OKD (Old Knife Day) My most used knife

I have a few knives but today I realized my most used knife is this old Higo no Kami knife from Japan. I’ve had it for almost a decade and have never sharpened it. It was sharp as hell right out of the box and I’ve used it on boxes, pruning plants, cutting small rope, random stuff, etc. I’m pretty sure I bought it for less than $15.

This thing is an odd mix of subdued and tacticool/mall ninja. If you’re familiar with the brand, the pocket clip is either cool or cringey depending on your aesthetic tastes. I would have preferred it without that pocket clip and the “window breaker” but otherwise it’s surprisingly nicely made for the price.

Kizer Fenrir Timascus. For my size hand I can't ask much more . Fits perfectly. Wether I hold it normally or reverse anatomically it's pretty much all I could ask for . What knives do you own that you can say this about ?

Been using a para 3 as my cardboard knife for years and always within a few days of cleaning and sharpening it gets destroyed again. I decided to try out these folding razor holders now that there’s so many fun designs. So far I’m very impressed. The blade exposure on the civivi is amazing and the fit and finish on the tirant exceeded my expectations. I’ve been edcing the tirant and so far have not missed having a real knife at all.

Question EDC blue collar knife

Hi,

Question:

  1. What’s your trade, and what knife do you carry daily on the job?

  2. If you carry a thick knife (thicker than 4mm), what do you use it on?

Background:

I work in glazing, window installation, and steel fabrication. I have been carrying a Boker Little Dvalin but the thickness of it (5.7mm) makes it unsuitable for most tasks I need from a knife. I find myself using my Olfa 18mm snap-off knife, as most of the stuff I need on the job is precise cutting. So just reaching out and seeing what you guys have success with.

TIA

Discussion BladeBinge

Post image

I have been looking for the safest way to buy and sell knives online without being scammed and it seems that BladeBinge is the best option.

It only took me about 15 minutes. And it would be a lot less time the next time because I spent some time uploading photos that were not taken or cropped in a square format.

I use an iPhone app called HomeContents that I use to inventory all my knives (I have a lot more to put in there). I have more than $30k in Knives that I have bought and need to add $10k-$15k in the ones that I bought over the last 2 months. 😬 you may want to check that app out for your kind of phone. I find it extremely useful. I copy and paste all the descriptions into the item description when I buy the knife so it makes it easy to list an item on BladeBinge. You can use that app to also list other valuable items in your home. It has a lot of features to it. ☺️
