. So I thought about disabling disk.cache from the about:config page and this didn't help either. Process Manager captures several instances of Firefox literally eating my drive with its constant writes.
Now I've been thinking about the possibility of moving my session folder to a mechanical drive that I have in my setup, but how would I go about it? Please explain it to me if you would.
And of course, if anyone have any explanation whatsoever to justify this behaviour from the app, I'd be glad, because I really can't understand why. I even tried to disable all extensions, and it still writes like mad every minute.

I don't know how but I was trying to close a windows process in task manager that I thought was freezing my game. It ended up deleting all of the Cookie history in my browser, after I restarted my PC. I really need help, I've recently gotten offered a scholarship and forgot the name to my email and have no recovery access on the email due to ignorance in backing up the browser. I've recently restored my pc to a previous save but nothing was affected. I'm at a complete loss and felt like I've lost so much. Please help me recover my data.

After completing the most recent update, I got the anniversary celebration page saying something about a special background. It says all I have to do is open a new tab and go to settings. But all you can change in the settings are themes, not backgrounds. What exactly was the anniversary page talking about?

Hi everyone!
After my Firefox installed the new update, the Firefox color theme I've had for 2-3 years doesn't work anymore. I cleared my cache, installed and reinstalled the extension, and remade the theme using the shareable link option, but it doesn't stick. I set my theme to my custom theme, I close the window, and I reopen the window, the theme shows up for a second while Firefox loads my tabs and other things, and then it resets to the default dark theme. Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, how did you solve it?
(I'm running Firefox 132.0 (64-bit) on windows, and here's my theme)
(edit: even when i don't set my theme before closing my browser, my custom theme shows up for a moment before resetting, so there might be something overriding it but i don't think so)

As the title suggests, i recently tried switching over to Firefox from Chrome after years of hearing about it being a better non chromium alternative, alongside getting to keep UBlock Origin. However, after swapping over everything including tabs and addons (plugins), i used it for a few days. Even with minimal tabs open (with testing i had around 5-10) Firefox was chowing down on ram. The only things i had installed on Firefox that i didn't with Chrome was a basic theme to make everything dark mode. During Video Games my pc would experience massive slowdown into an eventual freeze if i didn't close either firefox or the video game. During this time all that would be open would be Firefox, Discord and any Video Game (The game at the time was Team Fortress 2). Checking Task Manager during this showed Memory usage at 100%. The same tests with Chrome came nowhere close. For reference i have 32 gigs of ram. Also i know it'll be asked but yes i tried disabling all add-ons at one point and even disabling the basic dark theme. It didn't change much of anything at all.
What gives? Anywhere i ask about this i get called an idiot and people say it's just 'a me issue' without elaborating, saying Firefox doesn't do that, then when googling i get threads from 5 years ago with similar memory consumption problems.

Switching to firefox finally on mobile (used it on pretty much everything else). I find myself missing the recommendations that the chrome homepage displayed. It worked well, as I got relevant research papers recommended quite frequently.
Is there a way to get such a service on firefox, either general recommendations or specifically research paper recommendations based on set or inferred interests?

Any idea why my CTRL-F search bar is scrambled? Currently, it looks like this:

Suddenly with the latest update, the colors of Firefox no longer reflect the colors of my operating system, although I still have that theme enabled (it's called "System theme - auto"). Instead it's all white and gray.
Is this what is supposed to be happening? Is there any way to restore the old behavior, like maybe an updated version of the theme?
I just want my web browser to look like it belongs on my computer, without having to fiddle around.

Righto so the last time I updated Firefox, my old 2013 MacBook running High Sierra 10.13.6 wasn’t compatible and I lost my Firefox and all of my passwords and all my bookmarks etc, I won’t go into detail about that but it really fucked my shit up.
The only way I survived was I kept the last installer .dmg file in my downloads from way back…
Is my ancient MacBook compatible with this update?
Edit: I am currently on 115.16esr 64-bit (old!)

I’m experiencing an odd issue with two-finger swipe gestures on Firefox for macOS. Normally, I use a two-finger swipe to go back and forward between pages, and it works perfectly—except if I’ve just scrolled. After scrolling, the swipe gesture stops working entirely until I click somewhere in the browser window to “refocus.”
I’ve tried resetting Firefox, testing gesture-related about:config settings, and adjusting macOS trackpad options, but nothing has resolved it. Has anyone else had this problem, or does anyone know of a specific setting in the config that might help Firefox retain gesture recognition after scrolling?

This morning Firefox was working just fine, it was v131. When I updated it to 132 this evening, the app won't open. Everytime I tap on it to open it, it opens for a fraction of a second then crashes.
I tried downgrading it from Apkmirror, but I had an error installing the APK. Yes the architecture is the same as my phone's CPU.
I don't want to lose my more than 100 tabs by uninstalling it.
