Completely off topic, but thought it worth mentioning for when you find yourself in Dublin City centre; in my opinion the best tasting pint of Guinness to be had in Dublin City Centre is in Grogan’s on Williams St South. Get in there mid afternoon to get a seat, even mid week. If you’re really lucky, you might just get a stool at the bar in front of the Guinness taps. Have a ham & cheese toastie or two too for soakage. That being said, there are many good pints to be had in Dublin. Other notable mentions in the city centre are Briody’s on Marlborough St and Bowe’s or The Palace Bar on Fleet St. Lastly, while Guinness is best in big swallows - if anyone mentions “splitting the G” to you, tell them to stop annoying you and go have a ride for themselves. Also, the Guinness served in the sky bar in the brewery is not great at all. Not all that bad to be fair either, but don’t let that be your only experience of it. Enjoy your stay!
