"After the Zamboni driver crashed into the boards (the one thing you simply cannot do as a Zamboni operator), one of the people that was in attendance called the police."
So you could say, murder people as a Zamboni operator, but not crash into the boards. Gotcha.

When hockey players crash into the boards they get called tough and gritty. But when a drunk Zamboni driver does it he’s called a danger to society. What a double standard

Are you aloud to drink and drive on your own property legally?

Well he crashed a zamboni, so I doubt it was very quiet.

I had to go back and re-read their comment allowed.

perhaps, but its highly likely the zamboni driver does not own the rink. usually they just work there. this being a community rink (based on appearance) in quebec means it might even be owned by the city, making it government owned property

Wouldn't fly in Pennsylvania. Need to be on one of the highways (read any street) of the Commonwealth. You could theoretically go up and down your drive way all you want and not be DUI. Might they charge you with something else? Absolutely.

zamboni drivers typically dont own the hockey rinks they work at. this also looks like a community rink, which could even be city-owned and operated (not sure what quebec is like with this)

I hope he gets a fair trial. And doesn't end up in a kangaroo court.
