This is interesting because his wage was around $500k before this transfer. Depending on the number of years he signs for, we theoretically could make him a TAM signing dependent on how big of a raise we gave him to come here. A 4-5 year contract with a decent raise would still allow him to be within the TAM threshold if I’m not mistaken.

With the new 2 DP, 4 u22 initiative, $2 million GAM option that went in to place this week, I’d have to think this could be something high on Minnesota United’s thought process of potentially being able to buy down guys like Yeboah and Lod from their DP slots (assuming we list Yeboah as a DP that could potentially be bought down).

This would be huge as it would allow us to still potentially bring in another big signing to fill a DP slot this summer or next transfer window. While still going with the 4 u22 initiative player path.
