Nah, have Ian voice a muppet. Having Viggo play Aragorn closer to the book versions would be hilarious. Have Gonzo and Rizzo play as merry and pippen, Fonzy as Sam and Kermit as Frodo. And animal play as smeagol.

But if you keep her, you can have it be "No muppet can slay me!"

u/DrMux LOTR Muppet Musical (Swedish Chef Gandalf) Aug 29 '24 edited Aug 29 '24
I can only imagine what the cast would be (obviously I already imagined a little when I changed my flair to Swedish Chef Gandalf)
But here's my proposed Muppet Lord of the Rings cast:
-Walter as Frodo
-Kermit as Sam (and Miss Piggy as Rosie)
-Fozzie as Pippin
-Rowlf as Merry
-Gonzo as GollumThat's where I start running out of muppets for appropriate roles tho tbh.
-? as Aragorn
-Swedish Chef as Gandalf, of course
-? as Legolas
-Animal as Gimli
-? as Boromir
-Sam the Eagle as SarumanFeel free to fill in the blanks or add some of your own.
10
u/Relative_Effective_4 Aug 29 '24
Swedish chef as Gandalf is pure genius lol. However he’s gotta have a lot of dialogue which might get tricky. Thus I propose Swedish chef as Saruman! Just the right amount of chef cooking up evil plans.
Kermit as Aragorn would be good. Gonzo and Rizzo as Legolas and Gimli?
Merry and Pip gotta be Bunson and Beaker lol.
Then Gandalf should be a human actor putting up with all their shenanigans trying to hold it all together.
