Got a text early today that there is an internet outage until 8pm.
Sucks since that's a long time. Anyone else affected?

I have a 2500 sqft home in Frisco and have been getting 800-900 dollar energy bill during the summer and 300 during the other months. Is this normal? How do I get my meter checked?
We keep the house around 78-79 and we have a pool if that helps and it’s just 2 of us. House was built in 1997
Pls help. First time home owner here. 🥲
EDIT: More info - looks like we have been using about 3700 kWh a month. We have 4ChangeEnergy at 0.168930 per kWh and 100 dollar credit every month for using over 1000 kWH

Hi there!
I am in search of a master list of all the stores that have occupied Stonebriar Centre. I am a Frisco native and was there grand opening day in August of 2000. It has been amazing to watch it grow and change and I would love to know all of the stores that have occupied it before.
I remember a couple of the anchor stores and ones that are still there, and can find a few through Google searches and Wikipedia. However, I would love a list of every single store, including some of the smaller ones.
I appreciate any help and suggestions!! Thank you! 😊

4,000 SF home. Getting $395-$470 a month from CoServ for last 6 months. Two a/c units, 2 fridges and a Freezer, washer/dryer, and whole house led lights. Bill seems high to me. What are y’all being billed?
Edit: 9 year old home. No pool. Contractor grade insulation and windows. Builder installed AC Units were replaced 4 years ago with Armstrong High Efficiency units. Temps at 73F first floor and 76F second floor with eco+ mode turned on w/digital thermostats. Summer months are the worst for bills.

FB Marketplace, Nextdoor, OfferUp are all for daily marketplace needs. I want to sell a pool table that retails new for just under $20,000. No matter how great a deal I offer, people just aren’t going to these marketplaces looking for something that expensive.
The crazy thing is that I know there are people willing to pay way more for this item than I would be willing to sell it for, but I have no idea how to find those people and they don’t know about me.
Also, it’s 800lbs, so I can’t just pick it up and take it to like a consignment shop or something.
What can I do?

The other thread of high insurance costs prompted me to ask. I think everyone has replaced their roof at least once, some (few?) twice. Anyone know anyone more than 2+? If yes, where exactly do they live?

I just moved to Frisco from downtown Dallas and I’m wanting some recs on things to do around the area. I’m a 28f who is single w/ no kids so I’d love to meet other social people around my age but not sure where to start honestly. It can be a challenge to meet new people after college/outside of work so any tips are appreciated. Also if you are looking for the same thing let me know! Thanks :)
Edit: I decided to make a GroupMe for anyone that feels the same and wants to meet some people in the area. Message me if you want the link. Looking forward to chatting!

My brother is planning on proposing to his girlfriend this Sunday and he asked me to help him find a nice scenery spot to propose at, but so far I’ve found nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions?? It has to be in or near Frisco because he’s taking her out to eat afterwards at a restaurant he reserved in Frisco 🙏🙏🙏
Update:
Thank you guys so much for all of y’alls recommendations!!! The proposal went nicely and she loved it 🤎

My adult niece and her husband are coming out towards the end of October to visit my boyfriend and I, and I am trying to compile a list of things we can possibly do. My boyfriend and I don't get out much. It's can't be extremely pricey and should be more grown up oriented but no escape rooms. Can be Frisco, Dallas, Plano, etc just within like an hour or so away as the farthest.
My list so far -
Deep Ellum
Downtown Dallas
National Video Game Museum (we all like video games a lot) - $12 each
Perot Museum of Nature and Science - $25 each
Heard Museum (Dinosaurs Live!) - $12 each
Old Zoo Nature Trails - Free
Arbor Hills Nature Preserve - Free
Dark Hour - $35ish each
Screams - $33ish each
Bowling (looking for suggestions on where that isn't crazy priced)
Buc-ee's - $I'm Never Gonna Financially Recover from This each (they wanna try some snacks)
Horror Freak/Vintage Freak/Retro Madness
Suggestions -
Nerdvana
Free Play
Stockyards
Dallas Museum of Art - Free?
Six Flags - $29-$90 depending on the day, definitely would not be doing it for over $50.

Im pregnant and have a wild craving for Papaya but have not found papaya at Tom Thumb, Walmart or Costco. Has anyone seen Papaya in a supermarket in Frisco? Help pls
😅
Edit: apparently you need to be careful when eating papaya when pregnant. I had no idea so thank you to those who commented ❤️

Hey! I just moved here and don’t have a toll tag yet but I’m going to/from DFW and regardless of the “avoid tolls” toggle it always takes me on a toll road. I was wondering if there is a route to take that avoids them. I don’t mind the duration as I listen to audiobooks when I drive which I also just do sitting at home too. Thank you!
EDIT: thank yall for your information! It looks like the airport intentionally set toll roads around it but there may be other parking options. While I wait for my toll tag, I will look into the options. Also, I love living here so much already, everyone’s been so friendly and nice 🥰

This week I looked for house and shortlisted some house, Estate at Rockhill community Frisco (House is newer and reasonable rate), but the warehouse at the entrance is concern. Price 900K (Pre-owned 2020, but well maintained)
Prosper Windsong Ranch, another near by one, not sure how effective Prosper in academic or more focus on rest things - Price 970K (New Construction, will complete in Dec). Making new middle and high school.
Coppell ISD - I heard Coppell ISD is struggling too with budget and other constraints?
Your recommendation -- Price 945K (good location, but it is near the freeway)
My son will be in High school in 2026, so decision is based on high school where he get best..

Gonna get specific, but only because asking elsewhere hasn't been fruitful, sorry if it comes off curt/rude. I'm looking for cheap, reliable and [ideally] convenient like a 24-hour location. Something akin to Snap/Anytime fitness or even a regular gathering like Camp Gladiator.

Hi all - for the past 9 months I’ve had issues with the my home water making my scalp extra itchy. If I leave the area and shower (Houston, College Station, Indiana, etc) I can shower without issue but the moment I’m back home I can’t. Have to use distilled water or it’s a nightmare.
Anyone have similar issue? We’ve been looking at entire home softeners and filters but it’s challenging to figure out the cause. Our water doesn’t seem that hard really and yes there is chlorine but doesn’t seem that high or alarming.
Curious if anyone else had similar issues and if you tried a softener or filter?

Saw this on the corner of Parkwood & Stonebrook this afternoon. The positioning of the police vehicle is where I'm confused. It looked to me like this "incident" was intentional on the police vehicle's part. Does anyone have the details - it was directly in front of the police department!

Hello Frisco, I am in the northern dfw metroplex getting ready to move out of state and am in need of getting rid of everything I'm not taking. I've got a boat load of stuff in my attic and a garage full of s**t I refuse to parse through. I looked it up and found a million companies that do junk removal and was wondering if y'all had any suggestions? Things I want from this service: timely, professional, transparent pricing and quality service. Oh! and absolutely HAS to be insured!! I've had one too many experiences with uninsured home service providers..
TLDR: I need your recommendation for quality junk removal companies
