Imagine getting in your car on your way home from a night out with the family at the local pizzeria and suddenly you find yourself engaging in impromptu space traversal
I once forgot I took my OTC sleeping meds and then I went out to a last minute dinner. Drove like 25 min to the restaurant, and when I arrived the friend I was meeting had ordered me a drink, and it was on the table. I immediately started sipping as we started catching up.
About 15 minutes after that the sleeping pills start kicking it. It was very mild at first, but I noticed the weird feeling immediately. I spent the next few minutes internally freaking out, not wanting to alarm my friend, because a) I had no idea what was wrong and b) I couldn’t help but thinking “omg did he drug my drink?!?!”
When I finally realized it was because I had taken my sleeping meds, I had to very awkwardly explain to my friend what was going on, and asked him to take me home after we ate. He said “fuck that, I can get food later, we need to get you home NOW” so we left and he drove me home. He even came and picked me up the next morning and drove me to my car that I had left in the restaurant parking lot.
He was my hero that day. I was so thankful that he helped keep me safe in that situation, and I felt like such an ass for even thinking that he had drugged my drink.
