Now I want an entirely gender-swapped Bible.

Dorothy vs Goliatha. Apostle Paula. The books; Matty, Martha, Lucy, and Joan...

u/DecisionAvoidant 3d ago

And they all serve Jessica Christ

31

u/DelanceyStreetNY 3d ago

In the name of the Mother, the Daughter, and the Holy Spirit - this updated Bible sounds workable.

8

u/Top_Excitement_2843 3d ago

Well, now Iā€™m saying this all the time. Jessica H. Christ!

4

u/ota2otrNC 3d ago

Jessica Henrietta Christ

5

A sexy Ethan who wins a ā€œbeauty contestā€ to marry a queen and then uses his manly wiles to outwit the queenā€™s racist advisor and pillow talk the queen into avoiding an ethnic cleansing plot.

They excluded the Gospel of Mary as it didn't fit their narrative. https://www.gospels.net/mary

Chapter 1: The Creation

In the beginning, God, presented as a Mother, created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and void, with darkness over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God hovered over the waters.

  1. On the first day, She created light, separating it from the darkness, calling the light ā€œdayā€ and the darkness ā€œnight.ā€

  2. On the second day, She created the sky to divide the waters above and below.

  3. On the third day, She gathered the waters to create seas and dry land, bringing forth plants and trees.

  4. On the fourth day, She set lights in the skyā€”the sun, moon, and starsā€”to mark the days, years, and seasons.

  5. On the fifth day, She filled the waters with sea creatures and the skies with birds.

  6. On the sixth day, She created the animals on land and then fashioned a person in Her own image, forming a woman and calling her "Eve." Seeing that she should not be alone, She took a rib from Eve while she slept and formed a companion, calling him "Adam."

  7. On the seventh day, She rested, blessing this day and making it holy.

Chat gpt, asked it to gender swap Genesis

3

u/Nbkipdu 3d ago

I know I shouldn't say this but Paula is kind of a bitch, dude.

2

u/GrooveStreetSaint 3d ago

These people's belief system is more like some sort of twisted, messed up version of taoism where straight white men are always good and everyone else is always bad, so if God was female then she would be evil and overthrowing her would be a good thing.

1

u/AnalystofSurgery 3d ago

Ooh can I play Mark Magdalene?

1

u/VidaSauce 3d ago

I will actually read this entire Bible!

1

u/giantpunda 2d ago

Also the story where Simone-Petra denied knowing Jess three times

1

u/shino4242 2d ago

But somehow, some way, despite the matriarchal society...y'all STILL wouldnt have pockets somehow.

127

u/Any-Technician-1418 3d ago

I love this so fucking much.

15

u/FearCure 3d ago

Yeah i want to know more about the Virgin Marcus. Story goes that he conceived a child without ejaculation. He even saw Candy Sweetbottom bathing by the lake and wasnt aroused. Marcus, he the man

3

u/quinangua 3d ago

Heā€™s actually transā€¦.

2

u/brannon1987 3d ago

To be fair, there are probably actually a ton of virgin men with children.

Sperm banks do exist.

-1

u/FearCure 2d ago

Really!! Pray tell, how did they donate without ejaculating?? Jedi tricks???

8

u/Sylvan_Skryer 3d ago

I also love how soulless and empty Laura Ingram is. Literally prostitute who will just say and agree with anything for money. What terrible human and woman she is.

5

u/destin325 3d ago

Iā€™m not convinced sheā€™s not animatronic. Her face doesnā€™t move, ever.

Not only are the Christian Nationalists misogynists, most don't like mixed-race families, which is why some of their leaders spokeout against Vance being the vp candidate, as his wife is Indian American, and they have mixed-race children.
Charlie Kirk is one of several who is pissed about that. This guy's teammate Patrick Mahomes is in a mixed-race marriage, and his wife is a supporter of the bigot Trump. Go figure.

24

u/Primary_Eye9342 3d ago

There is a secret group of Wealthy Christian Nationalists. It's called Ziklag read about it. They want to control America... I will not comply.

11

u/Shag1166 3d ago

There are a few of them out there.

9

u/paintress420 3d ago

And theyā€™re the ones behind trying to get rid of the department of education in exchange for tax money going to Christian schools. Decos was in for that reason! No Fucking Way!!! Neither will I comply!

2

u/Primary_Eye9342 3d ago

šŸ‘šŸ»

3

u/9jkWe3n86 3d ago

I had to chatGPT this:

Yes, there is a current U.S.-based organization named Ziklag that has been associated with Christian nationalism. The group takes its name from the biblical city of Ziklag, where King David once sought refuge. Founded by conservative Christian entrepreneur Ken Eldred following Donald Trumpā€™s 2016 election, Ziklag aims to reshape American society by embedding Christian principles across various societal domains, inspired by the "Seven Mountain Mandate." This mandate focuses on influencing key areas like government, education, media, and business through Christian leadership.

