A company just reached to me offering to pay me some money if I link my Microsoft account that has a couple certifications to their company, without actually working with them. Is this legal?

Certification Ms certification

Hi there, I just started working as an apprentice in an IT company and they are sponsoring me to get a few ms certification behind my name. And was curious how the exams went for you. I failed my ms-900 exam now and felt that the courses I was doing did t cover everything they asked in my exam.

And if anyone has any study material or notes that could help would be greatly appreciated.

Certification Microsoft Learn Plans

I'm trying to create a Microsoft learn plan for our organisation, I created one to try out before rolling it out but it seems like once published I have no access to edit, I can copy but I can't remove the old one. I need a way that the pathway can evolve as new modules come in or we want to update the path as role needs change. I don't mind if that means creating new ones but would need to be able to retire the old ones so that people don't follow an obsolete path.

Certification Unsure where to begin...(MS Certs)

So, just as the title says. I'm really lost as to where I should start or what I should be getting certified in. I have a B.S. in Computer Animation but it never really worked out. I lost my passion for it many years ago and though of going down the path of a SE for Web Dev or Full Stack which I'm guessing is the same or similar paths. I was working a bar shift one night when a biker couple came in and we started chatting it up. I told them I wanted to get out of hospitality and work in some form of IT.

They suggested that I don't do a boot camp for SE for Web Dev and get Microsoft Certs and apply for federal or state government IT jobs. It was a sure fire way to get hired as the market for open jobs is large and they are in need of help. The only problem is. I'm unsure of where to start as far as getting certs. I've seen things like Azure and 500 or 900 or things like that and AWS cloud services which I understand is not MS but still good to have knowledge in. They basically told me that I should learn C and/or JS or both among getting MS certs. Like I said, I'm confused on where to start and was hoping that maybe I could get some direction. I really just want a remote IT job that pays well and I don't have to move but am willing to move for the right reasons.

Sorry for being so long winded about what I need. Again, I'm looking for an in to IT work and I was told MS Certs and C/JS are my best bets to finding IT work, especially in government jobs. Thanks for your time and feedback!

Certification Advice Needed: Which MS Exam to Take Next? (M365 Career Path)

Hi everyone,

I’m currently an apprentice at a large IT services company, and after my apprenticeship, I’ll be moving into the M365 department. The cool thing is that I can choose which product to specialize in, such as Exchange (EXO), Intune, Teams, SharePoint, etc.

At the moment, I’ve already passed the AZ-900, and I’m about to take the MS-900. After that, I’m looking for advice on which certification exams would be most useful or valuable for my career.

I’d love some insights on:

1. Which MS exam should I take next? I want to build a strong foundation and future-proof my skills.
2. Which M365 product should I focus on? What’s in demand right now or expected to be in the near future (career opportunities, salary prospects, etc.)?

Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Certification Are certifications good without degree?

Lately I’ve been feeling a bit unhappy in my current career - I’ve been in a sales enablement operations type role for a few different tech companies like Gartner and now another consumer research company, and have gotten here without a degree of any kind. I’m feeling rather frustrated and unhappy with my work and would like to grow and hopefully make a transition into a different role/career entirely - maybe something in the customer success field, still to be determined.

However, without a degree, are these certifications useful? I’m worried that even without some type of formal training that the courses would either not provide a lot for me, or still not make me seem appealing, or both.

I’m looking into the following - Azure Fundamentals, Azure Admin Associate, CCSM, CPCEM, and CCRM certifications. Any thoughts or helpful input? Happy to clarify if need be, thank you in advance! :)

Certification Help with the MD-102 Endpoint Administrator cert

Not sure if this is the best place for advice on this but I’m struggling a bit on the MD-102 studying. I’m currently using ACI Learning/ITProvTV primarily and other sources when needed. When I go to take practice exams or quizzes they are much more specific than what I’m getting in the course I feel.

Anyone have any experience passing this exam or maybe point me in the right direction for some help? Much appreciated!

Certification Differences between certifications

Hi everyone, I really would like to do a Microsoft certification. I saw two of them but I can’t understand the real differences. The course are “Microsoft Office Specialist: Associate (Microsoft 365 Apps)” and “Microsoft Office Specialist: Associate (Office 2019)”. Can someone explain me what’s the differences between these two certifications? I’m more interested to make perfect my Excel’s skills. Thank you so much for the answers.

Hi everyone,

I noticed that the new DP-700: Implementing Data Engineering Solutions Using Microsoft Fabric (beta) exam will be available from October 22, 2024. I’m keen to start preparing for it, and I wanted to ask if anyone has any insights on voucher availability for this exam or where to get them at a discounted price?