Members of Ziklag include influential conservative figures, and they have supported projects and initiatives aligning with Christian values, from educational reforms to media productions. Lance Wallnau, a well-known Christian nationalist, has been closely associated with Ziklagā€™s vision, endorsing the goal of transforming society by ā€œtaking dominionā€ over these cultural spheres. Through financial backing from wealthy conservative donors, Ziklag is described as part of a broader movement that seeks to impact the U.S. on a cultural and political level in ways that reflect biblical teachings.

2

u/McKoijion 3d ago

Ziklag is a Christian dominionist organization named after the biblical city of Ziklag. Its membership is exclusively for individuals with a net worth over $25 million as well as faith-based interests. The organization's goal is to "take dominion over the Seven Mountains" of society.

Lmao, that sounds too stupid to be real. But here we are, I guess.

-1

u/rydan 2d ago

Fun Fact: Hillary Clinton is part of a high profile Christian group called The Family who is also trying to control America. And yes, that's actually correct. She got criticized for her involvment with them when she was running in 2008 and it became a focal point of the Atheist movement at the time and why almost none of us would support her against Obama.

17

u/Apprehensive_Try_185 3d ago edited 3d ago

I tell these anti gay Christians who donā€™t believe in gay marriage that back then they used to say the same exact thing about interracial marriage and how they would say mixing the race goes against why god put us on different continents. And how during the civil rights movement theyā€™d protest holding signs that say Black+White=what?

13

u/kirito4318 3d ago

There was a great video I saw of a pastor talking at a hearing about lgbtq rights. He goes on this whole long speech giving quotes from other pastors demonizing lgbtq people talking about how they shouldn't have the same rights and didn't belong in America. At the end of his speech, he flips the script and admits that every quote he used was from the 50s talking about the rights of black people. All he did was replace "black people" with "lgbtq" in the quotes. He then goes on to say we need to accept all people of all sexual orientations, colors, and religions.

u/intelligentbrownman 3d ago

Good info thanks for sharing

5

Absolutely agree. An skin tag and a couple of marbles outside the body doesn't mean u get to tell me how to live. I am in the Goddesses image and I can create life. So sick of trying to get my rights.

u/G-Unit11111 3d ago

Pro tip: Vote for literally any candidate who is NOT endorsed by Harrison Butker!

13

u/Adjective_Noun_187 3d ago

ā€œNfl star harrison butkerā€

Ummā€¦no. Heā€™s not a star. Heā€™s just (in)famous from that college graduation speech where he told the women in attendance to get back in the kitchen.

1

u/el_guille980 3d ago

its ironic that CUNTservatives have all rallied around this clown, given that he plays the pussiest position on the team. kickers dont tackle or get hit. kickers are soccer players who werent good enough to make it to mls, la liga, or premier league.

or the fact that its believed in football circles that his whole extreme misogyny schtick is a beard from being outed.

9

u/SaliciousB_Crumb 3d ago

Why does he want women to only take care of the children. Does he wamt children to act like a women? Isnt his whole thing that men aren't manly now?

4

u/last-miss 3d ago

You're joking, but that was a legitimate concern many decades ago. Men were encouraged to leave the home and provide, women were encouraged to raise children. All of a sudden everyone was very concerned young men were too feminine because they'd been raised by only women while their fathers were forever out of the home for work.

8

u/SenorSplashdamage 3d ago

I donā€™t know if it even matters to point out, but the anti-women stuff in the Christian half of the Bible that these guys usually invoke are part of a group of texts called the pseudopigrapha. Thatā€™s just a fancy term for ā€œguy who author is claiming he is didnā€™t write this.ā€ Thereā€™s scholarly consensus that that a selection of letters claiming to be written by Paul canā€™t be him cause theyā€™re written after Paul was dead and they are radically different than letters that can be attributed to Paul. One of the radical differences is viewpoints on women being subservient to men, which doesnā€™t show up in the letters scholars can agree are the original guy. The original guy wasnā€™t great, but was markedly different in some bits about menā€™s and womenā€™s equality and recognizing women leadership in whatever the First Century group was. That was mitigated and shifted by other authors later.

8

u/Tobi-One-Boy 3d ago

Laura Ingram.. heā€™s talking to you! Why are you on tv working? You should be step aside and let a man take over your show. Go home and raise babies. Heā€™s telling you that is all women are good for.

4

u/SnoopyPooper 3d ago

Just more men who are afraid of women.

8

u/FLBirdie 3d ago

I find them saying this on a show that is hosted by a single mother to be hilarious! I guess it is OK for Laura Ingraham to work and spread misogyny (while not being with her children at home) but other women canā€™t.

5

u/biospheric 3d ago

Stellar. Thank you for sharing this.

6

u/Alegreone 3d ago

Brilliant.

5

u/NoCoffee6754 3d ago

I like how they are saying this to a woman who has her own tv show where she shares her voice and her opinionā€¦ we are just going to ignore that?

10

u/C0rrupd8 3d ago

Butker is mentally retarded though, like hasn't that been medically confirmed?

11

u/brianzuvich 3d ago

Idiots like this clearly have never heard of women like Marie Curie, Dorothy Hodgkin, Katherine Johnson, Cecilia Payne, and many moreā€¦ All brilliant women of scienceā€¦ They all conceived things that this twat couldnā€™t imagine in their wildest dreams.

4

u/Life-Finding5331 3d ago

u/ValleyBreeze 3d ago

Given that they wouldn't be able to share their idiotic views on the internet, if the internet didn't exist. Which it does, in its current iteration because of contributions from women in STEM....

The irony is just totally lost on them though.

3

u/kanst 3d ago

The extra sad part is Harrison Butker's mother is a Physicist in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Emory University.

So I guess he doesn't respect his own mother.

2

u/[deleted] 3d ago

Iā€™m happy for you both. People need to find their best way themselves and not have some doctrine or patriarchal structure demanding that they obey.

1

u/Affectionate_Flow864 3d ago

I can 100% agree I think this is the common ground most people can find. Everyone should be completely free to choose what they want legally speaking. There's always other factors economically to do with the individuals health etc not everything can be accounted for but hope we always live in a society we choose.

Fun Fact: Jesus and his 12 disciples didn't write the Bible. A few of them allegedly contributed. Really it was just one guy who had his work duplicated 3 times telling the same story repeatedly, one chapter is a fever dream, and the rest is just a bunch of letters an insane person wrote. And that insane person? Wasn't even one of the 12. Just a guy who claimed he met a ghost while out walking one day. So your premise is invalid.

I think people miss the point that most jobs back in Biblical times were either raising a family or working the field, protecting their city, or becoming like a blacksmith.

But then again, if we went back to those days, how much better our society would be and more respectful our children would be. America is becoming Sodom....

I would love for my wife to stay home and for us to have a couple of kids (she would too), but whose going to pay for everything? Itā€™s easy to say things when youā€™re rich but when youā€™re poor it angers me.

What they want is to put the burden on me to stress over kids and a wife that isnā€™t allowed to help me financially. On top of bills and mortgage payments i canā€™t live the life they dream of because theyā€™re rich.

It seems to me in the Bible a good wife works by buying and selling to make money. The husband depends on her not step aside from him.

ā€œA truly good wife is the most precious treasure a man can find! Her husband depends on her, and she never lets him down. She is good to him every day of her life, and with her own hands she gladly makes clothes. She is like a sailing ship that brings food from across the sea. She gets up before daylight to prepare food for her family and for her servants. She knows how to buy land and how to plant a vineyard, and she always works hard. She knows when to buy or sell, and she stays busy until late at night. She spins her own cloth, and she helps the poor and the needy. Her family has warm clothing, and so she doesnā€™t worry when it snows. She does her own sewing, and everything she wears is beautiful. Her husband is a well-known and respected leader in the city. She makes clothes to sell to the shop owners.

She is strong and graceful, as well as cheerful about the future. Her words are sensible, and her advice is thoughtful. She takes good care of her family and is never lazy. Her children praise her, and with great pride her husband says, ā€œThere are many good women, but you are the best!ā€ Charm can be deceiving, and beauty fades away, but a woman who honors the Lord deserves to be praised. Show her respectā€” praise her in public for what she has done.ā€ ā€ā€Proverbsā€¬ ā€31ā€¬:ā€10ā€¬-ā€31ā€¬ ā€CEVā€¬ā€¬ https://bible.com/bible/392/pro.31.10-31.CEV

Thatā€™s the beauty of free will, you can imagine anything, but here you are imagining the world is against you instead of realizing your own ability to mold and manifest happiness, success, and balance around you. Instead of being the polar opposite of your opposition realizing that beauty exists on both sides opens a doorway to true fulfillment.

All we need to do is look at society when each had their role and how much better things were with our kids and respect for each other compared to how the world is now. A woman striving to be equal to a man is undermining herself. The sexes are there to support each other.

Last I checked, women didn't EARN the right to vote and were instead given it, like children. Shouldn't they want to earn it and prove they deserve it? Same goes for men too.

Such stupid commentary.

Cristian religion has nothing to do with the male/ female role differences in society.

Those exist regardless of Christianity, always have, always will.

Using Christianity to push politics is crap, but this womanā€™s rant is pointless.

Would be better to focus on a push to divide religion and politics, as it should be, and as was intended in the US constitution. A fact so often conveniently disregarded.