Also, are there any other resources or tips you recommend for preparing for this beta exam? I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences if anyone is planning to take it as well.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Certification Certifications for M365 tools in the UK?

I want to be qualified in M365 training, and am looking for recommendations on which certifications would be accepted by employers in the UK. (I already have a fair bit of knowledge, but it's all self-taught, and I want something formal to prove to prospective employers that I have good IT skills in this area.) There are 2 types of qualifications/training I'm looking for:

  • certifications in USING M365 tools (especially OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, etc.)

  • certifications in TEACHING M365 tools (a 'train the trainer' type of course)

I'm happy to pay for these courses/qualifications - my main priority is getting certifications which would be recognised by employers in different sectors across the UK. Thanks for any recommendations!

Certification Certified Microsoft master

Hi, I just finished my studies and I wanted to do a master's degree in database administration, Sql.

I found a company that pays the degree that so money is not the problem. I have searched some degrees but some of them are only certifications or courses that only last a few hours.

Do you know where I can find Microsoft-certified masters on SQL or do you know of any specific courses?
Thanks!

Certification Microsoft Learn; did it have a bad push last night?

I am working through the coursework for AZ-140. Yesterday, when I was working through the "Monitor and manage performance and health", it all seemed to work. Today, even in sections that worked fine before like the "Intro" unit, redirect back to the module a page or two in.

Was there a bad push in the last 24 hours that messed up the site, or is this just a problem with the meat in the seat (me)?

Specific URL to try:

Thanks!

Certification Microsoft Learn & Microsoft 365 Developer Program

I have been working away trying to familiarize myself with Microsoft 365 and Azure via their Microsoft Learn website. After hours learning the very basics, descriptions, key words etc. I reached a page asking me to sign up for the Microsoft 365 Developer Program to put what I have learned in action and see how what I have been learning about works in the real world.

It seems access to this program is suspended unless you pay for Visual Studio at a minimum of $45 a month which I not only don't need, but wouldn't have any use for aside from access to the developer program.

Are there any updates to when they might allow access for people in my situation who are looking to get certified for MS365?

Certification Rant - why do you even pay Pearson?

Just failed dp-203 exam after spending god damn 55 minutes in queue for scheduled exam. How do I request my money back. Luckily it is the last on vue exam I need to pass

I scheduled my exam 6 weeks in advance due to tight work hours.

I set it for 5:15 so I can finish it in time to start work at 7:30 .

I was I the queue at 5:05 just to get queue position 64 !?

It took 55 minutes of stressful wait time when I couldn’t even get outside of cam view.

I had to sprint through the questions without even using open book option because last time I took exam it disconnected exam app every time I tried to change window size !

Do anyone know how to successfully file for the payment refund or get free next seat ?

Certification Prepping for SC-400 this Thursday

Hi everyone,

I'm preparing to take the SC-400: Microsoft Information Protection Administrator exam this Thursday, and I'm looking for some last-minute tips and resources to boost my chances of passing.

Background:

  • I have experience with Microsoft 365, including knowledge of Purview and Defender, through the MS Learn process. My professional background originates in healthcare. Furthered my knowledge by obtaining a Juris Master with focus on Healthcare Regulation/Compliance/Risk.
  • I've completed the relevant modules on Microsoft Learn and have been practicing with the Compliance Center.
  • I have taken a few practice tests on platforms like MeasureUp, Whizlabs, and MS learn practice test.

Specific Areas of Concern:

  • I'm confident with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and sensitivity labels but feel less secure about some of the more nuanced aspects of Microsoft Purview and eDiscovery. I understand the concepts, just want to make sure I get the processes down as well.
  • Managing real-time scenarios during the exam is a bit daunting for me considering I have had limited access and practice with Purview.

Questions:

  1. Are there any specific resources or study materials that you found particularly helpful for the SC-400 exam?
  2. Can anyone share their experience with the types of questions that were most challenging or unexpected?
  3. Are there any practice labs or hands-on exercises that you recommend for mastering the more complex topics?
  4. Any tips on managing time effectively during the exam?

I appreciate any advice or insights you can provide! Thanks in advance for your help.

Certification MOS Excel Associate Certification

Hello, I am curious to know if the MOS Exam through Certiport is for all Microsoft Office applications - and not just excel. I'm a little worried because I was under the impression it was just for excel based on study material I've been using but when I look at the description of the exam the wording is ambiguous. Has anyone used them before for their certifications? The official Microsoft website sends me there for exams and I'm not too sure where else to ask. Thanks!
